So although this restaurant has been around for quite a while and I've passed it by millions of times lol this is my first time stopping by to try it out. And I'm so glad i did! The food was delicious! I got the chorizo breakfast with a side of potato spuds and man were they good!! The service was so friendly, attentive and fast! It's a bit small inside but I loved that fact. It made it feel very intimate whenever you needed to get the staffs attention you could get it so so easily.

World's saddest (looking and tasting) huevos rancheros
    Ching L.

Wow my huevos rancheros was so sad (both in looks and taste). The spanish sauce on it tasted just like regular store-bought Tostitos salsa and everything was in a soft mushy mess. I regretted not getting the vegetarian mix or some kind of eggs scramble. It looked like another table got it and it looked much better. The biscuit was also too soft. I didn't have the gravy because it's not vegetarian. The loaded home fries were delicious though! Must have! Service was super nice but definitely quite slow. Took us half an hour to get our orders in but once we did, everything came out super fast. Don't come here if you've got somewhere to go later but it's a good spot to chill and catch up. Our server was really accommodating to our dog and even brought out a water bowl for her on the patio.

Great customer service, tasteful food (fresh and delicious). Brandon was friendly, efficient, and overall fantastic. This is a great breakfast spot with huge portions. I had the baja omelette with the grabby biscuits and a banana pancake as my sides. Washed down with a mimosa. Recommended.

I prefer my scrambled egg on the soft side and they do them well here. I love the crispy home fries and the sausage link were cooked to perfection. They have indoor dining seating and the outdoor patio is super nice, perfect when the weather is nice outside. The service staff work hard and even when it got busy the still managed to be attentive.

OMG! This is my new favorite breakfast spot! We randomly found this place while in the area, and I'm so glad we found it. The food is legit delicious. The service by brandon exceptional and if you appreciate a huge coffee cup like me, this is the spot. I don't live near here, but I will definitely come back. The Chorizo omelette and the blueberry banana pancakes are MMMmmnn yummy.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Solid breakfast option in the LBC. Eggs Etc has become one of our fave breakfast spots for their good food, service, and reasonable prices. It generally doesn't get quite mobbed like coffee cup or breakfast bar and they open earlier than most other spots, if you're the early bird type. The food is typical diner fare, nothing fancy, but as such, they're good at what they do. I've tried several different items and they've all been good. Their home fries are crisp (I didn't even have to ask for then well done), and the banana pancakes are A+. Their patio is very pleasant on a warm day and their service has always been great. What's not to like?

02/17/24 I have driven by here numerous times and always say I'll try this place soon - years have passed and I finally did it. Met with my friend for breakfast and she wanted outside seating. It was a beautiful morning so it was perfect. Got there about 8:30am and there was no one on the patio. I ordered the Baja omelette: Chorizo, onions, sour cream, avocado and cheese. It comes with country potatoes and one side. I got a pancake and it was huge! I loved my meal. It was so good. It had a slight spice to it which I loved because I'm not crazy about too much spice. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict. She is very particular of how the egg should be made. She said it was slightly overcooked but gave it a 8/10. It did give her the runny yolk she was looking for but still slightly overcooked. The two waiters who tended to us were so nice and attentive. I would come back just because of that. 10/10 I will definitely be back.

My husband and I really enjoyed the delicious food. The pancakes are best in town. The staff is very courteous and nice....especially the owner.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. I stopped in for a coffee and a side of bacon, and my total was almost $20. For such a simple order, that's hard to justify. I understand food costs have increased, but the pricing feels excessive compared to other local restaurants that serve quality food at much more reasonable prices. My biggest concern, however, is the impact the business has had on our neighborhood. Since Zuzu's Petals opened, we've noticed a significant increase in litter, much of it appearing to be food and drink packaging from the restaurant. Weekend traffic on the sidewalks has become overwhelming, customers often park in alleyways or in unsafe locations, and it has made our neighborhood much more difficult to navigate. We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

One thing I would call out is to double-check that your drink is made with the alcohol you requested. I watched him make it and had to ask our server to confirm what was in the drink.
