We've had breakfast/brunch several times at Eggcellent in downtown Lewes and have always enjoyed the food and the service. We're looking forward to trying their new location on Coastal Highway. We hope to like it just as much. read more

Food was great (except for the hair in our sandwich). Service was terrible. Waited 10 minutes to have our order taken & about 25 more minutes for our food. It was busy, but it seemed like they didn't even know/ care we were there? Saw our server 3 times. Take order, drop off food, drop off check. read more

Delicious as always! We have never had a bad meal yet! The ultimate BLT is amazing! Highly recommend!

Warm atmosphere. Gracious and professional service. Delicious food, thoughtfully designed and beautifully prepared. Do try the rice pudding!

I highly recommend this cafe for breakfast! The food was hot and cooked perfectly. The coffee was very good and the services was outstanding! The egg white omelette with bacon and Swiss was full of flavor with plenty of cheese. The home fries were fresh and steaming hot with a perfect char. The scrambled eggs with cheddar was perfectly tasty as well as the sausage patties. The English muffins were toasted perfectly with plenty of butter, as well as the rye bread toast. Forget every place else because this is breakfast done right! read more

Very friendly staff. Had the Avocado toast with pico de gallo and 2 eggs - so good! Great mimosas! Will be back read more

Have always had great food here. Sometimes the service is not the best, but now days all the restaurants are having server shortages. We like sitting outside. read more

The servers always serve with a smile. They bring the best service and food is always eggaxctly what I ordered.

This restaurant is amazing... Everything on the menu was good! If you want to be really decadent, order the Elvis... French toast with bananas, peanut butter and bacon... And they also have cold brew con Leche which is such a wonderful treat... Excellent service and five star food! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Nancy was one of the worst servers I have ever had in my entire life. She slowly, and I mean SLOWLY, fumbled over the device to get our order. She then took less than 3 steps from our table before speaking Spanish to her coworker. I guess in Nancy's mind spanish is a secret lost language shared only between the two of them. However, my boyfriend was able to understand that she just called US dumba**es. When she brought the food out, she slammed in on the table. To the point food jumped from the plate. Finally, we had enough. We asked for the bill. We see a silly charge: $6 for bacon. I'm very curious about this extra charge as we were told the bacon was included with the pancakes. I guess Nancy REALLY wanted 20% of a high tip. Well here's some tips Nancy 1) perhaps introduce yourself (or were you worried you'd receive a review like such if you dared mention your name because you know of your sour attitude?) 2) spanish is not a lost language, consider reading the room just a tad bit more 3) perhaps the service industry is not for you. or any industry around other humans. And finally a tip for the wonderful owners and managers of Eggcellent: consider firing Nancy. read more

Do not mind the name, they have an excellent vegan wrap. We had a huge french toast and orange juice (which was just squeezed) and coffee (perfect) Their fries were good too and portions were large. With parking spaces just in front, this is an excellent little café. read more

We had a very nice lunch sitting outside. Club sandwich and veggie omelette served piping hot. Waitress was very nice and helpful.

We went yesterday for breakfast - never been there before and we will never go back.....I ordered the smoked salmon avocado toast and the salmon was so salty it was inedible....my husband ordered scrambled eggs and sausage - the eggs were overdone and the sausage patties were disgusting.....No real problem with the service bot the food was AWFUL! When there are so many better breakfast places close by why go back there? NEVER! read more

A nice little restaurant. The "Banana Foster" French toast was very good. Not too sweet. They serve what I consider to be large portions!

Awesome food and great service! I highly recommend Eggcellent! I had a huge cheesesteak and my wife had the Tuscan chicken. More food than we could eat. read more

Went for brunch/lunch. They are very respectful of Covid measures to keep everyone safe. Nice menu with creative breakfast items. Our service was a little less than expected. The server did not know the menu or how items may be cooked. In addition, our expectation during breakfast is to have coffee and tea refills. For a Sunday, very important for servers to be trained and bring their "A" game. read more

Wanted to enjoy this place but $7 for room temperature OJ ? Cmon. Food ok-ordered veggie omelet and was served a western omelette.

I had the veggie supreme and french toast. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and professional.

Excellent breakfast! I have been twice and both times enjoyed the French Toast and western omelet. Friendly environment, with indoor and outdoor seating available. read more

So glad we found this place. As of this writing it has been in business only two months. I had the breakfast burrito and it was huge and fantastic. It rivaled the homemade tortillas I have had in Texas and Arizona. And the scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. read more

Great local family egg-themed breakfast/lunch restaurant. Avocado toast was delish and had just the right amount of "kick". The onion rings are an upgrade but are to die for! Great friendly service. Watch if you get the parking spot right out front as it's max is 30mins so set an alarm to go feed it! Rest of the limited parking spots are not like that. Beer and wine are served. Overall was very pleased with everything and my mouth is very happy! read more

My daughter and i ate breakfast here last Sunday. Due to the pandemic, i was glad they had comfortable patio seating. Tables are well spaced. French toast, omelette and fresh squeezed oj was all excellent. Waitress was great also. Nothing bad to say about this place at all. read more

Servers were amazing and the food was simply phenomenal. I highly recommend their french toasts and omelettes. Every service is huge, two people can easily from one plate. Try their freshly squeeze grapefruit juice is delish,; their custom coffees list are to die for. We were five at the table, we all ordered different things and created our own breakfast brunch. Don't miss it, Eggcellent will soon become a treasured foodies landmark for this area. Ask for Jasmine she will make sure you are well taken care of. AA++ read more

The atmosphere was nice but small tables. The breakfast was mediocre with the pancakes being too thick and rubbery too eat. The eggs Benedict was good though the tomatoes made for soggy English muffin. Not what I expected for a very pricy breakfast. read more

We found this lovely brunch spot on Yelp, and were surprised that it wasn't more crowded on Sunday around noon. Then our very friendly and attentive server told us they'd only been open for eight days! Absolutely delicious pancakes that smelled heavenly! Multiple servers told us the French toast is even better! Omelets and my side of scrambled eggs were only lightly seasoned, which is an FYI and not a complaint. read more

Tepid, weak coffee and cold tea water in a cup without a teapot, along with an overpriced, overcooked, oversized and completely flavorless veggie and feta omelet and one order of eggs Benedict added up to an astounding $40+ . If you're going to charge city prices, don't serve flavorless, unseasoned food. We're local and won't be back. It's cute, but that only goes so far when the tab with tip totals $51. Tourist trap! read more

Best Breakfast in Lewes! We have been coming to Lewes for years. Since Eggcellent opened, we have eaten here at least 5 times. The juice is squeezed right in front of you at the bar, the French toast and Elvis are amazing, the breakfast Burrito is so tasty and the service is great! We don't go anywhere else! I have only eaten once for lunch but the Overfalls Burger was one of the best burgers I have had - truly memorable! I heard they just added some breakfast mimosas and other drinks to the menu - can't wait to try them as well!! Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Cute restaurant. So it was good but not exceptional. I over the avocado toast which had a bit of Mexican flare with the salsa and garbanzo beans, but it was just OK. Husband got the excellent omelet, which was good. Probably the best part of our meal was the breakfast margarita. Nice place to come and have breakfast and chat with a friend, but if you're a foodie looking for an exceptional experience it wouldn't be my top choice. read more

Very tasty I took me n my lady friend ;) ;) here for a nice brunch ... very kind human being for the most part but the reason I'm giving this restaurant a 4 star review is because I found eggs in my food an Im so scared of salmonella poisoning an so is my lady friend I was so disappointed when i ordered my French toast but the egg in it made me mad why can't it just be called egg cooked bread still will never understand peoples mind I hope this helps someone know they cook with eggs! :) - Karen Stewart. read more

The food here is amazing, they have a very large selection and everything I've had tastes amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. And they're being very safe with covid, social distancing, sanitizing, gloves, etc. You have to try the french toast! Also, did I mention amazing specials? We are locals and walked by the other day noting the dinner menu. We decided to try it tonight for my husband's Birthday. I made a reservation and sat outside which was very pleasant. I'm not a big seafood person so I chatted with the waitress about my remaining choices and what she would recommend. She said everyone liked the steak. So I ordered the steak. It came to me very rare not medium as ordered. It had to go back to the kitchen. My husband had Rockfish which was fair at best. My meal returned , now cooked but the meat had absolutely no taste at all. The chef offered nothing. The waitress offered a bottle of some sauce to pour on the meat for some flavor! So I ended up with $35.00 mashed potatoes. We hoped to find a new addition to our local dining, unfortunately that did not happen. read more

The food is fantastic! We discovered this little gem by accident. We had a delicious lunch and decided to come back for dinner. The seafood trio and the chicken sauté were excellent. The owner brought us hummus on toasted bread with olive oil, best I ever had. We highly recommend this place. Service , food, atmosphere. Wow. read more
