Wonderful brunch! Stopped in on my birthday for brunch and had a lovely experience. We had the Pistachio Honey Latte, Shakshuka, beef soup, salmon toast and maple veggies. As a Shakshuka lover who has spent time in Israel I am quite picky about my Shakshuka but I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised by this one and enjoyed every bite! The beef soup was a bit bland unfortunately but the salmon toast has copious amounts of salmon and was delicious. The maple veggies were also wonderful. The pistachio honey latte was perfectly balanced not being overly sweet. Service was nothing to note as you seat yourself and get your own food here but staff was nice. Ambiance was alright, we had to sit out in the patio area which while heated was a less than desirable location to eat but it wasn't bad. We stopped here for a quick hot drink. It was super crowded and kind of confusing. It seemed that there was a line for pastries, a line for coffee and a restaurant. My bf ordered a cappuccino and I ordered a matcha. Before I ordered I asked if the matcha was ceremonial grade and the barista said hold on. He then went and asked someone else working and he came back and answered "It's flying bird". huh? So I said "so no?" and he shrugged. The drinks took a long long time to make and while we were waiting people kept asking us where the hostess was. I didn't see her but again it was crowded and a confusing layout. Servers should be made to wear hairnets. I took my daughter in law there for coffee. We had a nice coffee however the servers were milling around as if they were lost. There was no sugar out on the tables or napkins. We had to repeatedly ask for utensils as if we were going to eat with our hands. I purchased 4 beautiful individual cheese cakes with strawberries on them. Imagine my disappointment when they found hair in the desserts. Such a cute spot. Asked the hostess for a seat outside and enjoyed the screened in porch. I was told to order at one of the two bars, but I just ordered using the QR code and made my order came pretty quick. Stopped here for brunch and so glad we did. It was my first visit but won't be my last. We got a seat outside and were able to bring our dog who loved watching the people come and go. It has a great outside dining area and quite a few tables. It was a Friday and very busy but we got a table right away. Lots of flowers and plans so good ambience. We tried to order our food by scanning the QR code but when we pulled up the menu it was missing some items so we had to go inside to order our food. We got the French Omelette, Crab Avocado Toast and the hummus board. All were delicious and a decent size. There is self serve water outside but it was empty so I waved down a nice young man who filled up right away and made sure I was aware he did it so that was nice. We got some sweets to go, a croissant, some cupcakes, and a lemon poppyseed cookie. Everything was so good. There are lots of options to choose from the menu and the bakery so you could try something different each time. Great little place with something for everyone. They have excellent bread and pastries. I also got a delicious slice of pizza here. They have a prepared food section where you can grab and go. Amazing! Fantastic! Delicious! Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and was thrilled to be able to get a table indoors right away. Three of us dined and everything we got was great. We got the Beet Salad, white chicken chili, butternut squash soup, and ricotta toast... and I wish I could eat all of that every day! They get busy, so be patient while you wait - and be mindful of how long you keep your table... but definitely worth it to visit. Came here again 2x on this trip as well. I was so impressed with this place last year that I had to come here again this year. I am obsessed with their crab and avocado toast. This year, they added chill crisp on top, but I prefer the former. This time I tried a new bevy - the honey salt pistachio latte. OMG - this drink reminds me of this drink that I love in Taipei. The foam is super thick, that you can eat it with a spoon and stays throughout all the sips. The decor is super cute and I appreciate the outdoor fly fans. They have loads of cute things for sale. BLUF: Quality coffee, fancy baked goods, a quant cafe, neat architecture and friendly employees - what's not to love? I love The Station on Kings. While you can have the hostess sit you for a cafe meal in the atrium I have only visited fr their quality coffee and decadent pastries. Oh, I also like wondering around and looking at the gift items. I am just a black coffee drinker so I appreciate that they have good coffee. I also adore the beautiful display of baked goods and of course their taste. Today's favorites were the Elevated Ho Ho, a decadent brownie and a chewy, spicy ginger cookie. Delish. I'm amused at some of the negative reviews of The Station on Kings, as the main complaints reference a combination of the prices being overly high relative to the food quality/quantity or that this place caters more to tourists than locals. All valid points, but keep in mind that the Lewes/Rehoboth/Dewey Beach areas are extremely touristy which contributes millions of dollars into the their respective economies. I dunno...I think Station on Kings is a good place. My only "complaint" is that perhaps it's trying to be too many things. Upon walking in, you would be forgiven if you thought this was another Delaware beach town gift shop, as there are mugs, candles, clothing, and other beachy type paraphenalia for sale. You might also think this place is a high-end boutique grocery with refrigerated cases selling cheeses, deli meats, and beverages. You might also think this is a road side cafe with an enclosed dining space serving coffee/tea, sandwiches, and other light bites. All of these descriptors of Station on Kings would be correct. During my recent stay, I popped in to get some pastries for breakfast as I was told by locals that The Station on Kings bake all of the items on premise. I purchased a variety of croissants, donuts, muffins, and a loaf of bread. I already knew that these items would not be "cheap," with most of the items ranging in the $5-$7 and the bread running about $12. So was the $75 I spent worth it? I'd say generally "yes." The almond croissant had a generous spread of marzipan and nicely toasted almond slivers with a dusting of confectioners sugar. The plain croissants were flaky and airy with a buttery smooth flavor. Donuts are donuts...which is to say, they were fine and honestly, not really worth $5/piece. The loaf of artisnal bread was fantastic and made for excellent sandwiches over three days. There is also a coffee bar which I did not partake of, since the Airbnb had one of those fancy Nespresso machines. But I did observe lots of folks walking over to get their caffeine fix after paying for their pastries. Here's the deal...if you're coming to a beach town or any tourist spot, expect to pay a bit higher for items. And TBH, the prices for the items at Station on Kings are very comparable to what I'd pay in the DC area. And for freshly baked goods, I generally think you're getting decent value for the money. Just stay away from the overpriced tchotchkes and you'll be fine. read more

Definitely not the place you'll get the most bang for your buck. That being said, staff are (overall) pretty friendly. This place is somewhat dog friendly but obviously don't be rude and leave your doggie bags when you depart. The artwork is always changing and the aesthetic is great. I was having a terrible morning, job didn't work out, left the boyfriend, straight up uprooted my life and moved from Philly. Among my distress I wanted a sweet treat, these pastries looked amazing, you can tell they actually laminate in house- strikingly resembling my favorite NYC shops. So I got one..okay fine two. The wonderful woman at the register says "do you want anything to drink" Hell yes I do. I ordered a white chocolate latte (or something along those lines) of course, having the terrible no good very bad day I was having, I spilled it. All over their counter. WOW nice. Without skipping a beat the barista angels helped me clean it up, along with my act (as this point I'm approaching the verge of actual tears over spilled milk) and made me a brand new drink. Visited here today on our little coffee hopping trip. Was a bit disappointed because Yelp listed the hours as 8-6 but it's 8-4 daily. Of course we showed up at 3:55. But they were flexible and let us buy coffee and sit. Really cool area, you sit in a greenhouse type setting. It was very warm on a cold and windy day. Lots of sunlight and pretty garden area view. The people working the registers and greeting visitors were nice enough considering we came late. Oh, I love this place. Every single time I come it never disappoints, the service is superb and fast. The quality of the drinks and food are outstanding. Today I ordered an almond milk latte with half Earl Grey syrup and half vanilla syrup. It was out of this world!! I cannot wait to come back to reorder the same flavors - and that's saying some thing since I have an innate rule to never order the same thing twice. This place is one of my favorite places in lewes! I make sure to stop here every time I'm in town. The coffees are delicious and the syrups are house made. The bakery is out of this world. They always have different seasonal items. I haven't had one pastry I didn't like. You order your food and drinks at the inside counter, then food is delivered to your table. We ordered a shareable set of items for the table...flatbread, toast and a sandwich. The peach flatbread was piled high with fresh peach slices, prosciutto, blackberries, greens and a balsamic drizzle. The mushroom toast was so hearty, it ate like meat topped with shaved parmesan. Very cute space, and tons of people flock to it for the good coffee and pastries. There are three lines to choose from - to the right to get seated, straight ahead to get pastries (they will let you order coffee and pay together), or to the left for coffees only. You can also order to-go from both lines. Plenty of outdoor seating and the line moves relatively fast. I got a sticky bun and a mojito tart the first day, both solid, but they were out of almost everything on a busy Saturday around 11am! Only cupcakes left. These were the best cappuccinos we had in Lewes, outshining the Italian place on the corner and the bakery/coffee roasters on 2nd St. The doughnut with hibiscus/blood orange glaze was fantastic and so was the fruit/cream brioche.
