I was recommended to come here by a friend. I am an executive chef who has dined a lot of different restaurants. If I'm being honest, I wasn't expecting much but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. They have a great selection of pastries and everything looked legit. I got the ham and cheese croissant, a sticky bun and a coffee cake. Let me tell you, all three were stupid good. The croissant was perfect and you could tell the ham and cheese used was high quality. The sticky bun was yeasty, well balanced and had a ton of pecan goup on it. I also got a cold brew with a shot of espresso that was exceptional as well. I do wish they offered more sizes on cold coffee but I can live with what they offer. Parking is tight but who really cares about that, you know? I'll definitely be coming back in the future. The service here is perfectly fine, everyone was professional and quick to do their job. They are a very busy business, they're not going to rub your back while you take your time ordering your food. This dining experience here was fantastic. We found this place on YELP while staying in Rehoboth Beach in late September. The lunch hour cuisine was really good. We had the butternut squash soup , deviled eggs and the chicken salad on a croissant. The coffees were high quality too. The dining area is very casual. The cafe is attached to a very nice bakery and boutique which is situated just south of downtown Lewes. The only downer: The parking lot is very rough. It is all gravel with a lot of stormwater ponding and it wax very muddy. Very limited spaces too. It was hard fining a parking space but it is worth the aggravation to experience this place. read more

A beautiful setting and some seriously good breakfast! Station on Kings combines homemade breads with a lovely garden setting, making it a particularly enjoyable place for breakfast. I had the flaky croissant sandwich with Cooper Sharp cheese, smoked bacon, and scrambled eggs. The combination was simple, but everything was done really well and flaky. We also split the cinnamon roll, which was as large as it was delicious; soft, generously iced, and definitely big enough to share. Good food, homemade breads, and a beautiful setting make Station on Kings a place I'd happily return to for breakfast. Took away one star for a lack of a paved parking lot. Came at lunch time on a weekday in the summer, it was absolutely slammed so I got a salad to go. Parking is rough, one in one out - patience is needed, it's a small lot, not sure if there is overflow. There's a small shop inside with housewares and kitchen items, it's cute! Outside there's a plant store. My salad was actually delish - it was a beet salad with goat cheese. Overall, I think it's a cute space but definitely not a quick spot to sit and eat with the big crowd, may be better in the off season! read more

The Station on Kings was such a treat on the eyes and the stomach. It was a pretty just morning when we arrived, so we waited about 30 minutes for a table, but there was plenty to do while waiting. The store is well stocked with trinkets and things to look at, and there is a nursery attached. Once our number was called, we order at the register inside, and then sat down at our table. The shrimp ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright in flavor, my mango matcha was fantastic. It was like a mango smoothie and matcha combined. The BLT was HUGE, I couldn't finish it. The bacon was thick cut and crispy, my favorite. The peach burrata flatbread fell a bit short. The peaches weren't ripe enough to give it good flavor. Desserts look so much better than they tasted;especially what they cost. I was a bit disappointed. Lemon poppyseed cookie was a little dense and heavy on the powdered sugar. We had an assortment of desserts which overall the consistent was ok to no. The carrot cake was fine, lemon so so, cheesecake and some kind of take on (maybe a black cherry or forest). Wonderful brunch! Stopped in on my birthday for brunch and had a lovely experience. We had the Pistachio Honey Latte, Shakshuka, beef soup, salmon toast and maple veggies. As a Shakshuka lover who has spent time in Israel I am quite picky about my Shakshuka but I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised by this one and enjoyed every bite! The beef soup was a bit bland unfortunately but the salmon toast has copious amounts of salmon and was delicious. The maple veggies were also wonderful. The pistachio honey latte was perfectly balanced not being overly sweet. Service was nothing to note as you seat yourself and get your own food here but staff was nice. Ambiance was alright, we had to sit out in the patio area which while heated was a less than desirable location to eat but it wasn't bad. We stopped here for a quick hot drink. It was super crowded and kind of confusing. It seemed that there was a line for pastries, a line for coffee and a restaurant. My bf ordered a cappuccino and I ordered a matcha. Before I ordered I asked if the matcha was ceremonial grade and the barista said hold on. He then went and asked someone else working and he came back and answered "It's flying bird". huh? So I said "so no?" and he shrugged. The drinks took a long long time to make and while we were waiting people kept asking us where the hostess was. I didn't see her but again it was crowded and a confusing layout. I had a wonderful visit to The Station on King! I ordered the salted pistachio latte and a matcha latte, along with a couple of desserts. I was honestly blown away by the salted pistachio latte, it was the highlight of my visit!. The bakery items were also quite good and paired perfectly with the drinks. All things carefully procured, the Station offers pantry goods, fresh daily baked bread and pastries, cafes and teas of various blends, and even fun items for your kitchen ware and home coffee bar. Onsite is a full cafe serving full menu of seasonal creations. Adjoining is a beautiful garden be sure to check out the greenhouse for indoor plants and the shed for pottery needs. Parking is very limited, please caution when entering and leaving the property. There is one way in and one way out. Stopped here for brunch and so glad we did. It was my first visit but won't be my last. We got a seat outside and were able to bring our dog who loved watching the people come and go. It has a great outside dining area and quite a few tables. It was a Friday and very busy but we got a table right away. Lots of flowers and plans so good ambience. We tried to order our food by scanning the QR code but when we pulled up the menu it was missing some items so we had to go inside to order our food. We got the French Omelette, Crab Avocado Toast and the hummus board. All were delicious and a decent size. There is self serve water outside but it was empty so I waved down a nice young man who filled up right away and made sure I was aware he did it so that was nice. We got some sweets to go, a croissant, some cupcakes, and a lemon poppyseed cookie. Everything was so good. There are lots of options to choose from the menu and the bakery so you could try something different each time. I loved this place and will come back again, but might wait until after September when the crowds have died down a bit. read more

Great little place with something for everyone. They have excellent bread and pastries. I also got a delicious slice of pizza here. They have a prepared food section where you can grab and go. If you need some Christmas decorations or need a tree or garland for your door, just go outside to their live display. They have space for inside dining. Great stop during holiday season. read more

Def a must try. Frothier savory croissants in the case to the desserts and coffees. This seems more European style how they have you pay first which is understandable. I don't get the having tables outside and in. And giving a table service with a menu and not having the server take your order and finish the payment there. That's what I've noticed that is different from a European bakery. They would have the case display and coffee paid first but if you wanted something off menu. Order at table. We got the Beet Salad, white chicken chili, butternut squash soup, and ricotta toast... and I wish I could eat all of that every day! They get busy, so be patient while you wait - and be mindful of how long you keep your table... but definitely worth it to visit. Came here again 2x on this trip as well. I was so impressed with this place last year that I had to come here again this year. I am obsessed with their crab and avocado toast. This year, they added chill crisp on top, but I prefer the former. This time I tried a new bevy - the honey salt pistachio latte. OMG - this drink reminds me of this drink that I love in Taipei. The foam is super thick, that you can eat it with a spoon and stays throughout all the sips. The decor is super cute and I appreciate the outdoor fly fans. They have loads of cute things for sale. I also want to highlight a staff here. Brook is amazing. Please tip prior when you're paying at the register. I die for this lady's arms. She was super nice and on it. BLUF: Quality coffee, fancy baked goods, a quant cafe, neat architecture and friendly employees - what's not to love? I love The Station on Kings. While you can have the hostess sit you for a cafe meal in the atrium I have only visited fr their quality coffee and decadent pastries. Oh, I also like wondering around and looking at the gift items. I am just a black coffee drinker so I appreciate that they have good coffee. I also adore the beautiful display of baked goods and of course their taste. Today's favorites were the Elevated Ho Ho, a decadent brownie and a chewy, spicy ginger cookie. Delish. I'm amused at some of the negative reviews of The Station on Kings, as the main complaints reference a combination of the prices being overly high relative to the food quality/quantity or that this place caters more to tourists than locals. All valid points, but keep in mind that the Lewes/Rehoboth/Dewey Beach areas are extremely touristy which contributes millions of dollars into the their respective economies. I dunno...I think Station on Kings is a good place. My only "complaint" is that perhaps it's trying to be too many things. Upon walking in, you would be forgiven if you thought this was another Delaware beach town gift shop, as there are mugs, candles, clothing, and other beachy type paraphenalia for sale. You might also think this place is a high-end boutique grocery with refrigerated cases selling cheeses, deli meats, and beverages. You might also think this is a road side cafe with an enclosed dining space serving coffee/tea, sandwiches, and other light bites. All of these descriptors of Station on Kings would be correct. During my recent stay, I popped in to get some pastries for breakfast as I was told by locals that The Station on Kings bake all of the items on premise. I purchased a variety of croissants, donuts, muffins, and a loaf of bread. I already knew that these items would not be "cheap," with most of the items ranging in the $5-$7 and the bread running about $12. So was the $75 I spent worth it? I'd say generally "yes." The almond croissant had a generous spread of marzipan and nicely toasted almond slivers with a dusting of confectioners sugar. The plain croissants were flaky and airy with a buttery smooth flavor. Donuts are donuts...which is to say, they were fine and honestly, not really worth $5/piece. The loaf of artisnal bread was fantastic and made for excellent sandwiches over three days. There is also a coffee bar which I did not partake of, since the Airbnb had one of those fancy Nespresso machines. But I did observe lots of folks walking over to get their caffeine fix after paying for their pastries. Here's the deal...if you're coming to a beach town or any tourist spot, expect to pay a bit higher for items. And TBH, the prices for the items at Station on Kings are very comparable to what I'd pay in the DC area. And for freshly baked goods, I generally think you're getting decent value for the money. Just stay away from the overpriced tchotchkes and you'll be fine. read more

Definitely not the place you'll get the most bang for your buck. That being said, staff are (overall) pretty friendly. This place is somewhat dog friendly but obviously don't be rude and leave your doggie bags when you depart. The artwork is always changing and the aesthetic is great.
