Set just off Lewes' main drag on 2nd street, This is a souvenir shop. I know that seems obvious…read morebut it should be said in a town, and I love Lewes, where many of the tourist shops seem a little high end, this is where you go for that sweatshirt or t-shirt or cheesy xmas tree ornament of Santa on the beach, or a wonderful stuffed toy or fridge magnet or oven mitt or whatever silly thing you want to remind you of your vacation. It is silly and fun and more important, when you realize you didn't bring enough t-shirts or whatever for the beach days, this is the placer to stop. The price is fair and the quality is good. And for customer care, oh yes. A few years ago, I didn't pack enough warm things, and it was surprisingly cold on this trip, I was looking at the outside early in the morning trying to see when it would open so I could get a good thick hoodie. A man leaned out of his car to ask if he could help me. I said I was just looking to see when it would open so I could get a heavy pull over. The man in the car was the owner and opened an hour early just to help me out. THAT stuck in my mind as going above and beyond.

Just Lewes is a shop just off the beaten path of the main district people shop. Consider this an…read moreextension of that area and you kind of get a two for one spot here. Just Lewes and Lewes Wear don't just share a wall, but the business when it comes down to it. Came here in search of my magnet and they did not disappoint on that front. I grabbed one after looking over what they had to offer and became a bit confused. See, even though they share a wall/business you don't know that when you first walk in here. Each side is set up to take business and payment. At the time of my visit there was no indication on what to do when you were ready to pay. In the end, we figured it out, but still, the confusion of it all. While we were figuring out what to do for payment, we took that time to browse the rest of what they had to offer on this side of the wall. From hoodies to stuffed animals you could find here. Some with town names, some without. Signs to hang on your wall, and a lot of other items you would find in a beach town souvenir shop. On our visit here, we had to go next door to Lewes Wear to pay. This spot was honestly an extension of next door, just more focused on clothing. The gentleman working that day was very pleasant and we were out of there in no time.

Recently, every trip I have taken I come back with at least a magnet to commemorate the trip. I…read morealways attempt to find a local shop that has them available to purchase. My first attempt at securing a magnet brought me here. With this place, it is more of home decor items than it is souvenir items. I mean, the home decor items can be souvenirs, but when you are just looking for the knickknack type of things, this may not be your stop. The items inside were beautiful. Well displayed, stock was maybe a bit overwhelming, it is well lit. If you have the time, you can definitely lose track of it in here. Although I did not find what I was looking for, I did enjoy browsing and the staff were pleasant and polite. Just be careful if you feel claustrophobic, it can be a tight squeeze in here if you don't like close spaces.

I did not spot postcards but I did find a small dish that will be nice for holding random bits on my desk. Prices here tend to range from bargain to expensive. My dish was wrapped nicely and ready for travel as it still has 2000 miles to go. [Review 18208 overall - 122 in Delaware - 1730 of 2022.]

This dining experience here was fantastic. We found this place on YELP while staying in Rehoboth…read moreBeach in late September. The lunch hour cuisine was really good. We had the butternut squash soup , deviled eggs and the chicken salad on a croissant. The coffees were high quality too. The dining area is very casual. The cafe is attached to a very nice bakery and boutique which is situated just south of downtown Lewes. The only downer: The parking lot is very rough. It is all gravel with a lot of stormwater ponding and it wax very muddy. Very limited spaces too. It was hard fining a parking space but it is worth the aggravation to experience this place.

A beautiful setting and some seriously good breakfast!…read more Station on Kings combines homemade breads with a lovely garden setting, making it a particularly enjoyable place for breakfast. I had the flaky croissant sandwich with Cooper Sharp cheese, smoked bacon, and scrambled eggs. The combination was simple, but everything was done really well and flaky. We also split the cinnamon roll, which was as large as it was delicious; soft, generously iced, and definitely big enough to share. Good food, homemade breads, and a beautiful setting make Station on Kings a place I'd happily return to for breakfast. Took away one star for a lack of a paved parking lot. I don't like tracking in slop after a rain.
