I placed a pick up order around 1pm. The restaurant was packed and my order took 15 minutes longer than it was supposed to. The salad with chicken salad on top cost $23 which I thought was excessive; however after I ate it, I did not mind. The chicken salad was fantastic and so was their balsamic dressing. I would highly recommend stopping in, just make sure you have time to wait during the summer season.
This spot is funny and Delaware kitsch, and really does hit the mark for what you're loooking for, if you're looking for a spot in Delaware for Breakfast/Lunch/Brunch that feels authentic to the area. The juices are honestly quite good, and I even got tequila in my juice, which was nice. The food however is questionable, and it really does make you yearn for something better. The Acai bowl was somehow the coldest Acai bowl I've ever had! The service is cute small town USA - it's not bad, but it' snot anything special unless you're looking for nostalgia in 2026. The ambiance also plays on the small town USA, but brings it to a more modern vibe. This is not bad for Lewes, but it just doesn't live up to the expectations of someone visiting from NYC.
Seating is pretty limited so get here early and if you have a big party make sure you make a reservation. Customer service was pretty good. Decor was funny to look at. Food was pretty good. We ordered the following: Mami- Rainbow brioche w/ almond butter: 9/10 said it was very good Me- Good morning sunshine: 8/10 Salmon Benny w/ avocado: 9/10 I wasn't a fan of the sweet potato hash, but everything else was amazing.
What an adorable spot for breakfast and lunch! I loved that our server gave an honest recommendation to just order 1/2 of the pancakes and French toast for the kids. We really appreciated that. Food was incredible and enjoyed every bite. We were seated right away for a visit in early May.
As the week winded down and my friends dwindled, outings diminished. The last of my friends to leave before I headed out brought me here as it was a favorite of theirs. I was along for the ride and happy to try whatever out. Upon entry, be careful and watch your step, you need to step down. This place can be quite busy, when you approach the counter it all depends on whether they have a table ready or not. Or you could order to go and wait, or just get yourself a coffee and grab a free seat to enjoy. Dining in house feels like you are in a warm, welcoming dining room. Waiting for the food to be prepared. With it being busy our server stopped by really quickly to give us menus, take our drink order, and to tell us she would be back shortly to get our orders. Usually in a place like this I would just go with a water or sweet tea, however, I was urged to try one of their juices. I looked over that section of the menu quickly and decided on the Beauty Balm. To me it sounded like the tastiness on the menu. Strawberries, raspberries, carrot, and orange. This is to be full of vitamins A, C, and E with help with healthy skin, hair and nails. I have no idea it that is true, but it tasted quite good and I made sure that I didn't down this before I had a chance to try the food. Speaking of food, I went with American Breakfast. With this meal you get your choice on two eggs of any style, choice of meal (bacon, thick cut bacon, turkey bacon, sausage links, ham, vegan sausage, or sliced avocado), sweet potato hash, and toast. For mine, I went with dippy eggs (that's sunny side up for those that don't know), and bacon for my choices. However, I believe the day I was here they were out of the sweet potato hash, so I ended up getting red potatoes, which I wasn't going to complain about. After some tasting, adding of salt and pepper, I started to dive in. With the toast buttered I broke those yolks. It didn't matter what combination of food you did, the taste combinations were almost endless. I didn't consume all the toast at once, I made sure to keep some so that I could make sure none of that yolk would go to waste. This was a very satisfying meal and could get me on the breakfast bandwagon, but I'm just not a morning person. You really got to get me about mid afternoon...so more of a brunch person.
Easily the best place in Lewes for breakfast. Just off the main drag it is easy to find and it is well worth a visit. The place is open and friendly and manages to be warm and friendly while decorated with a collection of mix and matched style. Like you've wandered into a friendly home form the 1960's. The food is a wonderful mix of breakfast basics and stylized elements. There are vegan and vegetarian options but they also do meat dishes. The effect is a feeling of being welcome regardless of how you feel. Price for a breakfast or lunch runs about $15. Part of me wants to have open comparisons to some of the other places in town for breakfast but that would seem to be against the pleasant vibe Nectar gives off. Suffice it to say his is a great place to start you day.
This place is horrible. We arrived around 11 on a Sunday and the place was packed. We were able to sit at the juice bar which was good. The two guys behind the juice bar didn't acknowledge us until I had to ask them if we could order drinks. The one guy seemed annoyed as if I was bothering him. Didn't get any water for about 15 minutes. they didn't clean the counter from the last customers, so we were sitting at a dirty counter. No one cared. Drinks took 30 minutes. Had to ask them twice where our bloody Mary's were? The one guy mumbled something about waiting for the shrimp and bacon from the kitchen. Why should this take 25 minutes?. No communication from anyone. total disaster. Don't waste your money. Eggs Benedict and American breakfast were underwhelming and mediocre. Stay far away from this place. This place used to be good a few years ago. Sad.
I've been here a few times and they never disappoint. The food is very good (far classier than a greasy spoon). There are healthy options and less healthy ones if you just want to satisfy your sweet tooth. Staff are friendly and helpful. The place is usually busy but has a welcoming atmosphere. Celiac disease and eating gluten free can be challenging, but here they make it easy. Just ask staff if you have any dietary questions regarding the menu.
What a gem! Food and drinks were great quality and generous portions. I enjoyed the vitamin C juice, and citrus salmon salad. So fresh and tasty. My husband was pleasantly surprised by the quality of his burger and fresh squeezed OJ. Service was friendly and efficient I have walked by Nectar's a few times and from the outside, you have no sense of how open and inviting the space is--it goes back :)
We were excited to try this place but the service was a bit slow and the younger waitresses and busboys were less attentive and aware than I'd like them to be. For instance our food came before our drinks and the busboy was carrying a chair to put at the end of another table and knocked our booth somewhat hard and startled us. Bfast was ok I was not super impressed with the pancakes. I also ordered an iced chai latte and it was very weak and watered down. The saving grace, for me for this place was the juice bar. You can make your own juices as well as I was impressed with their menu of available juices. I would like to return to try more items on the breakfast menu as well as the juices. The brioche French toast my grandmother had was very good. Good spot for a family breakfast or lunch:)
I really like Nectar, but today they missed the mark. I decided to order something I never had and instantly regretted it. I ordered an egg salad and bacon sandwich- easy enough. The issue is when I took my first bite I tasted capers...... I am not a fan. Had they simply said in the menu that there were capers in the egg salad I never would have ordered it. There was also way too much in the sandwich- when I finished there was more on the plate than I ate. It was impossible to take the capers out. It was loaded. No one checked in on us, offered a refill on water, or asked if everything was ok. Overall we also had a very long wait for simple sandwiches-- not the best experience at a place I usually really like.
Very mom/baby friendly and GREAT gluten free menu items! I was THRILLED to me able to have Eggs Benny after a hot walk with some mom friends. They were wonderful to us all, helping each of us with our strollers, and setting us up with a table that worked for both high chairs and strollers. It is beautifully decorated, the food and drinks are delicious and the service was phenomenal. I'll be back! read more

I was in need of a nutritious drink whilst in Lewes on a magnificent, summery day in early Octoner and decided upon the Nectar Cafe. My selection was a Smarty Pants with extra whey protein and a shot of ginger which cost $15. I was promptly waited upon and was served within 7-10 minutes. The drink was tasty, nutritious, and satisfying. I've not eaten indoors l, however shall post a review when I do! read more

What a great find! My wife and I wanted to have lunch after a long drive and walk around Lewes. We found Nectar just in time. We did not want anything to filling, so we shared a chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato chips and a protein juice was large enough for 2 people. The sandwich tasted great! Service was great and the atmosphere was nice. It also looks like a great place to go to for brunch as well read more

Another great find in Lewes DE that I think is worth the drive from the other beach cities to experience. The first time I came here yearssss ago, I had one of their famous bloody Mary's that was packed with bacon, shrimp and other goodies - an entire meal in itself. No photo this time around but highly recommend trying at least one. The decor is cozy and inviting, much like their mother's restaurant Station on Kings, or vice versa as this place came first. The service is quick and the staff very accommodating. And the food is great too. No matcha here, but if you're a coffee drinker, you're in luck. @Nectar, can you offer matcha too? We had a lovely breakfast here on our last day in town and really enjoyed our experience. I can't wait to come back during my next Lewes visit. read more
It's ok, but the food quality is inconsistent. We ordered brunch from here via Caviar. I had the spinach lavender omelette with some blueberry pancakes. I though the omelette was very good, and the lavender a subtle but tasty addition that complemented the goat cheese well. The pancakes were not good, however. Essentially, they were overcooked, which had them dark brown on the outside and dry on the inside, as opposed to fluffy. There was nothing included for them in terms of syrup or butter or anything else. The bacon was also slightly overcooked, though the sweet potato hash I found was undercooked. The juices, however, were good. I don't regret ordering because of the omelette, but I wouldn't do it again. read more

Healthy and delicious with great service. Stopped in to see what their juice bar offerings were and decided to get a table and order breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious, we ate all of it because it was that good. You can tell the staff enjoy working there and appreciated that we were greeted promptly when we entered the restaurant. We ordered the Morning After juice, veggie omelette and blueberry pancakes with homemade blueberry maple syrup. We were pleased with everything we ordered. We will be back next time when we're in Lewes! read more

Husband and I love the juices here! The food is usually good as well! The only thing I strongly dislike is their seating- it's very close together and if you're in the back it basically feels like you're eating with the strangers next to you. Service is always great read more

Came here for Sunday brunch with the girls :) staff was friendly and we got there pretty early so there was no wait. We sat down and I couldn't help but notice how cute it was inside :) We all got fresh juice mimosas: pineapple, cantelope and strawberry. All were delicious but wish we could get more in our glasses! My friend is vegan and she loved that this place served vegan options and booze haha. I got the steak and eggs. Delicious steak cooked a perfect medium rare. Wish there was a touch more seasoning but overall the meal was great! It came with eggs cooked whatever style you want and sweet potato hash. I do love sweet potatoes but I feel like for breakfast they should also have a regular potato option. Overall a very delicious and filling brunch :) would love to come back and eat lunch one day! read more

Great little coffee shop, if you drive too fast you'll miss it. They have an array of breakfast and lunch options. They have a old hometown feel with modern amenities like Apple Pay. I had the pumpkin latte And the Spanish omelet and they both were delicious. Service was quick and slow at the same time, My food came out before my coffee did. All around good place I would recommend raising my mirror in the bathrooms, they are extremely low. read more

A great little quirky spot in Lewes! I came here for brunch and was not disappointed. We were seated in a little nook area in one corner of the restaurant. We ordered 5 juices for the table - which we all loved (though a bit pricey IMO). I ordered a vegetarian sandwich with mushrooms that was really filling, despite not having a meat protein. The sweet potato chips were also some of the best I've ever had. The other people at my table gave good feedback about their bean burger, grilled cheese with sweet potato hash, and salad tester. I'm taking a star off the review just because the one woman behind the juice bar making the juices / smoothies was a bit unfriendly to us and talking very loudly - we were in the opposite corner of the restaurant and could hear her almost yelling to (at?) other guests. Not quite sure what that was about. read more
