I was honestly blown away by the salted pistachio latte, it was the highlight of my visit!. The bakery items were also quite good and paired perfectly with the drinks. The entire menu looks delicious, and I already have my eye on a few other items to try next time. The environment is very nice, clean, and has a great vibe. To top it off, the service was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Wonderful brunch!…read more Stopped in on my birthday for brunch and had a lovely experience. We had the Pistachio Honey Latte, Shakshuka, beef soup, salmon toast and maple veggies. As a Shakshuka lover who has spent time in Israel I am quite picky about my Shakshuka but I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised by this one and enjoyed every bite! The beef soup was a bit bland unfortunately but the salmon toast has copious amounts of salmon and was delicious. The maple veggies were also wonderful. The pistachio honey latte was perfectly balanced not being overly sweet. Service was nothing to note as you seat yourself and get your own food here but staff was nice. Ambiance was alright, we had to sit out in the patio area which while heated was a less than desirable location to eat but it wasn't bad. Overall we truly enjoyed our time at The Station and will be back without a doubt.

The board and the house made stracciatella apps followed by the house made black farfalle, then the banana peanut butter and the pumpkin butter cake. I asked the waiter how they don't have a Michelin Star. He said "I don't think we are in the right market for that" . Moving here from LA recently and enjoying my fair share of Michelin restaurants in my time, I'm 100% certain, if it were in any big city they would 100% have a star (or 2). Do not think twice about going here l. Don't worry about the price, it's worth it and hey, it's DE and no sales tax (I still can't get used to that). Well done everyone who works here. The service was also spot on.

We were greeted by a great waiter who went through the menu options and the drinks. The space itself was very lively and on the louder side. We started with an extra dirty martini and old-fashioned. The old-fashioned had unique ingredients, including a banana Liquor. This addition made it more on the sweet side than I would've preferred but nonetheless booze forward and good. We started with two appetizers, including the rabbit pierogi and the house pulled Burata cheese. The pierogies were cooked perfectly and tasted very good. They didn't have a game flavor and they came with a very light cream sauce. The Burata cheese was also soft and creamy and came with a house made jam. For entrées, we had the rockfish which was a nice light, white fish, smaller portion over a tomato broth. The fish was cooked perfectly and not dry. We also opted for the flank steak. This came to the table pre-sliced and was also cooked perfectly. They do have dessert options however we were so full from dinner. We were unable to have dessert. All in all, it was a great spot for a good meal. This spot is more on the expensive side and for a special occasion that has a romantic feel. The parking is on street only and that can be dicey depending on what time of day you come and how busy Lewes is.

Once I saw shrimp and grits on the menu, I immediately zeroed in on that. I love shrimp and grits going back to my Winchester days. Succulent shrimp, cheesy grits, and a nice porky meat to give it extra character. Here they use chorizo. But ham or bacon are good options as well. I also like that they give you eight big pieces of shrimp. Not like other restaurants that only give you two or four prawns and call it a day. The crab bisque is good too. A tasty soup that works well this time of year. Even though it was cold the first go around, the second one tasted hot and fresh. Of course it would taste good. The Delmarva region is abundant in crabs. Just as I would expect a clam chowder to taste great in New England or Manhattan. One thing to nitpick, it should come with oyster crackers, not saltines. They work better when it comes to a bisque or a chowder. Besides that, I have little to complain about.

Located in the quaint downtown, Striper Bites pays homage to Lewes' history as a former Dutch whaling and port city with nautical themed decor. Large wooden barrels, ship steering wheels, mounted fish and nets adorn the walls and accent the dark wooden furniture and color palette. There is a diverse menu, but when I'm in town with friends and family...I keep it simple. I'll usually start with one of the many beers on draft; check the chalkboard for what's on tap from the ever changing selection. The crab dip is an AMAZING appetizer. Chunks of crab meat are mixed in with cheese, given a quick bake, and served with buttered toast points. Great for sharing. You can also ask for additional pieces of bread (which I usually do) to sop up any residual dip. The bistro burger is nothing fancy...but everything a good pub style burger should be. A well seasoned angus beef patty is grilled is topped with aged white cheddar, bacon jam, house sauce, arugula, and nestled in a briche bun. The side of fries are also nice and crispy. Honestly, I've had the fish and chips, the fried shrimp, and other seafood dishes, and no suprise, it's all good. Service is always friendly, but not always as "prompt" when it gets busy - which in the summer during the high tourist season - but that's to be understood. Every town needs a neighborhood gathering spot like Striper Bites.

We arrived around 11:30 and got seated immediately and there were a few open tables still left so a good time to go. I would say the greeter was not super friendly and it took a good 10 plus minutes for someone to come to the table. A waitress that noticed that we had not been helped for awhile caught my eye as I was looking for our server stopped by and took our drink order and apologized for the wait and shared that most servers were just coming on duty. So that was the only negatives I have for our lunch. The restaurant is not super large but it is very cute. Has a lot of cute decorations and a good feel, although I am not a big fan of plastic over the seat coverings but I understand it makes it easier to keep it clean. I ordered a western omelette (don't forget to tell them to add cheese or you don't get any) and potatoes and a biscuit. Also had a glass of the fresh squeezed OJ and it was perfect. The food was excellent and the portion size was good, my only comment was that the biscuit could have been a bit more cooked but the taste was divine. My husband had the reuben and fries and his was very good also. The cost was a little over $50 so not somewhere I would go daily for breakfast but it is located in the tourist area so to be expected. I would recommend a visit for a great meal and I am looking forward to going again and trying some pancakes or French toast. Enjoy!

Came here only because I was under the impression this place loves dogs and great place to take…read moreyour dogs. When our party arrived, we sat in a place that would be good with the dogs, because their was another dog near the entrance. My friend had asked for a high chair and the high chair arrived beyond disgusting. We were all grossed out by the state of the high chair and our table - no one wiped it clean or did anything. I helped and cleaned it for my friend and the picture that I posted is after the fact it's been wiped. Please imagine how bad it was before I wiped it with 4 sanitizing wipes. The waitress, Becky came over and asked if we're ready to order, meanwhile she saw our entire party wiping the tables and high chair and never once offered to clean it. She didn't even understand that we haven't looked at the menu because we're too busy doing the restaurant's job to offer a clean environment to eat and dine. She seemed annoyed that we weren't ready and left and turns out the other dog was her daughter's and they were there hanging out. She, of course seemed more cheerful there, then she was with our party that just sat. We haven't done anything to annoy her besides just arriving. The restaurant did provide water bowls for the dogs, but no one really seemed to be happy to see dogs being there, so not sure why this place would be a great place to take dogs. I just really thought all the staff here would all love dogs. I didn't taste the smashburger, but it was flagged that it wasn't a true smashburger, since there wasn't any crispiness or thinness. It was just a regular burger. I got the mussels daily flavour that was "Thai" - decent, but a lot of the mussels came closed and not sure why it would be "Thai" when they used jalapenos as their heat. Shrimp Basket - not great. Very disappointing experience - wished I didn't pick this place and wasted a meal here for the sake of wanting to bring my dogs to a place where I thought would be a great place for them.
