Checked this place out today and it was so good! Plenty of parking, central location right on 1. The service was great! It was our first time there and they took the time to explain everything and make it super easy for us to order. I created my own small bowl and also got a smoothie and my total was 24.00 which is a bit pricey but the food was tasty and healthy so I didn't mind splurging. I got the banana nut smoothie and it had chunky pieces of nuts in it which were so good. Also because of my blood sugar I stay away from added sugars and I was happy to learn that they don't use any added sugars in their smoothies. Will definitely be back! read more

Delicious healthy food, so glad I found a healthy spot with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options in Rehoboth. So good I came back the next day! The service is stellar and right at closing as they were putting away all of the ingredients, the staff (both guys) kindly let me in and quickly order. They were patient and kind. Most establishments would have turned me away, and I gave the repeat business the next day (I came in earlier!) I really enjoyed the Lemon glass Noodles bursting with flavor and the Scrambled Falafel, Curried Cauliflower along with the BBQ Tofu (albeit there were some burnt tofu pieces that were sitting too long under the burner). The Ponzu Glass Noodles were a bit greasy. The Red Pepper Hummus dressing paired well with the meal. This place is worth the U-turn you'll most likely need to make on busy Rte. 1! My family has been coming here for a few years during trips to Rehobeth Beach and I finally got to experience it for myself. There's a wide variety of different rice/noodle/greens as bases, both plant-based and seafood or poultry based proteins, and a tasty assortment of different seasoned vegetables, sauces, and toppings. Upon entering, staff was very welcoming, the music is at a great level to not have to shout or speak too loudly at your table or while ordering. My friend and I both created our bowls with the "A Bowl Your Way" option, and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about what flavors complemented each other and even offered the best sauce for our bowls based on what we put in them. I did the regular sized A Bowl Your Way with Japanese Kale, Tri-color Quinoa, Balsamic Mushrooms, Garlic Broccoli, Basil Tomatoes, Thai Cucumbers, Coconut Curry Bean Stew, Sunflower Seeds, and Chimichurri Sauce. Healthy and delicious! Whenever I order from Seedbol, I am always impressed with the variety and unique flavor combinations. I also love the opportunity to customize my order with so many choices. When we stopped by earlier this week for lunch, my mom ordered the Flavors of Asia bowl of soup. She said the vegetable broth was flavorful and the tofu and veggies were hearty. Who would have thought she'd feel so sated after some soup? In fact, she couldn't finish the entire bowl and took some home for later. I ordered the Skinny Bowl with scrambled falafel, veggies, and garlic red pepper dressing. The falafel was nutty, earthy and had a delicious blend of herbs. The dressing was the perfect complement to the palate. When my other family members learned we were lunching at Seedbol, we received several to go orders. Needless to say, take home (soup and a skinny bowl with spiced sweet potatoes and chicken added) was devoured in minutes with accolades. I especially like Seedbol's transparency on calories for each meal component which makes participating in WW and other calorie counting plans easy! No guessing needed. Two young men served us and both were friendly and patient as we mulled over the plethora choices. The restaurant was clean and we felt comfortable dining in and taking out. The only drawback to this specialty store is cost. It would be fabulous for many to taste the deliciousness of a non-processed and healthy meal. But a $15.00 salad may be too costly for a family with limited means. It's a bowl place. You know where there are steps in the process and you make choices according to your place along the proces. I'm not a huge fan of this kind of assembly line before your very eyes food operation but I tolerate it by ordering a item already listed with its ingredients; it's a personal tick of mine and does not impact how great this place is. My wife had a small bowl with spinach and rice as the base, hemp chicken salad with tomatoes and cucumbers with a their champagne based vinaigrette. She really loved it. I had the "Vegan Samurai" which has a Japanese kale and quinoa (keen-wah); pineapple, broccoli and tofu chunks, cucumber and red cabbage shredded with a sweet mango habanero sauce. Sprinkled atop were sesame seeds. Overall great, but I might go with something other than kale whose texture over time gets to be a little much. I was traveling with teenagers who like fast food, but I wanted something different. I found SEED and decided to give it a try. Note: I'm allergic to eggs and diary. It was great to find a place where EVERYTHING is dairy-free and egg-free. That meant, I could try whatever I wanted and not worry. Since it was my first time, I decided to custom design a large bowl. I started with the ponzu glass noodles (tasty) and the quinoa. My vegetables were the turmeric cauliflower (cooked perfectly) and the balsamic mushrooms (so tasty). I opted for the chicken salad (I loved it). I topped it with cilantro purple cabbage and the Thai cucumbers (wish they were spicier). Finally, a sprinkle of ground flax and some sesame seeds. I chose the garlic red pepper sauce (so good, not sure I'll want to try the other ones). It was fabulous. Everything added a unique flavor profile to the dish and you could mix and combine to your liking. Definitely more expensive than other options, but everything was fresh and savory and flavorful. The large size left me full but not stuffed. It was actually faster for me to walk in, get a custom bowl and leave, than it took us to sit in the line at a fast food joint just before coming here. The custom bowls we made were so delicious and healthy, and best of all, they're extremely reasonably priced for good quality healthy food (especially in this economy ). They do a healthy hour Monday to Saturday from 3-5 PM, where they take $2 off all regular sized bowls, so you're essentially getting a regular bowl for the price of a small bowl.
