I went here for lunch with about 25 ladies and it was excellent. We had tables by the windows and it is a lovely restaurant. We had one server but he did an excellent job. The food was fresh and delicious. Everyone liked their meals. I will say it is a bit pricey but most places in Rehoboth seemed to high. But on the plus side they gave us a free dessert. Came in during the gumbo crawl. Decided to sit at bar and have some drinks. Didn't order food. Ordered a cucumber margarita, spicy jalapeno margarita, grand margarita, and a grapefruit Paloma. We love Mariachis. They take reservations and parking and a lovely rooftop patio. The place is happily decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is great. We love the shrimp fajitas with huge butterflied shrimp, salmon Pacifico with a large portion of salmon filet in a lemon caper sauce, the tongue, and delicious guacamole. I expected some loud beach bar restaurant atmosphere, but I was so wrong. Mariachi is an upscale Mexican restaurant with even some Peruvian dishes. Our table of four were all pleased with their freshly crafted meals from steak fajitas to slow cooked orange infused pork. We all had drinks and were pleased by their delicious taste. The upstairs has a festive, barbie, chill vibe with smble seating. It can be hot in the summer as it's a covered outdoor space with fans. The downstairs is smaller with a more upscale, clean fresh look. I got the who fried snapper (smaller than average) with the Yucca fries and salad. Popped in for an afternoon snack. Had two frozen margaritas each which hit the spot on a sweltering hot day: the sangria rita and the fruity rita (strawberry). Had two orders of the chips and salsa (the salsa was really flavorful and fresh), a Margarita Salad which came with some sort of surprisingly good honey mustard dressing, the churros, which my GF housed, and the white fish ceviche. We both agreed we'd come back just for the ceviche. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. We arrived at about 5.15pm on a Wednesday and it wasn't terribly busy but crowds of people started pouring in about 20 minutes after we arrived. Got a little loud but that's not unexpected with the amount of people that came in. Haven't been to any other Mexican places in Rehoboth Beach but this place was pretty damn good. This is one of our regular stops when we are in Rehobeth for our annual vacation. We love the chips and salsa and always add on an order of guacamole. My favorite is a picture of sangria, which is typically a white sangria. The service is quick and attentive. The noise level is low. We enjoy sitting on the upper patio for a nice view and some fresh air when possible. The seafood enchiladas are always a hit with fresh shrimp and scallops and a light cream sauce. My dad ordered the salmon with rice and said it was one of his favorite meals of the week. I got a mariachi salad which was fresh and full flavor. It's a Latin restaurant that covers the full spectrum of Latin cuisine from Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Peru, and across Latin and South America. Complimentary chips and salsa started us off, and then it was time to make a tough decision about our entrees. We decided on Seafood Enchiladas ($27) - "Two flour tortillas stuffed with shrimp and scallops topped with avocado and seafood sauce", and Mariscos Saltados ($27) - "Shrimp, scallops, mussels and squid sautéed with cilantro, jalapeño, tomatoes and onions in a Peruvian sauce, served with rice and black beans". My Mariscos was one of the best dinners I've had this year. It was a seafood stir fry loaded with seafood, and that sauce was great. I would have been happy just with that sauce in a big bowl of rice. Gotta give a shout out to our server, Jaime. It looked like he was the only one taking orders, so he was hustling around the dining room all night long. But he was always cheerful, helpful, and very professional. This was such a terrific place we accidentally ended up having a team dinner at! We walked in off the streets at 6:00 on a Saturday night. It was with low expectations we expected any restaurant to accommodate our large party without notice, but we were so lucky! We walked in and they had two large party tables open on the second floor. It turned out to be an unexpectedly fantastic dinner experience. The servers were amazing, the food was delicious, and the margaritas were impressive. I will only offer to go to restaurants that I think she will consider 'authentic' Mexican food and she approved of the food here. I can't remember what she had, but she enjoyed her meal. Finally a Mexican restaurant that serves hard shell tacos! I've died and gone taco heaven. What a great authentic Mexican joint in the heart of Rehoboth. They have a small private parking lot for convenience. Now for the amazing Tacos. I tried the beef and chicken. The beef was loaded with shredded chunks. Not the ground beef kind. These were meaty and delicious! Same with chicken nice long pieces and seasoned perfectly. The sides were great too! Beans, rice, lettuce pico and sour cream. The drink menu is the star of this Mexican restaurant. There are so many margaritas, caipirinhas, etc. to pick from (and in an assortment of flavors. I loved the Italian margarita- it was so delicious and different- and the passion fruit caipirinha was delicious too! If you're going for drinks, five stars. Our server recommended the ones with fresh lime juice which we thought was a good choice but he should have told us there was a $10 upcharge per pitcher. There is ample seating and its good for large parties. The service was average. The food was flavorful. The fajitas were super delicious. Especially the steak fajita. I also enjoyed the chicken soup as it had big chunks of chicken and veggies. The down sides were the bathrooms that had a broken lock and the floor is very slippery to the point that we almost fell multiple times. The sign isn't enough. Roughly a block away from the boardwalk you will find a slice of Mexican heaven. You will walk into a welcoming restaurant that serves some of the best, most authentic, Mexican food I have had in a hot minute. Before entering, I scoped out the menu posted up outside to see if there would be anything I liked. Of course there was, I Just wanted to make it streamlined for when I sat down at the table for me to get my food. I went inside and was immediately greeted at the host stand and shown to a table upstairs. It appeared that they weren't using the downstairs just yet at that point in the day. It was fairly early, pre lunch maybe. I was seated and greeted by my server and placed a drink order. I pretended to look over the menu to make it look like I was taking my time, but I was done with that charade by the time my drink, along with chips and salsa, showed up at the table. Without missing a beat my server was ready to take my order. I went with the burrito platter, chicken variety. While my server put in my order, I dove into the chips and salsa. This salsa had the right amount of heat to it that it wasn't overpowering and the chips were fresh, lightly salted. Pleasantly surprised was an understatement. Then the star of the meal, the burrito, showed up. This well stuffed burrito came with rice, beans, pico, and sour cream. The burrito itself is covered with a sauce and cheese. I will say that this thing was messy to eat, but all that couldn't be scooped up in a bite was able to make a nice little Mexican salad at the end of the meal. Like every meal that I have at a Mexican restaurant, I cleaned my plate. It was amazing, and I would make this a stop if I visit again. read more

Another great night at Mariachi, another NYE early dinner before a party. The place was packed, but we reserved and of course Yolanda seated us right away. A few drink, a skinny margarita ( yum ) a mango mojito and a basic Cuba Libra. I ordered the carne asada, it was among the best I've ever had. Our friend ordered the snapper special, delish, and my husband the seafood enchiladas. All was perfect, absolutely delicious, hot and fresh and perfect. Mariachi earns our business every time we go there. There is a reason they are so busy, the Mexican, Peruvian, South American is so creative, and the staff is consistent. Came here for a recent family dinner outing...super busy but the wait staff was able to pretty quickly accommodate us at a table. We settled in with a pitcher of margaritas while we munched on chips, salsa and white cheese dip. Someone at the table ordered a small dinner salad, which was pretty basic in its presentation and veggie make-up. I ordered an enchiladas platter served with yellow rice and beans, was on the blander side of the flavor spectrum to my dismay. Came for a birthday party. Our group was a party of 11, the staff were very accommodating (we called ahead to make a reservation). We were seated on the top floor which was a balcony with a gorgeous view of Dewey. However, it was incredibly hot outside and the balcony did not have much ways of cooling which was disappointing. I ordered the combination fajitas which were good and filling! Had a sangria margarita which was a nice cooling down drink. For dessert I had the mudslide cocktail which I will say was almost un drinkable unfortunately. My waiter did tell me it was not an espresso martini which I was aware of, however, it had such a strong taste of vodka, almost as if I had a vodka chocolate milk. A great mexican restaurant in Rehoboth when you want a break from seafood. Mariachi feels authentic and a little more upscale. I love the ambiance on the rooftop patio. The house Marg was pretty tasty and I enjoyed my chimichanga dinner. The rice and beans were so fresh and homemade. A cute restaurant near the Rehoboth boardwalk. Had dinner here with friends on our beach trip. The upstairs patio is great on a nice day. If you are interested in sitting on the upstairs patio, I recommend making a reservation in advance and requesting a table there. Our group enjoyed sharing the margarita pitcher. The food we had was average. The meat in the Poc Chuc Yucateco was overcooked and a little bland. I thought the dish needed something more to bring all of the separate components together. The Lomo Saltado had a hearty flavor but I would have liked to see a higher ratio of meat to vegetables, and the rice could have been fresher. read more
