    Mac and Cheese Kids MEAL
    Natalie D.

We've been eating at Baja every summer since 2020. We often go multiple times a week. Today they ripped us off and said "it's a beach town." My kids usually get chicken finger meals (see the size comparison pic). Today my daughter wanted the Kraft Mac and cheese meal. Now we get any time you get Kraft mac at a restaurant you're overpaying. But what she got was a side serving equivalent tiny cup. 180 calories of Mac and cheese. I went back to the counter because surely they were writing this off as a meal. But yes, yes they were. The woman's response was "this is a beach town." I get that. But then call it a side. Not a kid's meal. We had to go get additional food for our daughter. Irritated by the rip-off. Annoyed by the verbal write-off.

The absolute best in Bethany! I don't leave reviews. But this is the exception. I stumbled upon this place years ago and thank goodness I did! Fresh ingredients in the food and the drinks are amazing and you won't find them elsewhere. Do you want a real drink that isn't watered down and has real fruit squeezed fresh! This is your place. I live in Virginia and make day trips to Baja for their OUTSTANDING food and drinks. This place has the perfect beach vibe. Do yourself a favor and give it a try, you won't be disappointed! The staff are amazing and friendly , very customer focused. Rick, the owner is a great guy, very personable, he really takes great care of his customers. Okay if you pass it up it's your loss! Don't make that mistake! ~ Don M.

We absolutely LOVE this place and are so excited for many visits in the summer of 2025! Today we tried the nachos with grilled steak - we usually get the tacos because they are so good. We were pleasantly surprised and will order them again!!!! We also enjoyed the watermelon jalapeño margarita and frozen peach margarita. Perfection!

The crispy cod taco and the pineapple crush were sooooooo good!!! Chilled out, fast food type place with various alcohol drink options in terms of flavors.

The walk up crush sign is misleading. They made us stand in the long food line for drinks. Two stars bc drinks were good

Love Baja!!! Great beach takeout place with deals on fresh crushes! My friends and did the 4 for $40 XL 32 ounce crushes but they have deals for smaller sizes as well. Def recommend grabbing takeout and then eating/drinking up on the beach for the vibes. Been going here for past 5 summers and consistently get great food and drinks! Service is always fairly fast. Only negative is that prices are pretty expensive

This place is worth it for the view alone. Go at sunset and enjoy the sky. You can see the ocean and the bridge from the dining areas. Order a crush and you're set. The food was good too and the staff was attentive and helpful. They have areas for hanging out in hammocks, yard games for kids and several bar areas. They also have a gift shop.

We only had drinks but their 4 for $40 large crushes and margaritas were spot on. Freshly squeezed fruit juice combined with just the right amount of mixers made for a relaxing afternoon at the beach.

After a long walk on the beach, we wanted to have a refreshing drink and lunch. We came up on the Baja Beach House Grill, which had drink specials and the type of food we wanted. The sitting area was perfect outside with fans that made the bugs stay away. I made a bourbon grapefruit crush from the drink special, and it was yummy! We ordered the nacho salad that was enough for two people, which was delicious. This is definitely our go-to place for the beach!

I give Baja a 3.4/5 stars We were itching for an air conditioned place for lunch by the boardwalk and this place did just that. Covered us from the sun a bit. The inside has that new restaurant feel which is nice. I got the cheeseburger, I thought it was good, fresh ingredients, but didn't knock my socks off either. I supposed I would get the tacos next time if I came but they were upwards of $20 for three which seems a bit unreasonable. The staff was friendly and seemed enthusiastic about the place which was awesome. But they did not offer cups of water - only bottled water which was $3 and seemed a bit much. All in all a good lunch spot.

Rip-off. They wanted 14-15$ for a bowl and there was very little in it. That was even for a veggie bowl. I would not recommend this place.

We also totally lucked out without having a reservation and got two seats at the bar. The hostess was super nice and gave us plenty of time before a reservation was due at 7pm. Shout out to the two, super-awesome bartenders who made our dinner even more enjoyable. For a small restaurant, it seemed like they made 1000 drinks while we had dinner! I wish my phone didn't die and I would have had more pictures. But I'll tell you that the food here is amazing and you can see they really put a lot of work and care into every single ingredient. My husband even noticed the micro cilantro in the carrot tahini hummus! The ingredients are all busting with flavors. I had the swordfish, which was brown butter basted and very tasty and prepared with caramelized baby turnips & fennel- so good! My husband even noticed enjoyed his caesar and steak salad and we both ate every last drop. While we were kinda in the heat of everything.. busy bar and right next to the kitchen, the energy in the restaurant was amazing and you could tell the whole restaurant was working hard for the busy holiday crowd. I'm grateful we got those two seats at the bar. 14 Global is a wonderful restaurant with a scrumptious and ecletic coastal cuisine. Next time I will definitely make a reservation!

I will summarize my three most recent visits in March during the off season on Friday's at 4 PM. We arrived at 3:50 PM prior to their open at 4 PM. Already two people were online. We waited in my Audi waiting for other customers to arrive. Other vehicles arrived around 3:55 PM so we exited my Audi to get in line behind the other two customers. When they opened at 4 PM we secured our favorite table for 4 to the left of the entrance. We were happy that Mike from his former Catch 54 served our table. We first met Mike here at Bluecoast back in 2021. Also Kelly from her former Off The Hook also stopped by to say hello. We enjoyed our dozen Chunu Virginia oysters. I also enjoyed my usual tuna poke for $15 with white rice, carrots, pineapple and jalapeno peppers. I ended my meal with a pineapple martini for $8. We returned here for our second visit with our friends. Since there were five of us we sat in their second booth on the right. Again Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita with salted rim for $9. Kelly delivered our dozen of the Chunu Virginia oysters for $12 to also say hello. I also enjoyed my two pineapple martinis for $8 each. I also enjoyed my tuna and salmon poke for $16. We also shared a bottle of Trefethen chardonnay for $58 with the Friday 1/2 price wine reduced down to $29. My total bill was reduced down from $143 to $114. Lindsay S. served us very well as usual. We returned for our third visit on Friday. We sat at the table to the left of the entrance. Kelly and Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita for $8 and ended with my pineapple martini also for $8. Again, I enjoyed my dozen Chunu Virginia oysters and my poke. Alexis D. served us very well. Customer service and friendship are most important. We will continue to return here for the off season happy hour.

Went to Bethany for their brunch…read more So the place is really nice and they tried to really put on a nice event. The service was very good and it was such a nice morning. For me the selection was kind of awkward. 1) they only had eggs Benedict to go with their breakfast selections of sausage, bacon , breakfast potatoes, and French toast. *** You need an omelette station or at least scrambled eggs. The egg had no flavor and the English muffins weren't toasted**** 2) the lunch selections were a mixed bag. The Mac & Cheese was a hit. They had a seafood rice dish that we thought was Jambalaya. But actually it was a tomato sauce based over a rice pilaf (kinda like Riceroni. 3) they had fresh seafood... shrimp cocktail, mussels, clams, and oysters. The shrimp were overcooked but still okay and the oysters were good but for some reason weren't shucked. So you had to scrape them of with the fork. The cost was $60 per person and my wife had a couple pear margaritas that were a whopping $14.00 each for a tumbler. So it was a nice day, a nice place, but it's just not worth the price tag. The other Easter brunch spots were booked solid. This place was about 1/2 full most of the time we were there between 11 and 1

We chose the six bar stools around the corner of the bar.The padded bar stools with backs were very comfortable for our women. The bar is mostly made of dark wood so it is a little dark in appearance, which is fine for me, but some of our women were not as happy with the darkness. I started with and enjoyed my Purple Rain with aged rum, berry puree, lime and ginger beer for $10. After that I enjoyed my Blushing Basil, vodka, basil simple, strawberry puree and prosecco also for $10. I enjoyed both cocktails equally. I shared and enjoyed three roasted chicken wings in Buffalo orange sauce, pickled vegetables, jalapenos and blue cheese for $12. I prefer blue cheese over ranch. My chicken wings were very moist, which I prefer. My chicken wings were mildly spicy from the jalapenos. I also enjoyed my happy hour seafood paella with chorizo, shrimp, baby scallops, rice in a fresh tomato saffron broth for $22. I ended my dinner with my favorite pint of draft Guinness, which was $2 off or only $5. My total bill was $95 excluding gratuity. Bartender Skylar R. served all of us very well considering we were not regular customers, but first timers to visit. I will return here again for happy hour.
