Someone hyped this place up to me as an awesome hotdog stand/bar, and I didn't believe them. What an idiot. This place absolutely rules. The food is excellent. The Chicago Dog would hold its own against the best Cook County has to offer (shoutout Portillos), and the Cheesesteak Dog is a legitimately delicious cheesesteak. The cheese fries also kill it. Awesome. The drinks are excellent too. The orange crush, dangerous. My brain did the Simpson's "I'm in danger" meme, because they are crushable and apparently quite alcoholic. Big time yum from me. The service is also great and really friendly. And even the bathroom is great; it's roughly 10x cleaner than you'd think for a combination bar and hot dog stand. Great local spot for subs and hotdogs. It's in the Fenwick village so lots of parking. The chicken cheesesteak was good but so big I could only eat half. It was a little dry as just the chicken & cheese but I got some mayo and that did the trick! The crabby fries....what more do I have to say it's crab dip on crispy fries with old bay...yum!! 3.5 stars - We've been eating at Twilley's for a few years now. I wrote a review a couple years ago, so this is an update. Hot dogs really are their specialty and where they excel ... many different choices and everything is fresh and delicious. That said, I decided to try a special Hawaiian chicken sandwich our waiter told us about. He described it as a grilled chicken breast with sliced pineapple and a coconut spread. I decided to order it, and when it came out, I was surprised it also had bacon, cheese and pickled onions. The chicken was delicious and juicy but the overall sandwich was not successful. Everything slid around and the roll fell apart before I was even halfway through, so I finished eating it with a knife and fork. Hubby had a Detroit style dog which contained chili, cheese and diced sweet onion - very good! We brought home an Ol Goat dog (a tad too much goat cheese) plus something called the cha-cha wrap for my daughter: Buffalo style chicken with pico de gallo and a side of blue cheese. That was another miss: some of the chicken was chewy & tough, you got the heat of the buffalo sauce, but none of the flavor. The predominant flavor was pico de gallo. They used to automatically serve chips with their hot dogs, but now they only come with a pickle. Chips are $3 as are french fries. We had a couple of drinks which were very good: a margarita and grapefruit crush. It's a small place with a cool vibe and nice-sized bar. There are also a few tables out back overlooking the canal. We'll definitely be back but will stick with ordering what they do best: hot dogs! read more

Good food, hectic atmosphere. Came on a Thursday night and it was packed, but we found a table outside out back. Our server Jack was friendly and answered questions. Although the hot dogs are a little pricey - they come on a big hoagie roll, not a hot dog bun, so it holds all the fillings and is a bigger sandwich. I got the Philly hot dog - which was pretty intense and came w/ chopped beef and cheez wiz. My husband got the Seattle dog which was nice to try but ultimately, we are not sure on the cream cheese ha. We also split crabby fries which were huge and we had to take some home! Looks like the hot dogs used to come with a bag of chips, but they recently started making homemade chips, so now there is no side included at all, and an upcharge for both chips or fries, which is annoying. At the time of this review, the old menu (including chips as a side) was posted online. Overall this is a fun restaurant with a big menu and lots of options - just be prepared you may have to wait on busy nights! read more

How have I not known about this lil' gem of a place?! I had one of the best hotdogs I've ever had! (They rivaled ones at Wrigley Field) Not only is the actual hotdog beefy and tasty, but the hotdog bun is insanely delicious. The chili on the chili dog had lots of flavor and the mahi mahi tacos had nice fat pieces of fish. The place isn't huge but it has a nice bar and a fun beach atmosphere. Visited Twilley's Willys on our way back to Dewey Beach from Ocean City. I got to pick the spot and since I was in the mood for a hot dog we made our way here. Twilley's is located in a small shopping plaza that is a bit of a maze to make it through. Once you are there, you have the ability to dine inside, or outside. When we first got here, we had all intentions to dine outside. We made our way through the interior to the patio/deck area and found that we would not be dining outside. In fact, we would be dining inside because everyone else that showed up before us had the same idea. Wasn't bad, we had the interior dining room to ourselves, but it wasn't great either. This is basically a seat yourself place and you go about it in a way of hopes that you will be getting service. The seating, if you seat yourself along the wall, is a bit uncomfortable. as it looks like pallets were used to design the seating. We were, at first ignored for a bit, then we had someone bring us menus and take our drink order. We were then again ignored. With a different server approaching the table asking us again about a drink order. We said that we had placed our drink order, but restated it. Drinks finally arrived and we placed out food order, we didn't want to take a risk of not being seen again for a bit. The water tasted like it came from a garden hose, but I can't complain about free water. For my food I went with Wrightsville Dog with hand cut fries. The Wrightsville is a dog topped with chili, slaw, mustard, and onions. Minus the slaw and it was a call to home for me. It made me miss being back home, and I mean home home. This thing was massive. I mean when it came out it was a mound of a hot dog. With all the toppings it was very hard to even hold. I had to cut it in two so I could tackle it. I feel like I unhinged my jaw at one point to open it wide enough to take a bite. The flavor was all there. it was amazing and downright delicious. No worries if you have little bits that fall off the dog, just used it for your fries, or an end of the meal bite. The food was satisfying, and took me back home. However, the service was less than stellar. I was a bit upset by the fact that we were forgotten. I feel if we sat outside we would have gotten better service. However, inside you have to contend with the bar. On top of that, you may have to contend with stray tomato slices as well, watch your step. read more

Tried this place today. Food was really good, the orange crush I got was not an orange crush idk if it was made wrong or what but it was not an orange crush. I still drank it but was not right. Also if you have small children who might only eat chips or fries at restaurants. I suggest asking for fries because we asked for chips for our 3 yr old and was told they don't do that since they are hand cut and cooked there. Which we were paying for it's not like we asked for free chips. Luckily another waitress told us she would get them made anyway so points for that but it was a weird interaction none the less. If you look up the definition of hidden gem in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Twilley's Willys. Nestled in the village of Fenwick, this place has some of the best hot dogs I've ever had. With that being said, I ordered the Detroit dog and fries. To engage, the Detroit dog was topped with mustard, meat sauce, cheese, and chopped onions. Knowing that, the hot dog was excellent. To explain, the hot dog was juicy, tender, and had tremendous flavor. In addition, the meat sauce was flavorful and wasn't too spicy. Moreover, the bun was wonderful and elevated the dog to a different level. To enumerate, the bun was a sub roll and it was toasted to perfection. This was simply a phenomenal hot dog. In the same light, the fries were very good as well. To put into perspective, the fries were hand cut and tasty. My Sis and I were craving a good chili dog like up in North Jersey. We read YELP reviews and decided to give it a go. We are familiar with Fenwick Village so it was easy to find. From the moment we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and seated. There are several tables inside and the bar but they also have some seating outside. Our server Rob was awesome and so friendly and helpful. He even tried getting the NY Yankees game up on the one of the TVs. Excellent service! The atmosphere was very comfortable and reminds me of a friendly neighborhood bar. I ordered the Detroit dog with the chili, shredded cheddar and raw onions. Served up in a sub roll with a split 1/4 lb. very good tasting hot dog. Before coming in I had the mindset that one may not be enough for me. LOL! It was so filling. The hand cut fries that I upgraded to were delicious as well. My only wish for a future visit would be a bit more flavor on the chili not much, just a bit. Quick and kind service. We ordered a Kansas City hot dog, crab dip fries. The dip was very thick and cream cheese prominent. I wasn't a huge fan but hubby liked it. The hotdog was wonderful and the bun very fresh. We also each got drinks. Beer for the hubs and house margarita for me. The salted rim was too heavy and I ended up with a salt slick at the bottom Of my cup. It wasn't dry good. Hubs enjoyed his beer. read more

My new husband and I came here to pick up some food before checking in for our mini honeymoon, after we had picked up food last year from here. Not sure if it's a different chef, or because it's between lunch and dinner service... but the food was poor. The staff is friendly and welcoming, even through covid. They offered us to have a seat while waiting for the food at any table. Food came out in about 15 minutes. Chili cheese fries - 1/5 EXTREMELY salty. Fries are soggy, not much cheese.... big portions though. Baltimore dog - 1/5 The crab and hot dog are both incredibly salty, and the Mac and cheese was pretty bland. Kansas City dog - 4/5 if you're a Reuben fan like me, you'll like this one. It's well balanced and tastes good. Sea bass fish tacos - 2/5 the taco itself isn't horrible. However, the main ingredient (sea bass) is barely there, and it's lacking the sauce and zest of a good lime squeeze. Chips were burnt to a crisp. Like how do you expect your customers to eat these? They obviously leave a burnt taste in your mouth. One bite and ALL the chips were in the trash. They should've made a new batch or just not serve them at all. Shows how much little they care about the customers... Prices are reasonable, however I was never given a receipt so I can't tell you how much the fish tacos were since they're "Market price". I know what you're thinking . . . Hot dogs are about the most unhealthy food on the planet. They're hazardous to small children. They're not keto or plant-based and they have enough sodium to last you at least a whole day. But hear me out: you owe it to yourself to try Twilley's Willys. It's the best possible way to eat a hot dog as an occasional treat -- or more often if you want to. No one's judging you here! We started with the chili cheese fries, and every component was perfect. The fries were on the small side and super crispy, so it was easy to pick them up and they didn't get soggy right away. The chili was spicy and salty with finely diced meat, ideal for dipping and scooping, and the creamy cheese sauce covered the whole huge plate like a cozy blanket. They serve it with cardboard boats and forks, but we just dug in with our fingers since we're family. The main event is the hot dogs, of course, and we tried two. We easily could have split one, especially after those fries, but beach vacations are not the place to count calories. I tried the Baltimore Dog: a homemade (I think?) split-top roll, somewhere between a baguette and a bun -- fluffy inside but a little chewy on the outside. The dog is split lengthwise and grilled for maximum crispyness, topped with a giant scoop of macaroni and cheese (not too gloopy, with smaller elbows that were easy to scoop back into the bun) and covered with fresh crabmeat. It was amazing. My husband's Rincon, a nod to Puerto Rico where the owner lives part-time, was layered with sauerkraut, mustard, ground beef and cheese, and topped with tiny crispy potato sticks. I tried a bite and loved it, even though I don't like sauerkraut! Crushes were the perfect drink on a hot day; we tried grapefruit and lemon, which was my surprise favorite. Draft beer would have been a good choice too. The inside is pretty loud, and we had our baby with us, so we opted to sit out on the deck, with umbrellas for shade and a beautiful view of the inlet that runs past Fenwick. After waiting 24mins for my hot dogs I asked for my sodas to be changed since they had watered down with the ice (I had not touched them). I first visited TW about 5 years ago and it left a lasting impression. I'm not a huge hotdog fan but it looked interesting. Our first experience was amazing. I had a hotdog with goat cheese. It was excellent. The second time I had "the Baltimore", a hotdog with crab + Mac n cheese. Another amazing choice. The servers have all been very friendly and helpful. Stopped by to get a quick bite. In a hurry. Oh my! I am so glad we did!! They did serve quickly. I had the ol' goat hot dog. Best item i had in Ocean City /Fenwick Island this week. Best hot dog ever. I asked the owner/server what combo would be a surprise flavor wise. He mentioned the Ol goat ( goat cheese semi melted on all beef 1/4 pound hot dog, topped with caramelized onions. They were NOT skimpy with the goat cheese or onions. The cheese melted into the texture of soft cream cheese. The salty, sweet, pungent flavors were addictive. 2 had chili, onion and cheese toppings. One plain. All on freshly baked hot dog rolls. Very nice touch. I also tried a rum beverage. The Caribbean crush. I won't spoil it for you. Most unexpected beverage from a tucked away hot dog joint.
