As you can see from my past reviews, this is one of my top 5 restaurants for either on or off…read moreseason happy hour or dinner. I will summarize my three most recent visits in March during the off season on Friday's at 4 PM. We arrived at 3:50 PM prior to their open at 4 PM. Already two people were online. We waited in my Audi waiting for other customers to arrive. Other vehicles arrived around 3:55 PM so we exited my Audi to get in line behind the other two customers. When they opened at 4 PM we secured our favorite table for 4 to the left of the entrance. We were happy that Mike from his former Catch 54 served our table. We first met Mike here at Bluecoast back in 2021. Also Kelly from her former Off The Hook also stopped by to say hello. We enjoyed our dozen Chunu Virginia oysters. I also enjoyed my usual tuna poke for $15 with white rice, carrots, pineapple and jalapeno peppers. I ended my meal with a pineapple martini for $8. We returned here for our second visit with our friends. Since there were five of us we sat in their second booth on the right. Again Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita with salted rim for $9. Kelly delivered our dozen of the Chunu Virginia oysters for $12 to also say hello. I also enjoyed my two pineapple martinis for $8 each. I also enjoyed my tuna and salmon poke for $16. We also shared a bottle of Trefethen chardonnay for $58 with the Friday 1/2 price wine reduced down to $29. My total bill was reduced down from $143 to $114. Lindsay S. served us very well as usual. We returned for our third visit on Friday. We sat at the table to the left of the entrance. Kelly and Mike stopped by to say hello. I started with my margarita for $8 and ended with my pineapple martini also for $8. Again, I enjoyed my dozen Chunu Virginia oysters and my poke. Alexis D. served us very well. Customer service and friendship are most important. We will continue to return here for the off season happy hour.

Went to Bethany for their brunch…read more So the place is really nice and they tried to really put on a nice event. The service was very good and it was such a nice morning. For me the selection was kind of awkward. 1) they only had eggs Benedict to go with their breakfast selections of sausage, bacon , breakfast potatoes, and French toast. *** You need an omelette station or at least scrambled eggs. The egg had no flavor and the English muffins weren't toasted**** 2) the lunch selections were a mixed bag. The Mac & Cheese was a hit. They had a seafood rice dish that we thought was Jambalaya. But actually it was a tomato sauce based over a rice pilaf (kinda like Riceroni. 3) they had fresh seafood... shrimp cocktail, mussels, clams, and oysters. The shrimp were overcooked but still okay and the oysters were good but for some reason weren't shucked. So you had to scrape them of with the fork. The cost was $60 per person and my wife had a couple pear margaritas that were a whopping $14.00 each for a tumbler. So it was a nice day, a nice place, but it's just not worth the price tag. The other Easter brunch spots were booked solid. This place was about 1/2 full most of the time we were there between 11 and 1

This was our first time here. We were here for Sunday happy hour at the bar at 4 PM with my family…read moreand friends or a party of six. We were the first customers to enter at 4 PM so we had a choice of our bar stools. We chose the six bar stools around the corner of the bar.The padded bar stools with backs were very comfortable for our women. The bar is mostly made of dark wood so it is a little dark in appearance, which is fine for me, but some of our women were not as happy with the darkness. I started with and enjoyed my Purple Rain with aged rum, berry puree, lime and ginger beer for $10. After that I enjoyed my Blushing Basil, vodka, basil simple, strawberry puree and prosecco also for $10. I enjoyed both cocktails equally. I shared and enjoyed three roasted chicken wings in Buffalo orange sauce, pickled vegetables, jalapenos and blue cheese for $12. I prefer blue cheese over ranch. My chicken wings were very moist, which I prefer. My chicken wings were mildly spicy from the jalapenos. I also enjoyed my happy hour seafood paella with chorizo, shrimp, baby scallops, rice in a fresh tomato saffron broth for $22. I ended my dinner with my favorite pint of draft Guinness, which was $2 off or only $5. My total bill was $95 excluding gratuity. Bartender Skylar R. served all of us very well considering we were not regular customers, but first timers to visit. I will return here again for happy hour.
