This place is an absolute must-visit if you're in the area! I am a keen supporter of excellent taco makers wherever I go, and on a recent visit to Lewes, my wife and I decided to visit Stop N Go Taco. We had a little trouble finding a place to park, as the lot is very small. We also did not know for sure if there was indoor seating, but there is -- two booths and a bar facing out the window with 4-5 stools. We were lucky enough to get a booth that was open, and from there we could read the extensive menu. We overheard other patrons talking with the counter employee about the shrimp tacos, and found out that the restaurant makes its own seasoning. The employee (I didn't get his name) was super friendly and helpful, offering to answer our questions and help us choose. The other folks had loved their shrimp tacos, so we knew we had to try them. We also ordered a small chips and guac to share. And on a whim, I ordered the platanos fritos (fried plantains). The man at the counter asked if I wanted them with everything on them (cheese and sweetened condensed milk). We had never had them that way, so we said yes we would try it. Our food came out quickly but was obviously made with care and was super fresh. The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had anywhere! The chips were fresh and hot! I could have easily gorged myself on chips and guac, so I was glad we had gotten a small one. The shrimp tacos were heavenly -- excellent seasoning, cooked perfectly plump and juicy, and the chipotle mayo sauce (given to us in a bottle so we could use however much we wanted) was extremely tasty. We also tried the green sauce, which was also good. These tacos were easily the best we have ever had, and we wished we had each gotten an order of three instead of sharing one order. Our opinion on the plantains was mixed -- the fruit pieces were delicious and perfectly cooked with some lovely char and caramelization on the outside. The toppings, however, were too much for us. I had checked Google while we waited and saw some examples of this dish using queso fresco, but what we got was shredded cheese (possibly mozzarella), and there was a LOT of both that and the sweetened condensed milk. In my first bite, I included the toppings, and it was alright. But as I kept eating, the toppings overwhelmed the already sweet plantains, so I began scraping them off before eating them. If you like your plantains this way, more power to you! In the future, I would order them plain. The man at the counter checked on us many times and wanted to know how we liked everything. People kept coming in to order and it seemed like some of them were regulars who had become friends. That's a great sign that this place is always this good. Customer service was a 10/10!! Kevin greeted me and had a conversation with me. He recommended a few items and was super friendly! Valentine was so friendly. Cute little taco spot with plenty of options. Limited inside seating, but still a welcoming vibe. I got chicken and asada nachos. Very good and flavorful. The only thing missing was the guac, which was supposed to come with it. Also, we tried the birria tacos. Not my fav. Either the grill or spatula needed to be cleaned. I fortuitously discovered Stop n Go Taco in Rehobeth Beach recently. Having lived in LA for many years, I know my way around a good taco. Stop N Go Taco is authentic and AMAZING! Great food quality provided with friendly service! The tacos taste good, especially with their homemade sauces. The owner advised they make all food, including the sauces, in-house. Stop N Go will soon open a second location in Ocean View (apparently near the Wawa). Give them a try! read more

After a day at the beach our nap went a little too long so I was unable to get reservations for the place we really wanted to go. Stop and go tacos was less than a half mile walk so we went there. Very small place with maybe three table inside and additional seating outside. The person working was very welcoming . There were five of us. We got the chips and Queso, and guacamole. There were both excellent! I got the carnitas burrito, and it came with fries. She and her oldest got the USA enchilada in red sauce. The younger kids got the tacos and chicken fingers. The salsas on the table were very fresh and flavorful. It was about $100 total including a tip and that's pretty good compared to every other non fast food place that I had been researching around us. We all really enjoyed our meal. read more

My first time going here although my boyfriend has raved about it from the last time he was in Dewey. They have a decently large menu but I went with the shrimp tacos. The shrimp was large and i was surprisingly filled by the end of my meal. The employee at the front who greeted us was awesome. Tried out the shrimp, rockfish and carnitas tacos. Food was pretty good. Everything was cooked well and nothing was under or over cooked. Flavor was not bad at all. The three sauces were good. I'd consider returning. Just have to get used to today's prices. It was about $13-17 for three tacos with tax. The night I went, they closed like ten minutes early so be aware that could happen and they could ask you to wait outside the building. read more

Little did I know but I called these wonderful folks just before they were closing early. I was just checking to see how long they'd be open then call back and order. The gentleman was very nice and said take some time to decide what you want and to give him a call back in 30 minutes. I did and our lengthy order was ready in 20 minutes. What a great deal - everything was very reasonable! We ordered the guacamole and queso combo. The guac was fresh and queso was very tasty. They gave us extra chips and sauces as well. Wow, every dish was in nice large portions. I got shrimp tacos, my wife and two friends ordered two orders of fajitas. The shrimp in my tacos were perfectly cooked, nicely spiced with fresh crispy veggies. I really enjoyed them. The steak/chicken fajitas were excellent too as were the sides of rice & beans. We had plenty of leftovers for the next day and even the day after that! This is a great place for my Mexican fix! Phenomenal Mexican food, reasonably priced, in great quantities and ready quickly! Authentic mexican food right near rehoboth beach. I'll go ahead and say it, this is some of the best mexican food i've found anywhere. I'm half mexican myself and couldn't believe how good the food was. My favorite was the al pastor tacos. The meat was extremely tender and the tacos had two corn tortillas each, and they were absolutely loaded. Standard onion and cilantro and lime, and they were delicious. The salsa verde and roja alongside side made it even better. It was as good as the food my cousins have made. The burrito was also super good! I liked the fact they grilled the tortilla some before wrapping it, as normally places just give you a giant cold tortilla to eat with it. The ratio of meat to veggies was perfect and I could've downed three of them. I didn't expect the fries on the side but they were hot and fresh as ever. Overall, I absolutely recommend this place and would return in a heartbeat. Come try it out, you don't even have to pay to park here like a lot of other restaurants this close to rehoboth. read more
