    Funnel Cake

On a recent visit to Rehoboth Beach, I stopped by for a funnel cake. For 11 buck you get a huge portion. I shared mine with 2 other people. They have a few topping selections for your cake. From berry toppings to plain old powdered sugar. Service was friendly and quick. If you're ever in the area, stop by!

Solid three stars A-Okay. Was warned about the waits and I was ready. On an August Sunday, it wasn't that bad, but there was a wait. Mexican Style Street Corn in a cup and a lemonade for lunch? Yes, please. I feel like First State needs to employ that "It's Corn!" kid, or is he already in college, by now? "First State- IT'S CORN!"

I came to First State Corn because I love street corn. I got a cup of the classic Mexican street corn and really needed a drink so I got a blue raspberry slushee. Prices are high, even for the boardwalk. $19 for that, before tip. Corn cups are $12. A walking taco is $12- WOOF. First, it took forever. There were a lot of people out today, but I think there were only two people in front of me waiting for food here. You would think they had to go harvest the corn with how long it took. I was expecting something pretty fresh-tasting, but it was definitely lacking in that department. Corn was decent, but I wouldn't go back for the quality vs price. The slush was not very flavorful - tasted like water/ice with food coloring or a very little bit of flavor. The girl that took my order was friendly. They also have sandwiches and stuff on their menu which are much more reasonable in price than the corn cups, IMO.

The best treats!!! And the mexican street corn is a must. Also try the corn nuggets and ask for extra sauce, so good.

We stopped by this shop while staying Rehoboth beach. The Mexican corn cup was very tasty, but nothing mind boggling.

Right away the setting is immaculate. The story of the shop is literally all over the walls…read more Fantastic accolades from Delaware's best culinary aficionados. The decor and music choices marry the Latin-inspired cuisine with a classic Rehoboth east-coast beach sensibility. I was made to feel warm (at heart, they still have AC to keep ya cool) and welcome. The highlight was the service. The man (I believe the owner himself) was the cheeriest and kindest man I've met all week. He encouraged all of our choices and offered us to try the delicious beverages (tamarind was my favorite!) Food was served quickly and with a smile. I was very satisfied even though I must admit I kept my choice pretty standard with the Little Missionary. While just a footlong with mayo, ketchup, and mustard, it really hit the spot when I just wanted more of a plain hot dog. My friends got the Little German and Little Cock which were coated in all manner of ingredients. My friends were so content, they got another dog to go. Need a quick bite from one of the friendliest guys in Rehoboth Beach (and that's tough list to top)? Please give them a try.

The service is fast and door dashers were in and out quite a few times in the 30 minutes I was eating there. The staff was very friendly and even helped me choose something that was gluten free since I am Celiac and can't eat most buns, but they had a gluten free option and it was awesome. Thanks! I'll be back!
