I've been by here many times heading down Rt113. Decided to stop in and get a late lunch. There were only 3 tables with customers, so we were seated immediately. They brought us chips and salsa. The salsa had some large chunks of tomatoes, which we weren't a fan of, and the chips were thicker than what we are used to . It was fair on flavor. We ordered beef quesadilla and a large burrito with everything (see pics) . The main food was good along with the rice and refried beans. Our tab came to $36 with a 20 oz. Draft beer. read more

I love I love this restaurant. I have been there several times and the atmosphere is amazing. The service is amazing. The food is amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. They are so accepting of everyone that comes in and they can't. They cannot do enough for you the drinks the margaritas are delicious all different kinds of margaritas. My favorite is the peach their menu goes from $10 to maybe $22 so it's not extremely expensive. You can add things to your menu so I highly recommend you give it a try. I love this place!! The parking lot is huge and so is the restaurant itself, but inside isn't particularly loud or crowded. The food is ready quickly but not so fast that you feel rushed. I've been here twice now and both times my food has been fantastic. I love their burritos and enchiladas. However, if you're on the more particular side, make sure to specify exactly what you DO want in your meal -- my moderately picky sister was a bit disappointed to find some surprise vegetables in her tacos that weren't listed as included on the menu. After picking them out she liked her food, though. I'll eat pretty much anything so the surprises were fine with me, and I can't wait to come back again soon!! read more

I had the worst Huevos Rancheros' ever. overcooked eggs with a very small amount of liquid hot sauce. If it wasn't for the spice I wouldn't have known it was there. I've eaten Huevos Rancheros in New Mexico, Texas and Pennsylvania and they looked nothing like what was served here. Wife had beef fajitas and the beef was close to leather. Will never return. I have never stopped here as I travel back and forth to the beach. It's on the main road and in the parking lot near Roses. Wanted a quick dinner and decided to check their Menu. This is a large restaurant, plenty of space and a nice bar in the middle. They have a large variety of dishes and some a la cart sides too. My server was so friendly and helpful. I decided to go with the Texas Fajitas and it's a combination of chicken, steak, and shrimp. They give you complementary chips and salsa. The salsa is very good !! My dish was very flavorful but missed some spices and I would have preferred rice with my refried beans. So, fajitas were good, but not great. Service, however, was outstanding! I will go back to try something different next time. They have a lot on their menu to choose from! read more

Service is friendly, prices went up, portions went down. Kinda sucks. I never see this place busy. If someone says the food is "VERY GOOD", that's not true. They have their downs and ups. The cooks do NOT know how to cook a steak. You ask for RARE, they give you Medium to well done. I want my damn cow bleeding, thank you. It started with ordering a pitcher of margaritas and 2 glasses of water. We wait an insane amount of time meanwhile eating chips and salsa with no drink. Our mouths are as dry as the Sahara. Finally the waitress appears with no water or pitcher and hands us 2 margaritas in glasses. UMMM??? Huh? Fast forward fifteen minutes later we receive 2 waters and pitcher of margaritas. We ordered BEEF fajitas #202 and #210 Tacos de Carne Asada chicken and we receive CHICKEN fajitas. REALLY? So we return the chicken fajitas and receive beef fajitas but no tortillas to eat them. After waiting ten minutes we receive the tortillas. Can it get any worse? The food is now cold. I don't even want to eat the food now. I ask for boxes and she is not returning with boxes. YES!@@@@!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its getting worse. The waitress tries to give us the bill and no boxes . WAIT . STOP . ITS Kackys birthday . Please sing to her. I told you from the beginning its her birthday. I have to go to the hostess stand and tell the hostess to please sing to my friend because its her birthday and explain what's been going on with all the mess ups. Lady in charge at hostess stand says "Were going to make up for this". They did sing and bring her fried ice cream but the ice cream wasn't fried!! LOL They did wipe whip cream on her nose and that was cute. By no mean did they make up for this. Funny ...Funny. I wont be returning anytime soon. You couldn't make any of this stuff up. I grew up in Arizona and I first saw this restaurant years ago in Wilmington. It was called La Tolteca back then. It is Mexican food that was so similar to AZ and yummy. Their house margaritas are great and enjoy their comlimentary chips and salsa. I like their chimichangas which are small, but very tasty. I also like their chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. On most plates they give you a salad which includes sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes and lettuce. You usually have to pay extra for that in other places. Not here. The chicken and beef tip dishes are excellent. I wouldn't order the ground beef dishes again. I just think the flavor wasn't there in the dish I ordered with ground beef. I go there at least once a week. It has great prices and great food! read more

Really?? This restaurant wants to be a Tex Mex, but the menu items are just pathetic. There was a time when quick Mexican meant going through an order line as your meal would be assembled from a half dozen pans on the warming tray. Imagine using those half dozen ingredients to create thirty more dishes, and you have the idea. Now imagine those options coming straight from a can. What I have described would be better than what we got. You got it? Now imagine stereotyped decore that might be mistaken as a farce or spoof on the stereotype. These were brightly colored, faux rustic Mexican peasant festival decorations. Then there was the beer. Draft beer and bottled beer are two different things. The millsboro location is the fourth tonalteca I've eaten at -- I've already tried the ones in rehoboth, millville, and milford. I like them all, and I usually get the same thing -- enchiladas rancheras -- two cheese enchiladas smothered with pork and sauce. The tonaltecas are pretty consistent in quality, so you really can't miss with any of them, but millsboro really nailed this dish. It was the pork that did it. Some pieces were crunchy and crispy, like potstickin good, and others were real tender and juicy and fatty. As you may have guessed, I'm kinda serious about my pork. I told the person on the phone taking the order that I was really craving their nachos. I asked could he offer a similiar item more designed for delivery. He told me "No" lol he said he would make sure my nachos would be just like I was coming into restaurant to eat! So I ordered them and they came in separate containers and hot and fresh and easy to assemble myself! I try not to be a pain in the rear when I order delivery. Where do you eat while at the beach and your friend is Vegetarian and does not eat seafood? Exactly. No delicious seafood for us. Luckily, I found a restaurant with a few reviews (6 at the time) and 4 stars. Went to their website and there was a whole section titled "Vegetarian". SCORE! I am tempted to make this a 5 star review, but it has to be the best of the best. If Yelp had partial stars, this would be a solid 4.25. First, it was easy to find despite my Windows phone sending me in the wrong direction. Next, there was plenty of parking but it is the off-season at the beach. There were noticeably quite a few cars at 6pm on a Friday night. A good sign, right? Right! We headed straight to the bar because it wasn't 7 pm yet...Happy Hour time! Insert frowny face right here. It should be stated on the website that there is no happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays. Major disappointment because we are big happy hour diners! We probably would have gone elsewhere if we were not starving. We also try to make lemonade out of lemons so we sat down at the bar anyway. Glad we did! We had so many drinks to choose from. Margaritas? But which one? At least 10 different flavors and just as many different tequilas. Daquiris? Si. Any flavor your heart desires. (Peach seemed to be a favorite tonight) Beers? Tons. How to choose? My suggestion is to wait until a really cute server walks by and ask him for recommendations! He swore by the Golden Margarita which comes with Gran Marnier...top notch indeed! The best part is the price...at $7 a real steal! Mmmmmmmm....sipping margaritas and noshing on chips and salsa (so chunky and mild...until all of a sudden your tongue starts tingling!) trying to decide which of the yummy entrees to order. Soooo many pages to look through. I know! Start with an appetizer! I wanted to try the queso with beef or the chile dip with enchilada sauce....mmmmmm. Sigh, we got guacamole (note to self: find new friends who can eat meat!). Delicious! Cool and creamy and only $3.5! Nine different entrees for my vegetarian friend to choose from so no wonder she kept changing her mind. She went with the Super Combo ($10) because she wanted to try the chile relleno. You gotta love cheese if you order this dish. The cheese enchilada and the chile were both SMOTHERED in cheese. There was a side of beans but I couldn't find it under all the cheese! She let me try the chile relleno and it was so scrumptious. Yum! Bet you are dying to know what I picked! It was a tough choice. Do I go with a combination dinner where I get to choose two items from: quesadilla, burrito, enchilada, taco, chile relleno, tamal, chalupa or chile con queso for only $8.50? Am I hungry enough to choose the Grande Special Sampler which comes with a chulupa, chile relleno, beef enchilada, beef burrito and a beef taco for $15? Trust me. I had not eaten all day and was hungry enough to try. I gave the bartender my three choices and before I could even close my mouth, she replied, "Texas Fajitas!" Excellent choice. Tender slices of beef, chicken AND shrimp covered the hot plate! I was using the flour tortillas at first adding sour cream, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers which made my taste buds so happy with every bite but I soon realized that I couldn't keep it up if I wanted to finish my plate. Sigh. Sometimes, you should just go with your gut and NOT eat the whole thing! I dug into all the tender meaty pieces and seriously cleaned my plate...I hate to waste meat. By the time we left, we were literally rolling each other out the door. Our tummies were happy and the wallet was barely any lighter from our $44 dinner. We are going for seafood tonight. As soon as we pulled up and walked in I was happy about picking this spot off of a quick Yelp search (didn't get a chance to look at pictures, read reviews, etc.). Don't go to this restaurant. They sat us down and we waited for a server for 20 minutes no one came. They were not even busy. We got up and ask if someone will come to our table. One of the servers said he will be there in a minute. 5 minutes later no one came and we got up and left the place. No one even apologize. This place has got some great food but it lacks one thing. He service is HORRIBLE! I am not kidding you we saw about 5-7 families walk out because no waiter had arrived to their table! The place is beautiful and nearly empty (Labor Day weekend). We sat at the bar. They have a bar top game which was entertaining. This was good because nobody acknowledged our existence for at least 15 minutes. We both ordered fajitas. Everything was like shoe leather. I didn't eat any of mine. When our server/bartender came to deliver the check, he saw that I had only taken one bite of my food. He didn't ask if I liked it or if I wanted to take it home.
