I have eaten there several times and the food is always fantastic. The service is awesome and the wait time is good as well.

I went to this restaurant after a hard long day of work. I live hour plus away from this restaurant. I paid 28.00 and some change for a meal that was not what I ask for or paid. When I called the manage, she got nasty and tried to say she always have a problem with me which is a lie. This is her throw back because she's been found wrong. First of all, I would never keep coming to a place where I always have A problem. So i have pictures and the receipt of the charge, what they gave me, she's upset saying I can't believe that i waited almost two hours later. Well I live an hour away and I made stops for gas and other things along the way. when I got home, I saw that my meal was not what I paid for, took picture, called the manager and she got nasty. Honestly I have seen a decline in the quality and service since the renovation. Idk if a change in management happened or what. The meats aren't the quality they used to be, the atmosphere is prettier and music is nice but it takes 10 times longer to get food than it used to. Could be door dash orders but when someone is "in your house" i feel they should take priority. It is hard to find decent authentic Mexican food so we will return and hope things have improved by then. read more

Came here last week, there were 4 tables for 4 and they told us we cant sit there. We were party of 2 .. There was table like for children that we had to wait for. We walked out. Came back again to try it and place was empty. Sat right down. They put a pink paper on the table with the menus. My wife asked what was that, waiter replied READ it. It was their RULES ! WTF .. He came back to the table to take the order and asked again if we read it! We replied YES! They are very unaccommodating to say the least. We wanted to change something on our order 5 min later and the manager was nasty, and she wouldn't change it. I should of READ THE RULES! Also if you want more chips better read the rules ! LOL .. I work for company in Delmar Del and we have ordered from this place on numerous occasions and most every time when my driver gets it back to work there is always something wrong with it or something missing. They want to blame the customer because when they repeated the order back to me on the phone I would say ok. I told them them you can not understand the person on the phone, food is not all that great either. read more

Meat was very dry and the meat chunks were too big to really enjoy, tortilla chips were cold. Service was terrible. It took forever to get our food. The tortillas were grilled to perfection the beef and cheese were fantastic and perfectly cooked and the consume and their customer hot sauces were just the icing on the cake so to say. I ordered two of each pastor, barbacoa and chorizo, with cilantro, onion and green pico... I sat and waited with a Margherita on the rocks which was quite good and not expensive... under $20 for everything!! A little slow for service sometimes and hard to get a seat but this is good food!! It is worth the wait. Real tacos and burritos worth taking a friend with you. We are working out way through the menu. Plenty for vegetarians and vegans with minimal alterations. This is the best Taco place in the area and definitely the the best Mexican food you will find on HWY 13. We found this place by chance once when we were starving and craving Mexican. What followed were the most satisfying tacos ever eaten on a road trip. However much like the room of requirement, we were never able to pinpoint this restaurant ever again, though we never forgot the taste. The restaurant seemed to have disappeared into thin air. Until TODAY, the massive number of cars surrounding this shabby cute place drew our attention as we sped down HWY 13. We pulled over and the restaurant pulled out all the stops, delivering the deliciousness from our dreams. First thing I saw was the bathroom was outside, and had a little chuckle to myself. This is a small place, maybe 10 tables, and a bar that extends nearly the length of the place. The decor was aesthetically pleasing, and had a clean look to it. I chose to sit at the bar. Service was outstanding, anything I needed I got in a reasonable time. I ordered a Modelo which was perfect temperature and refreshing. They have a small tequila selection, but plenty of Mexican brews. I forgot to ask tequila prices. Slacker! Chips and Salsa!!!! Chips....excellent, fried hard, fresh, and could handle a topping. Salsa....pureed with a strong tomato flavor, a touch of spicy, with a slight cilantro kick on the end. Not my favorite, I prefer more cilantro on top of more cilantro. It was serviceable and I'm sure most folks would enjoy it. Green salsa pureed texture, cool, almost tasteless to me. Creamy green cool, creamy texture, with a bit more heat with no real standout flavor. I'm thinking maybe some avocado and jalapeno??? I was hoping for creamy cilantro. Creamy orange again, cool with the creamy texture. I couldn't find a standout flavor, but had a little creeping heat to it. My theory is that they may just help hydrate meat without overpowering with flavor. Or maybe my tongue took a break. I ordered Torta de Milenesa: Breaded chicken, mayo, beans, lettuce, tom, onion, and avocado. $7.99. Can you fall in love with a sandwich? Because I did on Dec 2nd 2018. Easily the best torta I've had so far in my travels. Perfectly cooked, it had some crunch, yet was moist and delicious inside. The bread was amazing, and everything came together like a marriage made in Heaven. I ordered Tacos....Chorizo, carnitas, cabeza, pastor, and lengua. Chorizo...solid taco, good char, almost dry, low on the greasy factor. wow the tortillas are out of this world fantastic! Carnitas...melt in your mouth with a great crunch. I feel like these hit the fryer. I could eat these forever and stay happy!!! Cabeza... not that melt in your mouth butter flavor I love, but a good taco none the less. Pastor...outstanding! great char, seasoned well, cooked to perfection with some pineapple chunks in there for good measure. Lengua... nothing really special to me. Id say this one was middle of the road in the lengua game. With the salsa's provided, each taco showed improvement. All but the carnitas... I wolfed it down before the thought of salsa came to mind. The service was horrible the wait staff did not bring chips and salsa until asked after sitting for 15 minutes. After taking are drink order are server rushed to take are food order. We were served cold food a hour and a half later. When we finally received are food things were missing. I placed a to go order with another staff he told us he would tell our server. We waited a half a hour then checked with our server and she said he never told her. Then I asked her to put in the order. We then waited another half a hour for her to tell me that the kitchen was backed up because of door dash orders I was very disappointed with the service and the rudeness of the staff. Terrible experience. Most rude and unprofessional manager I have ever encountered. I gave my order twice to waitress so loud that my entire table heard. When I was brought an ENTIRELY wrong meal, my wife said to her "that's not what he ordered." She agreed to take it back and bring the correct order. The manager (I assume) came to the table and said his staff doesn't make mistakes and I would have to pay for both meals. Went here for lunch with my wife. Having eaten at many Mexican restaurants in Arizona over the past 30 years, this place is top notch. We shared an order of guacamole which was creamy and fantastic. The salsa was the perfect consistency and tasty. We also shared the molcajete....WOW...a real treat. Very hard pressed to find any east coast Mexican restaurants serving molcajete. The food is super inexpensive for under $10.00, I got complimentary chips with salsa, limes, and salsa Verde, 3 tacos, and a soda. You are going to love the chips and salsa. The tacos were $2.00 and $3.00. Carne Asada, fish, and shrimp. They were so good! Perfect toppings cilantro, onion, seasoning and lime on tacos. I swear the flour tortillas were homemade. On Tuesdays, per the waitress , Tacos are $1.00 and you need to eat in to get the price. She told me its not uncommon that people will order 20 tacos and take the rest home. Unbelieveably great. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. Two of us split a Molcajete and it was to-die-for. The chorizo was amazing, the shrimp were scrumptious and that cactus they serve is so good and unusual. The mango margheritas are some of the best we've ever had! Go here, just go.
