The food was amazing! The hostess was very accommodating and attentive, though it was very busy!

Came across this little quiet storefront--the establishment is a market, dessert cart and restaurant. The market is vibrant with various packaged food items. Though small it packs a lot! The restaurant is located in the back left corner of the store and has about seven tables inside. There is one table outside if you want to order to-go and sit outside (careful of the dust from the parking lot). The number of flies inside was very annoying, a fly trap or fly tape would be highly beneficial. If you're pescatarian/vegetarian/vegan, yes, they have options for you, however, if you order anything that takes space on the grill--you will have particles of meat and/or meat flavoring in your dish. They don't serve alcohol and if you want a drink, they won't ask you, you're to grab it from the fridge before sitting down/ordering. Monday through Thursday orders at taken at the window. Friday through Sunday orders are taken seated at the tables. Before 5PM you can seat yourself but afterwards, they tend to get busy and you'll need to wait to be seated.

Best food in southern delaware period I managed a restaurant for some time and I know how easy it is for a good place to put out a bad meal once in a while if everything isn't dialed in. That being said I have NEVER had a bad meal at La Sierra. Everything is always through the roof. Super friendly service and the best food anywhere for miles.

Amazing food, server was friendly, and very very reasonably priced. Hard to find a place that has all three of these qualities anymore. Generous portions. You will not leave hungry. Will visit again for sure.

Está es una triste realidad, el servicio a cambiado demasiado, y los precios siguen subiendo, deberían de regresar al buen servicio y presentación de su comida.

The vibes here are immaculate - this is what you imagine when you think coastal taqueria. From the wooden building to the bizarre layout, this is it. You can't go wrong with that! The hot sauces are homemade, the salsa tasted fresh, everything from a condiment perspective was good. Now again was it authentic, no, but come on... If you have to order two things I would get the corn appetizer - it is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten in delaware, and then the surf and turf burrito because it is epic! Everything I tried was good. The drink situation could use some help...the margarita was fine, but i really wanted neat mezcal and that was incomprehsible to them to the point that I ended up with a mezcal margarita that had anejo mezcal in it...sad We'll be back!

As soon as we pulled in we noticed the lack of parking, honestly at no fault to the restaurant despite that being a complaint amongst reviews. I popped out and sent my bf on his manly duties to fight for a parking spot while I secured a table. I walked in and was immediately sat along the windows to the left of the hostess table. Granted, we are a party of two which absolutely helped a quick seating. Immediately our waiter greeted me and very kindly offered to either take my drink order or return when my bf arrived. In the middle of that time he dropped a pitcher of water, and rounded back very quickly once my bf was seated. We did a round of drinks and an appetizer to start. Ordering our meals halfway through our app. We stuck to non-alcoholic drinks as it was the back end of our trip (lol), so no review of the cocktails although a reliable source complimented the marg! We ordered the fried brussel sprouts as our app, there was no shortage of bacon nor balsamic glaze and we really enjoyed! For our meals we both ordered the steak fajitas with corn tortillas, and I asked for extra peppers. It ended up being a $2 upcharge however, I feel like I am always shorted veggies when I'm down the beach and they gave quite a generous amount. As for the fajitas/steak, it was very well seasoned and very tender. Ultimately we had enough leftover to take home and throw in a wrap for lunch! For the cost, I felt the portions were quite fair. Overall I think we will absolutely be back. Highlights are the service and the value of the meal. I've had some very awful experiences with restaurants in OC and this place definitely gave me some hope. I would love to come back for their awesome sounding happy hour, as well as to try some tacos!

Because of that, we respectfully asked about getting a refund. The staff told us only a manager could approve refunds, but the manager wasn't there at the time. No alternative solution was offered -- not a replacement meal, store credit, or any way to help resolve the situation. Since this is a family-owned restaurant it left us feeling stuck and unheard as customers. I understand policies exist, but spending that much money and leaving without being able to eat the food or get help addressing the issue was very frustrating. I hope management can improve how situations like this are handled so other customers don't have the same experience.

The food was amazing. The pour over, fresh ground coffee served with a shot glass of sparking water to refresh the palate set the stage for the care and level of food quality and service we could expect. The egg and cheese quesadillas were mouth watering and left us wanting for more. The egg and chorizo Mexican torta was so huge I didn't think I'd be able to eat it all, but each bite was rich with authentic Mexican flavors that I couldn't stop. We topped it off with the beautifully baked concha bun that finished us off perfectly. The location is great with plenty of parking and once warmer temperatures come, sitting outside on the patio next to the water will be the place to be. Can't wait to go back!
