Shrimp Taco

Food is AMAZING! You will not be disappointed with anything that you order from Guancos. Chicken burrito was phenomenal and the Birria, Shrimp, and Chicken tacos were to die for! 10/10 - we will definitely be returning! The staff is also very friendly! A great spot to grab a bite to eat outside on a summer day.

Food Truck

You'll say, "¡muy rico!" on the first bite. Don't miss Guanacos food truck located on Hwy 1, next to the Fractured Prune. The food is plentiful, tasty, and 100% Salvadoran. We came for food but learned about Salvadoran culture too. A husband and wife duo opened this stand about a year and a half ago. Celso, the husband, is inviting and proud of his business. He explained that "Guanaco" is a slang name for Salvadorans (even though a literal guanaco is a relative of the alpaca). People who know the slang will understand that they can purchase pupusas at the establishment- clever! The food trailer also depicts a torogoz, the national bird of El Salvador. The food will speak for itself. The pupusas are large in contrast to others I've had in the past. They come in groups of three with a choice of cheese; bean and cheese; or bean, cheese, and pork. They give you salsa roja (which is actually a carrot colored orange salsa) and curtido (a vinegary carrot, cabbage, Jalepeno slaw) to dress your pupusas. For $11 you'll be absolutely stuffed silly and feel grateful you pulled of the Highway. We also had a Pork Al Pastor taco and a chicken taco, each costing $4. They were served on corn tortillas and stuffed to maximum capacity. It's hard not to appreciate the depth in flavor when you have pork that seems marinated, red onions, and a tangy lime to accent what's already given to you. The tacos were satisfactory and worth a stop if their own. The for drinks there are glass bottles of Mexican Coke, Jarritos, cans of soda, and water bottles in a cooler beside the stand. Our water was cold but it was also nearly freezing outside. Abundant seating is available outside in front of the food truck. Grab a picnic table and get cozy. It was about 40 degrees Fahrenheit when we stopped, which led us to take our food home. I bet this is a poppin' place come some warmer weather. My family is convinced this will be their new favorite stop!

Steak burrito

Very authentic food. Service was friendly and helpful. We always visit and order multiple times when on vacation.

Pork burrito with no cheese (as requested).

This is our favorite new place. We try to eat here at least a couple times a month. The burritos are to DIE for, so delicious and packed full. I don't eat cheese, so I get them without and I don't even miss it because the flavors and the creaminess of the avocado and beans are so good. My partner loves their pupusas and chorizo fries. The chorizo is the best I've ever had, super flavorful. I'm also obsessed with the consome for the birria-- I dip everything in it. The prices are also super reasonable and a great value. They make everything fresh so expect to wait 15-20 minutes, I recommend calling ahead to skip the wait.

The platter

The best food with the best prices in Rehoboth, I recommend this truck to everyone I can. These guys take true pride in the food they prepare and I'm happy I work so close. Everyone I know says the same thing, "I've never had anything off their menus I don't like"

Great food with a big proud smile. Papusas are especially good and chicken meat on the tacos is fresh and tasty.
