There is also a counter that has onions, cilantro, hot sauces if you wanted more on your food. Overall, the service and ambiance was excellent! Definitely going back when we plan another family trip.

The steak in the tacos was very juicy and flavorful, but the salsa verde tasted extremely good on the tacos! The price for the 3 tacos was $10, which was fair compared to many other places I've been to, so I would probably come again.

My husband and I are both gluten-free so I requested corn tortillas with the two fajita dishes that we ordered. When the food arrived home, we realized that there were flour tortillas, not corn as requested. I immediately called the restaurant to let them know. The gentleman who pulled our ticket while I was on the phone said that it did not say corn tortillas - nothingelse, put me on hold and I ended up hanging up. I ordered the Texan fajita, which is a combination of steak, chicken and shrimp. It was flavorful, however, the steak was inedible. There were several pieces of grizzly meat that I could not cut with a sharp knife. Needless to say, I pretty disappointed. The story should end there, but I happen to be in the same strip mall as the restaurant today. So I decided to stop in to speak to the personally. In my conversation with the manager, it was revealed that this was the person I had spoken to on the phone. I politely told him about the steak in this fajita. I was not looking for a refund a coupon or anything like that. I really just wanted him to know so that he could make sure it did not happen to another customer. Instead of apologizing, and asking me how he could resolve this issue, he went on to defend their product, " we have many customers order this dish, and no one has ever complained". His response is why I am writing this review. He obviously did not learn that the "customer is always right", even when they might not be. At the very least he should have apologized and offered to make sure that it did not happen again by speaking with the kitchen staff. Based upon our experience, this will be the first and last time that we will eat in or from this restaurant.

I am embarrassed to say that my boys haven't quite embraced Mexican food. Both love chips and salsa or guacamole and queso and my youngest will eat a deconstructed taco, but when it comes to loaded nachos or tacos they tend to shy away from even the simplest quesadilla. The kid's menu offered the typical kid friendly dishes like chicken tenders, pizza and hot dogs. I'm not sure what the white sauce was that accompanied our chips and salsa, but it tasted extremely acidic and possibly rancid so we immediately pushed the mystery sauce to the side. We ordered queso and guacamole to go with our chips and salsa and both were fantastic. The queso had a slightly spicy jalapeño kick and the guacamole was super fresh. The salsa was so good that my husband asked to purchase a container to bring to our hotel. My carnitas were loaded with salty braised pork, diced raw onions, fresh cilantro and accompanied with a lime wedge. These tacos were so simple, yet so delicious and horchata was perfectly spiced with cinnamon. My husband's soup looked like it had been simmering all day and my husband said it was nice and spicy. I stole a sip of his margarita and it was very tart and refreshing. As expected, the kids meals looked gross, but my boys were content and had already stuffed themselves with chips and salsa, guacamole and queso. The atmosphere is extremely casual and the service was very prompt and friendly. I'm so glad we found this restaurant on our drive to Bethany Beach!

This place is an absolute must-visit if you're in the area! I am a keen supporter of excellent taco…read moremakers wherever I go, and on a recent visit to Lewes, my wife and I decided to visit Stop N Go Taco. We had a little trouble finding a place to park, as the lot is very small. We also did not know for sure if there was indoor seating, but there is -- two booths and a bar facing out the window with 4-5 stools. We were lucky enough to get a booth that was open, and from there we could read the extensive menu. We overheard other patrons talking with the counter employee about the shrimp tacos, and found out that the restaurant makes its own seasoning. The employee (I didn't get his name) was super friendly and helpful, offering to answer our questions and help us choose. The other folks had loved their shrimp tacos, so we knew we had to try them. We also ordered a small chips and guac to share. And on a whim, I ordered the platanos fritos (fried plantains). The man at the counter asked if I wanted them with everything on them (cheese and sweetened condensed milk). We had never had them that way, so we said yes we would try it. Our food came out quickly but was obviously made with care and was super fresh. The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had anywhere! The chips were fresh and hot! I could have easily gorged myself on chips and guac, so I was glad we had gotten a small one. The shrimp tacos were heavenly -- excellent seasoning, cooked perfectly plump and juicy, and the chipotle mayo sauce (given to us in a bottle so we could use however much we wanted) was extremely tasty. We also tried the green sauce, which was also good. These tacos were easily the best we have ever had, and we wished we had each gotten an order of three instead of sharing one order. Our opinion on the plantains was mixed -- the fruit pieces were delicious and perfectly cooked with some lovely char and caramelization on the outside. The toppings, however, were too much for us. I had checked Google while we waited and saw some examples of this dish using queso fresco, but what we got was shredded cheese (possibly mozzarella), and there was a LOT of both that and the sweetened condensed milk. In my first bite, I included the toppings, and it was alright. But as I kept eating, the toppings overwhelmed the already sweet plantains, so I began scraping them off before eating them. If you like your plantains this way, more power to you! In the future, I would order them plain. The man at the counter checked on us many times and wanted to know how we liked everything. People kept coming in to order and it seemed like some of them were regulars who had become friends. That's a great sign that this place is always this good. PLEASE support these great people and their fantastic food! Your mouth will thank you!
