Best rice and beans!!! Disappointed that they are always out of guacamole and plantains :( However, when they have them both are delicious!!

I can't believe this place has good reviews. I am so disgusted with their food. Me and my boyfriend decided to give it a whirl because we like mexican food. So why not go to a place local? I walked in, people were chatting about how great it was. I was excited. I ordered chicken tacos and a fish taco meal. It smelled wonderful in the bag. I got home, opened it up and and a FULL fish Fried in a container!! Scales, eyes, fins.... Whole damn thing!!! And the chicken tacos? Burnt to a freaking char. Worst 29$ ever spent. Picture to prove the fish will be posted. Ugh.j

This is my favorite local Mexican place to eat at. They've changed their menu a few times since I've been going here. The food is always made to order (meaning you might have to wait 5-10 min for your food after you order). The food is so good that it's not surprising that the place is rarely empty. The portions seem to be about the right size, so you probably won't have any left overs. Usually, I spend about $10-$15/person when I come here. More often than not, I have to clean my own table when I arrive. Don't let the lack of a clean table keep you from eating in the house; you don't want to risk a portion of your food getting soggy because you took it home. Overall, the only ambiance that this place has is created by the Mexican music, and some pitiful looking decorations that are clinging to their off-color walls. It's definately not a fancy place, but the food is good enough that I've had a few dine and dash dates here. [Maybe dine and dash isn't the right term since I did pay before I received my food, but I mean to say I didn't linger after I ate.] Besides lacking draft beer (they have bottles), they are missing a salsa bar. The hot salsa isn't spicy at all to me. The mild salsa is equally underwhelming. Also, they don't have any jaritas machines, not even a pina colada machine. No Mexican candy either, but the Hispanic grocer on the right might have something for you. Also, they stack their dirty dishes to the right of the cash register. It may be convenient for the workers since they have an open garbage barrel right there to throw to old food in, but I dislike walking past it to get to the bathrooms. As far as I can see, the kitchen is clean.

I was in town for a day and wanted to have good Mexican food. The reviews on Yelp helped me decide to go to this place (most of the bad reviews are because of bad service). It's simple and small, order at the counter, and somewhat of an extensive menu with Salvadorian and Mexican dishes. I ordered 4 tacos and a pupusa; the food was full of flavors but a little small for the price (the shrimp taco only had 3 shrimp). The horchata was also very good. The service (like other reviews have mentioned) needs a lot of improvement.

Best tacos and rice & beans in Harfod County! Reasonable prices and quick service. I recommend the surf & turf burrito if you're in the mood for splurging. Lost a star because the dining room is less than desirable, but the food is 5 stars.

Authentic delicious El Salvadorian dishes. The yuca, enchiladas and tacos were prepared well and full of flavor.

The place wasn't packed but the conversations filling the air below the music playing over the speaker. TVs and art spaced along the walls and a host desk as soon as you come in. I was seated within minutes by Mercio. He was a good time recommending drinks and filling me in on the taco deal for Tuesday. I started with the Rosita ( per Mercio request) and I see why it's popular on the mocktail menu! The elote de la calle was so tender with lots of lime at first I was worried about eating a whole corn but luckily they split it. The coco loco shrimp tacos were fire too filled to the brim and I loved garlic aioli! To finish the night the flan was just thing best I've had in a while and a great size. This is a place to come and enjoy a meal without feeling the need to be rushed. I'll be back to try more of this menu for sure.

We were very lucky; as soon as we sat down, the place filled up with customers and there were many waiting to be seated. Our waitress came over and took our drink order and we asked for a little time to place our appetizer order. When the waitress returned, we placed our order and she asked us to place our main course order. We asked if we could wait until she brought the appetizer. She never returned. We waited and watched as she continued to go from table to table taking orders, delivering orders and occasionally looking our way. Finally, the owner came to our table and took our order. Our food was brought to us by the waitress and that was the last we saw of her. Still, people waiting for table seating. Other customers finishing their meals and we wait. And wait. And wait. Finally, the owner comes back over to us as our waitress watches. We told him that we have been waiting for a box and the check for over twenty minutes. I guess she thought that we made her wait to take our order, that she would make us wait for our dinner. The owner apologized, brought a box and the check. And the waitress watched. Her passive-aggressive behavior was amazing. As we were leaving, the owner apologized again. We have always enjoyed eating at his restaurant. The owner is such a hard-working gentleman and the food is so good. It is a shame that his business is being ruined by this waitress. As good as the food is, the service was horrible. I can honestly say we will not be back.

A level up from Fast food interior. Steady around 3:30 on a Tuesday. I've seen other locations (they have a total of 7) and always thought it was just about Charbroiled Chicken but they offer so much more. The grand opening offer was for a 1/4 chicken with two sides. We got dark meat with fries and creamed spinach. Signature Chicken didn't disappoint-tender, juicy and just right seasoned. We wanted to try another dish also so we ordered the Pollo Parrilero-sides were Chaufa Rice and Red Potatoes. Boneless Chicken was grilled perfectly and if you like a strong charbroiled taste this one is for you. Long list of sides and we enjoyed all of them. Three sauces with green being the spiciest. The other two were in the Garlic and Comeback sauce neighborhood. All went well with the chicken and sides. Ordered the Tres Leches cake-although not made by them, delicious-they mentioned the Flan is house made. Tried the Inca cola for the first time. Peruvian (although bottled by Coke)-sugary and called the Champagne of Colas-one to just enjoy without reading the ingredients though. Service was friendly, upbeat and filled with hustle. We will be back to try some of their other dishes-Pasta, Subs, Wraps, Burritos and a few Seafood options.

Small tables and chairs to eat inside once you order. The menu is displayed on screens above the counter. Big! Very colorful, and a lot to take in. I recommend toning it down a bit. The food was typical Gran Pollo in flavor and looks. It was tasty and the vegetables were actually crisp and flavorful. One pet peeve I noticed, when paying for the food the screen asked for a tip. Now when I order food, get in my car and drive to pickup my own food I don't think I should be asked to tip.i declined but I could feel the cashier watching me. Not a fan of this option. The service was OK. Not great or over the top. But he took my order gave me my food. One thing, I ordered a salad and it came from the back of the restaurant. Thought it was weird. Since all the food was out front. I'll be back. Only because I really like the taste of the chicken.
