I can't believe I waited so long to dine at Mucho Gusto... I was so impressed! Our server was excellent and made sure to take his time giving us some menu highlights since it was our first time. Everything we ate was delicious! The nachos were outstanding, some of the best in the area. I love that you have the option of getting your tacos served in lettuce, not everywhere will offer that! We will definitely be back soon! read more

3rd visit in as many years and the place has some good drinks and happy hour specials. Note: Happy Hour is over at 5pm as not to be confused with dinner hour. We arrived at 4:50 and didn't get seated because the hostess was juggling phone calls. Our server didn't arrive at the table until 5:02 and we asked about happy hour. Bottom line we didn't beat the bewitching hr./5pm. They do not offer chips and salsa as a welcome snack. Their food over our past dinings has never been great. Tonight I had a pastor burrito and my wife had a shrimp burrito. Both dishes were meeh with a rubbery like tortilla. The best dish we have had is their bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. We're going to try different dining but if you go, Get those poppers. read more

Go back to the old al pastor taco's please, doesn't taste the same anymore i am very sad

Phenomenal margaritas here. I so infrequently get a flavored marg. It's never real juice. And here it ACTUALLY IS!! And I hate sour mix...none at MUCHO GUSTO Then I got to chatting with the bartender and he made me a blackberry piña marg... my favorite. Can't wait to go back with my husband. read more

Mucho Gusto - Mango margarita - Mexican Near Me - Bel Air, Maryland

It's decently appointed, (chairs are a bit uncomfortable), lots of TVs, but as a single open space it's also noisy. Our waitress was friendly and quick enough, but it did seem to take awhile for our food to come out once ordered and a while for the check when we were done.. (They were busy not packed). It is nice they serve a breakfast/brunch menu - not a lot of Mexican places do that. I ordered the Pollo con Rajas. The onion cream sauce was fantastic, black beans great, rice (arroz blanco) okay- it had great flavor and I don't mind a little crunch, but there's a fine line between crunch and dried out, and this was getting close. My husband said he couldn't complain about his Enchiladas Verde, but he didn't have any glowing response either. Overall, the food isn't bad, it's that it's a bit overpriced for what you get. Free chips and salsa (it is $5, and the chips are fried leftover flour tortillas that either puff and crumble to bits, or burn), or even throwing in a few flour tortillas with a meal with about 5oz of chicken if I'm being generous, would round out the meal, and make you feel you got more of your moneys worth overall. That said, I didn't leave hungry. read more

Mucho gusto is always good, each & time i come. The food is always fresh, hot and tasty. The service was awesome, our server was quick & attentive. We came for lunch when it wasn't so crowded. The decor is super cute, I love the attention to detail and the restaurant is always clean. I also love the patio area and live music when they have it. The margaritas are sooo good, the "house margarita" is my favorite, along with "Taco Tuesday" of which you get five tacos for $15.00 and their happy hour prices are super affordable and the food portions are good! read more

Towson Kenilworth location. The service and food is subpar. Its so disappointing to have 2 taco dinners, one guacamole (not made by the table), 2 drinks, and bad service (ghosted by the waitress). Then have gratuity added to your check for a whopping 95$. Never ever again. Luckily there are real Mexican restaurants that far surpass this overpriced corporate dystopian experience. I'm never making this mistake again. read more

The food is always great at this Mexican restaurant. I want to shout out the service on my recent visit. We had my daughter's 11th birthday party dinner here, and they accommodated 12 girls and did a great job! This place is great for date night and family dinners! Thank you, Mucho Gusto! read more

We tried this restaurant for lunch in a Sunday and it did not disappoint. The menu was great with a nice variety of Mexican cuisine. The appetizers , quesadillas and tacos were excellent. Very fresh, well prepared and good portions. The service was also too notch. The food came quickly and they were on top of everything. They didn't miss a beat here. Also a nice casual dining atmosphere too. The location is sort of remote south of downtown Bel Air. If this place gets crowded, the parking lot may fill up. read more

Mucho Gusto - Interiors at Bar - Mexican Near Me - Bel Air, Maryland

Mucho Gusto felt more like Mucho Decepcionación. I was given a $50 dollar gift card which I thought would surely cover a dinner date for two. That was a joke. When I walked in I immediately knew this was going to be a let down. The cheap metal chairs they have are the same uncomfortable ones my college had. It looks like it was decorated for influencers with a fake vegetation wall with a tacky neon sign perfect for your photo op. For being an expensive restaurant it looked so incredibly cheap and tacky. After we were seated I began to try and figure out what I could afford when one elote, which is an ear of corn with butter, crema, and spices is $8. I got a $15 margarita expecting like most restaurants that it's going to be a big glass. I got this very pretty drink but it was half the size of what I expected. We got a dinner combo (taco and enchilada) and a plate of nachos. The plate of nachos was about the same price as the old Chili's nacho platter, only difference was Chili's was bigger and better. In regard to both dishes there was more onion than there was beef or chicken. Unless you like bougie influencer places with overpriced, bland food and cheap uncomfortable furniture, this isn't worth the visit. read more

Food was just food. Nothing exciting or memorable about it. Seemed to be about as inauthentic a Mexican restaurant as you could find.

AMAZING!!! Boy do I love a good scratch! Not only that, but the workers walked with pleasure.

Let me set the scene: walking into this joint feels like stepping into a Pinterest board dedicated to cool decor. The vibe? Spot-on, like a chill mariachi band just strummed their way into my heart. But hold up, Margaritas, what's the deal? You're charging me top dollar for a drink that's about as strong as a kitten's purr. I mean, I appreciate the effort, but c'mon, I need a little more fiesta in my glass! And don't even get me started on the food journey. Our taquitos? Delicious. Warmth level? About as lukewarm as my enthusiasm for Monday mornings. Then came the tostadas--cool as a cucumber in a snowstorm. I guess it's the restaurant's way of keeping us refreshed? Overall, this place is like that friend who's fun to hang out with but always leaves you wondering why they can't get it together. Would I recommend it? Sure, for a quick bite and a couple of weak-kneed margaritas. Just don't expect a culinary fiesta that'll blow your sombrero off. Rating: 3 stars - for effort and ambience, but someone please turn up the heat in the kitchen and the drinks! read more

Last visited and there were no taquitos (sad face) one of my favorites on the menu. Staple menu items, I don't think knives ever been introduced to specialty items/menu offerings. Great to bring out of town guests when looking for something fast. read more

Visited Mucho gusto for Cinco de mayo celebration this year, figured I'd share some more pictures! Yet again, this place delivered great food. I tried the shrimp tacos for the first time (I wasn't impressed with shrimp fajitas so I stayed away from shrimp tacos for a while) and I am happy to say that it might be the best taco option on the menu. Service is always fast. Even on cinco de mayo, we were able to get a table in 30 minutes (originally told us 45min but got called earlier). Ambiance is always amazing at mucho gusto, live music at their outdoor seating, matched with margaritas/table side guac, it's a fun time. read more

Food is excellent. The guacamole made at your table was delicious. Service was excellent.

VERDICT: Excellent fun date or family spot, especially for the summer. Lots of options and the vibe is killer. ------------------------------------------ FOOD Good! Imo comparable to the good La Tolteca and Banditos, but more varied options. ----APPETIZERS: Chips & Guacamole + Salsa. Guac is fresh made. Kept apps to a minimum to save room for food (portions can be big). Wished I'd brought cash to tip the guac maker. ----MAINS - Ahi Tuna & Baja Mahi (corn) tacos - beef empanadas - quesadillas, chicken & beef - chicken and shrimp fajitas - carne asada entree, - Pollo Chesapeake Ahi Tuna good for smaller and lighter eat. Fajitas and Carne Asada Entree very filling. Empanada was really good, but recommend! ----DRINKS: Pepsi products, mocktails also available for non-alcoholic options. Try "Coco Loco" if you like coconut. SERVICE Prompt, attentive, understanding. There was a small miscommunication with my mom's order; Asked for Baja Mahi but Ahi Tuna was put in; understandable because Ahi & Mahi does sound alike. She quickly fixed. Our main server was consistently on the ball with my whole party of 8 (that was low key annoying me with its indecision, lol.) AMBIANCE Exceeded expectations. Actually very cute set up for photos, indoors and outdoors. Little LED quite and photo space indoors. Live music was playing. They had a funk band called Basitt playing, which I have now become a fan of. (Just the vibe I love.) I guess they have live music at other times too. read more

After initially trying this spot during Happy Hour, we've been back a few times. They're located a bit off the beaten path in a smaller strip of shops. A nice bar area with a good amount of high top tables. Also, a decent sized dining area. We ordered their Nachos with steak. Right amount of cheese to chips ratio and generous amount of seasoned and delicious steak. Shrimp Empanadas & Taquitos were excellent. The Margaritas are a speciality. The Spicy Margarita is one of the best I've had! On another visit, they happened to not have the Birria Tacos so we ordered the Carnitas Tacos and unfortunately they were a miss-the meat wasn't seasoned and lacked flavor. That said we also ordered a Chicken Chimichanga to share and enjoyed it. I would say this is elevated Tex Mex so prices are higher and portions are reasonable but not over the top. Service has been upbeat and friendly on all of our visits. They do get busy for dinner especially on the weekends and atmosphere is loud and upbeat. Brunch is available on Sunday and I saw they have Margaritas to go as well as Tequila and Mezcal flights. Don't miss the Spicy Margarita and Happy Hour! read more

First of all, the restaurant seems empty because we arrived a few minutes after opening. Second, I really like this restaurant. Donna, our waitress, greeted us with a professional demeanor and a big smile. Donna understood the value of indulging customers questions and investing a few minutes in developing a return customer. She was quite patient in dealing with my party as I warned her that I was the only one who orders right off the menu. My daughter's fajitas would have been beautiful and much more delicious if prepared the way the chef intended. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it is safe to say that we will be back. read more

I highly recommend getting the chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy. My steak tacos were well seasoned and tasty. My wife enjoyed the shrimp tacos and would order it again. read more

Had a great experience at Mucho Gusto! I bookmarked this new addition a few months ago and I was not disappointed! When we arrived, our family was warmly greeted by the staff. Getting out with twins that are toddlers, is not the easiest. The hostess took note of this and put us in the semi-private room. I really appreciate her consideration because I was going to request to sit outside just in case they started to get rowdy. #twinmomlife To get the party started we had the Mucho Gusto Margaritas in Mango and Strawberry. They were delicious, not too sweet and strong! I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa that was placed on the table. Sometimes salsa can be bland, but this one was definitely made in house with fresh ingredients. As an appetizer, we had the Queso Fundido with steak. I really enjoyed it! Service on point, good drinks and apps! Now what about the main courses? For my entree, I ordered the Tampiquena. It was a skirt steak with an enchilada, rice and beans. I'm getting hungry all over again writing this! It was so good and cooked medium, super juicy! My husband liked his burrito and the babies ate all of their quesadilla from the kids menu! I really look forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu! read more

Mucho Gusto - Tres Leches (dessert) - Mexican Near Me - Bel Air, Maryland

If there is ever tres leches on the menu, I *have to* order it. I love the extra touches - three flavored syrups, maraschino cherry, pirouline. I think this was the first I've had with a pirouline and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor combination. And probably in love It was a good day when you accidentally crave tacos on #tacotuesday! Seriously a solid deal when you get 5 tacos, one of each meat they offer (shrimp, chicken, steak, carnitas, cochinita pibil). The best part is they are a tad bigger than a standard street taco so all 5 will leave you really full and satisfied. My favorite was the carnitas covered in cilantro. I love guacamole but I loveee fresh guacamole. At @muchogustogroup you can ask for it mild, medium, or spicy. And I'm a #cilantro fan, so I even asked for extra. But what really makes this dish unique is their chips. They are thicker and the right amount of crispy. I dig it because I'm a texture person and because the chip won't snap when scooping I got the Avocado salad with steak. Do it for the dressing! I got a little nervous when they didn't ask me how I like my steak cooked. Happy to say it wasn't over cooked. I'm a medium rare girl. Overall pretty satisfied by the serving size and the combination of ingredients. I appreciate that there is no cheese. I went on a Tuesday at 4pm. But I can imagine this place being a hip place to hang for drinks. Check out the pics for yourself. Because vibe check, it's cool inside and outside. The service was great. I have no reason to complain. The owner even took a pic of me and my friend in front of the neon side. Holy guacamole (yes, that was a dad joke). But seriously, their guac is amazing and I'm not usually a huge fan of guac. So perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of everything. And the queso fundido with chorizo is keto heaven. No tortilla chips needed, I just grabbed a spoon and dug right in lol! I'll definitely be coming back here frequently read more

We found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to have dinner there . It was too cold to sit outside so we got a table inside but spaced far apart , We loved the space and the original art and the food was terrific. There is a great vibe here as well . The food is not Tex Mex which thrilled us having traveled in Mexico we know the difference. Oaxaca style dishes seem to dominate & since this is a well known Mexican cuisine it's a good bet . The portions are generous and prices reasonable. I have Flan for dessert and it was the best I ever had . We look forward to eating here again . read more

I've been wanting to visit this spot for awhile now-- so I stopped by for Happy Hour I know we're here for the food review, but Let's speak aesthetics I love the cute vibes from the time you make it thru the doors, to the openness of this spot, the semi-private section area sooo cute (reservations required) & the bathroom- clean! Happy Hour was nice to try. I started with Nachos (no meat) it was okay, moved on to shrimp empanadas- I wasn't pleased it was over fried & had maybe 4 baby shrimps total. For dessert- which is really why I came I had Churros- not the greatest but good- they tasted refried... & no caramel sauce only chocolate. For my drink I had a Swinging Señorita (off regular drink menu). It was DELICIOUS! All in all, I give 5 for the experience/fast service/great customer service. Happy Hour 4 but I'll still return for it. I'll definitely be back to try out their dinner menu & of course for more drinks!! read more

very nice atmosphere. Tucked away location but I feel as if it's a bit convenient and it is well spaced out. Pretty friendly servers and we got a tableside guac so the person that came to make the guacamole was pretty friendly as well. As far as the food, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place over other Mexican restaurants in the area. I felt as if the Mexican food was lacking a lot of flavor. the guacamole was very bland, was lacking onion, salt, cilantro, lime... pretty much anything that makes up guacamole. it was pretty bland. I got a burrito. I thought it was a little weird that it came with a side salad. I did not like that we did not get chips and salsa at the table by default-- like most conventional Mexican restaurants give you. You have to pay an extra four dollars (?) for mediocre chips.. the salsa was pretty good. Back to the main dish: The burrito was lacking flavor. it wasn't the worst but it was probably a 6 out of 10. The steak was good. In the burrito, it had the common toppings and the cheese was definitely prominent and went well. Plating was also nice! The queso dip was not very good the texture was off it's not your average queso. not to mention with the guacamole in the case so we still had to ask for extra chips because the one basket that we had already paid for was not enough and I guess you don't get refills on chips either. It was also pretty expensive for everything considering I was so underwhelmed. This place is far from authentic but works if you want something trendy/convenient. Reminds me a bit of tex mex. All in all I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to this restaurant.. but I would probably take out a burrito if it was the only thing available or if it was the closest to where I was at at the time. read more
