Food is fine but I've never heard of being charged for tomatoes or sour cream on tacos. i've always found lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and salsa or sour cream to be common toppings on tacos. it's like being charged for mustard and ketchup on a hamburger. And given the prices they charge for a couple of tacos and a side of beans, it's really crazy. read more

I ordered this the other day for takeout. It was a little pricey. I ordered the pico del gallo, which was the driest pico I have ever had. It wasn't the greatest. And for the price of $4 for a little cup. The salsa on the side was a little spicy but really good. I was really excited for the soup, it had chicken, rice and vegetables, with tortilla chips and avocado for the topping. It was not soup... the rice sucked up all the liquid. But it was really really good! That was my favorite but I wish it would have been "soup". The last thing I got was the primo beef burrito and chicken chimi. I couldn't even see what it was it was all mushed together under the sides. You couldn't really identify what it was. Everything was flat. It was okay, kind of sweet tasting. I was not crazy about this dish. Overall everything was okay. The soup was the best even though it wasn't soup anymore when it arrived. read more

Food was yummy and fresh! The margs are good and come in a few flavors and you can do a salt or sugar rim! Lots of seating and parking outside. Service was okay, but also they were a bit busy so that might have been why it took a while for us to order. Overall a good place for lunch or dinner and we will be back! read more

Went here after a 12hr shift with 4 coworkers, so 5 total, went in around 8pm on a Thursday night. Was seated immediately. We mostly just got alcoholic drinks. Got two orders of chips & queso. I got 2 glasses of chardonnay, about $5/each. My coworker got 3 "Pomelos", about $11/each. Other coworker got 3 beers (unsure of cost). Another one got 1 orange crush, about $9. The other one got i believe two orange crushes. In total, it was $101 for 5 people who all got drinks, and 2 queso and chips. Good service, fast, clean restaurant, no complaints. It's a great spot for drinks after work. I had a lot of fun! My only SLIGHT complaint is that it's a tad pricey, but not horrible. read more

The parking spots are plentiful, the location is quite clean, but the food isn't completely authentic. I had chicken fajitas and my friends had carnitas and chicken chorizo. I got take out from here a couple years ago and was not impressed. It stopped me from wanting to go back. However, we tried it again in February of this year and it was so good I've been back twice since then. The queso, guacamole, salsa and chips are all very delicious. The Caesar salad is surprisingly very good, I mean it did originate in Mexico but still not something you see on a lot of Mexican restaurant menus. And it's served with an equally delicious chicken quesadilla which makes all other Caesars kinda lame in comparison. The service is quick and adequate, not overly friendly or attentive but still good. The ambiance is pretty typical for this type of restaurant but that's not a bad thing. It's well lit and clean, all I can really ask for. I probably still wouldn't recommend this place for take out but if you're going to dine in, it's a great spot. read more

I wasn't hungry, the wife wanted to eat so I joined. I ordered veggie enchiladas, I would never order that if I was hungry. They were surprisingly fantastic! The "Taco Veganos" were pretty good. Other vegetarian options looked pretty good too. Staff was friendly enough. The chips were fine, and the salsa okay. They only give you a tiny serving, maybe a quarter of a cup, but if you ask for more that adds to the price. read more

Came here for dinner, it was good but not great. To start we had the staple, chips and salsa. I was impressed with the salsa and the chips were good, not too greasy. I then ordered a coronarita. Which is usually where they serve you a mix of margarita and a corona flipped upside down into the corona. I asked if they made them and our server said "yes!". I was then served a regular margarita, and a full sized corona... ha. Next I ordered the Tacos Al Asado with chicken. They were good, but not great. I feel like for Mexican style tacos they lacked flavor. My favorite thing I had for the night I believe was the steamed veggies, they were incredibly good. I could have eaten a whole plateful of them!! In terms of service it was very slow. They seemed to be very busy with both dine in and dine out, which I understand. However, usually Mexican food is a quick dinner stop. Our waiter was very pleasant and friendly, despite many complaints from those taking out. All in all I wanted to give Ècho Frezco a try. It didn't blow me out of the water, and the bill came out pretty pricey for what we ordered. I'm not sure if I will be back anytime soon. Went in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the portions and flavors of our dishes. Ordered mango margaritas on the rocks which were standard. Chicken and chorizo smothered in echo sauce was delicious. Also pork season in salsa verde was excellent. Will be going back again soon to try other dishes. read more

The atmosphere is great! The drinks and food were marvelous. I ordered a Paloma (tequila, lime juice and grapefruit soda) and steak tacos (Tacos Al Asado - Steak). I'm a huge fan of Mexican cuisine so when I found this place I was like YES!! We went for my birthday dinner and I was expecting it to be just like La Tolteca, which I love. Well it was better! Everything seemed so fresh (hence the name) and homemade, even the refined beans. The staff was very friendly although for the place being empty the waiter wasn't very attentive, but with food like this I didn't care. I will say this place may be a little too authentic for Bel Air. It's not just a typical Mexican restaurant menu. Their prices are a little higher but it's worth it for the freshness. I'll start with the bad. Your new menu is horrible. The print is so small that even my kids, in their 20's, had a difficult time reading it. Also, the colors used for printing the meal number, such as C33, for a burrito, do not have enough contrast to be distinguished enough from the background color of the menu. Overall, this is the worse printed menu I've ever seen. Fire the graphic art company that designed it and go back to your old menu. With that being said, everything else about this place is top notch. Service is always on point. The food is some of the best Mexican food offered in the area. The food here is amazing! Hands down the best local Mexican eatery we have found. My favorite is the chile rellenos. It's hard to find restaurants that make them well. You're usually served the quick and easy version of them that aren't nearly as good. Not here though! OMG these things are to die for. Food is delicious but not authentic Mexican. The salsa green verde over chicken breast is spicy but the chicken is well tenderly cooked. Well seasoned food but doesn't have the Mexican flavoring taste. Great cozy atmosphere and would recommend a place to try. At least once. Tried E'cho for the first time today with the family as we heard good things about it. I must say this is probably one of the best places to go to in the area. Nice new restaurant with great food and great service. The Mexican food here just feels and tastes authentic. Our waiter was excellent! Something you don't see very often. They earned a repeat customer with us. Try to the Combo meal where you can choose 2/3 items. Great deal! Our daughter loved her Mac & Cheese with white queso. Hidden gem, went here for lunch. Have been by them countless times, first time in. Service was great, restaurant was clean, the food was excellent. In the Bel Air area, if a restaurant is not a typical chain, it should immediately get at least 3 stars. I was not expecting to love E'cho Frezco but I really did. It was busy on a Friday at 5pm but we did not have to wait. The chips and salsa are yummy! My daughter loved her cheese quesadilla (& ate the entire thing - a major win with a 5 year old). I had a chorizo and chicken burrito that was giant and really good! My husband got the grilled chicken and shrimp and he really liked it. We both had enough leftovers to eat it again the next day. We got the Nutella brownie as well which was good (& it takes 5% off your bill as an added bonus). The service was great as well. We will definitely be returning! read more

We used to enjoy eating here on occasion but they have skimped beyond belief on the portion sizes...they do not even come close to justify the price. 9.99 for guacamole that was good for maybe a dollar per dip. Poor service. The food was good, service was not. The waitress, Kirsten was helpful suggesting a menu item that was not too spicy. When our food arrived - that was the last time we saw Kirsten. My quesadilla was nowhere to be found, thus the order was not correct as part of what I ordered was not served with the other dishes. Then, Kirsten did not bother to stop back to see if everything was satisfactory. We never saw her the entire time we ate. Finally, we had to flag down someone else to ask for our waitress to come to the table. By that time, I no longer wanted the quesadilla. It was a shame because the food was good. We would have ordered more drinks and possibly dessert, but we didn't have the opportunity to get another drink because Kirsten never bothered to check on our table. I wanted to love this place. The ambiance and decor is wonderful. Our server was very friendly and gave appropriate attention to our table. Unfortunately, food was just ok. I ordered carnitas, black beans and a guac salad. The meat was similar to beef which had been stewed. The meat was not browned and was not tender. The entire dish was extremely salty. The guac salad was a small dish of guacamole with some shredded lettuce, onions and diced tomatoes on the side of the dish. I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon. We have visited this place twice and everything is delicious! The wait staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The portions are huge and the prices are considerably cheap, especially when most of the entree's have two side options! We will definitely be coming back to try their extensive menu. Today we ordered the lunch special chicken Chimichanga with flour tortilla. It came with pico de Gallo, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. As our two sides I had the refríed beans and veggies!
