The loaded fries were a unanimous hit (my 16-year-old declared them the best he's ever had, which is not a claim he makes lightly). The fried chicken was perfectly breaded, juicy, and had just the right kick of spice. The fish was excellent. The mac and cheese uses noodles with real substance and a sauce that's genuinely creamy, not gluey. Our friends got the bao buns and were equally impressed. Service was attentive and fast without being hovering. Refills came before we had to ask. The outdoor seating is relaxed and unpretentious, and they had squeaky chicken toys that kept the younger kids entertained the whole time. This place deserves a line out the door. I tried it, and I think the problem was that the sauce was barely noticeable. Instead, I just tasted soggy arugula. The Naked Hen is exactly that. A dry chicken piece in a sandwich with nothing else. My son wanted this, and upon eating it realized that maybe some kind of sauce probably would've been a better idea. But if you want plain, this one is for you! Fries were good. Not bad, not memorable. Overall, a cool little spot with good chicken sandwiches and sides.
