Food over environment. Stopped here for a late breakfast while in town for the weekend. The restaurant reminds me of a bar that was repurposed. Plenty of military iconography, tributes to those who served, etc. but placed over top of odd teal colors and glittery black walls. The General himself sat us at a table and we put in a drink order: mine a coffee and chocolate milk. The server was a foreign girl who was very friendly and smiled at us - stayed very attentive to our table. I ordered the pancake combo meal which came with 2 eggs and scrapple. Like a moron I was too hellbent on eating I forgot to take a pic of the plate. I will say the chocolate milk was high-test, like drinking a chocolate bar. I appreciated it. The food was good - pancakes large and the scrapple a large slice. The value in terms of food to spend is very favorable, would recommend here.

Always a great breakfast, today I had the House Specialty creamed chipped beef, it was delicious! Our waitress Aliya was great !!! Cozy atmosphere, proud to support police!!!

Awesome service and food . Very veteran friendly place to go. You'll notice that as soon as you walk in the door. Very cool place. It's all veteran and first responder themed decor. I'll be back. I guarantee it.

Standing in front of the new (ish) location - over on 66th Street! Perfect sunny day, too! haha

Good ole' General's Kitchen! I have been coming to OC ALL my life and, since my 20s, my family has had a place in Ocean Pines. Over the course of 25 years, I kept telling myself.. yeah - I'll try it, I'll try it... welp, yelp (hehe) I finally did and OH MY GOODNESS!!! How do you all do it? You offer these EPIC meals starting at like $8?! For $12.50, I got egg whites (they did not charge extra - which is good bc I find the extra charge a bit strange bc egg whites cost less than eggs in the store, so, THANK YOU for making SENSE! haha) and turkey sausage (again nothing extra, money-wise) and delicious FRESH breakfast potatoes .. and - GET THIS - Coffee and Orange juice is included! What?!?! NO other place in-town OC offers so much for so little $! The quality is worth much more (not saying you SHOULD charge more - haha - but saying it's too good to be so inexpensive)! Lastly, my husband was in the Marine Reserves for 8 years - so, I have to say, I really loved the nod to Military appreciation theme of the interior (picture Mission BBQ but as a breakfast place as your vibe). Thank you for this great experience - I have told everyone I know to try it! Two of my close friends and I came in a few weeks ago and we all had a wonderful (and delicious time). Would SOOOO TOTALLY recommend! :)

Had breakfast here on a short trip to OCMD. Was not disappointed! Apparently the chipped beef gravy is a huge deal because everyone was ordering it but I don't eat meat so it wasn't for me. I had a yummy mushroom and cheese omelette, really good hash browns and a light and fluffy biscuit. This place is Veteran owned and the decor honors them and I like that. They had Fox News on the tv but the volume was down and I will look beyond it, even though I think it's lies and propaganda, because I was hungry. Even though they were short staffed and very busy, we sat at the bar and the staff was very nice. We talked to four regulars who were also super friendly. All around good place. Highly recommend.

The Western special! 8oz steak and eggs. Fantastic!

A good short-order cook is hard to find, but the General has one! I saw the special, figured why not and went for it. Cooked to a perfect medium, w/o any input from me, and it was melt in your mouth fantastic. I've been to steakhouses that didn't cook a steak this well. We were redirected here after another location was booked, and I'm happy about it. We've been here before. It's always solid, accommodating, and quite impressive. Chipped beef if great, omelets, pancakes, etc. Consistent, impressive and reliable.

Chicken fried steak special

Excellent service, food and value. I love a good chicken fried steak and this place is top-notch. The eggs over easy were perfect, and they have rye toast here! The hashbrowns were average, but everything else was fantastic, including the military/law enforcement decor. Love this place.

With all the options of restaurants for breakfast in OC this is by far the best one. Waitstaff is exceptional and you won't leave hungry or disappointed.

The wait sucked a little but the food was definitely worth it. I feel like the wait staff was annoyed by our indecisiveness which was annoying to me. The food came quick and it was delicious but I just didn't love the attitude of our waiter, who I won't publicly shame here. The food is great and it's a cool restaurant dedicated to memorializing veterans and fallen hero's which is great. I'll come back and hope for a different server next time.

Veterans hats.

Family feel and great food. The waitress was amazing. Dad felt very at home as he sat at the memorial wall with all the hats behind him. As a veteran, he loves to share his stories with the wait staff. First time at this restaurant and made 2 trips back that week.

Looked forward to the chipped beef only to be disappointed! The hash browns were greasy and the sausage was questionable.

I have not eaten one bad thing here and am convinced it is the best breakfast spot in town! The lobster benedict (often one of their specials) is tender, flavorful, and delicious; and their Captain Crunch french toast (one of their regular menu items) is amazing and doesn't even need the melba sauce it is served with on the side. I tried a bite of their corn pancake special, which was also very good, not overly sweet, and paired well with the mango salsa; and my mom had their Angel food cake French toast with berries and melba sauce, which she enjoyed very much. They also have a number of different mimosa selections. I had a pineapple mimosa the first time and a passionfruit one the second and both were equally delicious and again, not overly sweet. It gets very busy on the weekends but whenever we have had to wait, it was never longer than ten minutes. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area as there is something for everyone and the food is consistently amazing!

The waitress did suggest that the portion sides are big and we probably should do one savory and one sweet... and me being the one with the sweet tooth, I had laser focus dedication to get the seafood crepe... my wife got the Seafood Ariel and later we realized they're more or less the same thing except one is lumped on top of breakfast potatoes and the other is lumped o a crepe with old bay. Sharing with my wife was pointless ugh... should have listened to the waitress. The serving size is really large but the seafood did taste that well seasoned but the crepes was sweet and balanced. Really should have gotten something sweet. I really did love the decor. They did really go hard with the pink and strawberries but I completely loved it. Next time I come back definitely with get something more sweet. Oh the freshly squeezed grapefruit is delicious.

Customer Service: Hands down the best we experienced during our 9-day family trip to OCMD. Karri, our waitress, made us feel like family, loved her. Jeff & Mike were professional, friendly, and made a point to engage with every table. Breakfast? PHENOMENAL. Best we've had, not just this summer, but in all our years visiting OCMD. My wife and son agree. Everything was homemade and cooked to order. No frozen shortcuts. Portions were just right, flavors balanced beautifully, and nothing overly sweet. Nashville Hot Stuffed French Toast: The bourbon and caramelized apples stole the show. Chicken was a fun twist, though next time I'd get it on the side to keep the sweet and spicy separate. You can skip the chicken altogether and save $4 if you'd like. Banana Foster French Toast: Mind-blowing. The kind of dish that makes you question everything you've ever called "breakfast." Plate was licked clean. Already dreaming of it for summer 2026. Creamed Chipped Beef over Biscuits: Shared this one. Generous portion, nostalgic flavor, clearly a recipe passed down and perfected. Triple Decker: My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, huge portion, perfect texture, and he loved every bite. Only minor con: straws come unwrapped in your drink. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Final score: 25/25. Solid A+. Verdict: Highly recommended. We'll be back in summer 2026, no question.

We saw some good ratings and gave this place a shot and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff who helped us make the right selection. From blueberries, strawberries, kiwi, watermelons, apples, bananas, and others, all the fruits were fresh and perfectly ripe. The pancakes were very large and just one would have been more than enough for two people it seems but they even added berries for my son on them. The veggie hash had lots of potential. It was cooked well, however, lacked seasoning. It seemed slightly bland and I had to utilize ketchup to give it some identity. However, the quality and variety of veggies inside was great.
