I came to liquid assets for a solo dinner while traveling for work because as my previous review says, this place is a must. Cindy was my waitress this visit and she was wonderful. Friendly, prompt and helpful. I ordered the baked oysters and they were absolutely delicious. The chimichurri that came with them was a true standout for me. I loved these oysters. I also ordered the lamb burger. It had some five spice in it and a unique flavor. It was also perfectly cooked and very fresh. Overall a fantastic visit. Liquid assets does it again. Absolutely amazing! This place was relaxed and yet elevated. The service was wonderful and the food was even better. We had the seafood pot pie (huge serving) and the scallop cacio de pepe with angel hair pasta. Dessert was out of this world. The seating throughout allowed for groups to sit at couches to enjoy charcuteries, sit at the bar, or at table tops. Now, intersperse that with seating, at tables and converted liquor barrels, along with a separate room that is only tables, and that's the Liquid Assets layout. For our visit, late on a Wednesday evening, we had a Margarita, a Flower Child (one of their specialty drinks, my wife is a sucker for elderflower), and split an order of wings. We have come to OC every year for my whole life and we only learned of Liquid assets last year and it immediately became one of our favorite spots, we make it a point to come here once or even twice on every trip. Everything we've ever ordered has been amazing, and the bartenders are always top-tier -- friendly, knowledgeable, and they make the BEST drinks. Their wide awake is my absolute favorite rendition of an espresso martini anywhere, especially with the warm milk foam on top -- it's next level. The calamari is delicious, unlike I've had anywhere else, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also had an incredible tasting board there once that I still think about. The ambiance is such a vibe -- cool, low lighting with a slightly rustic feel that makes it perfect for date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. A must see in Ocean City for food lovers. I wish I got a photo of our chorizo sausage and kale salad too because that's what really set off our meal. Everything we ordered was creative and each dish felt so perfectly melded together. I would LOVE to go to Ocean City again literally to go to this restaurant. I think my favorite was the Lamb burger and the kale salad. Also, had so many wine options and beer and also nonalcoholic beers available. I loved the rustic and lively feel of the place. And our waitress was amazing, attentive but not overbearing. She made the experience so great. Also I'm not a big dessert person and I also don't like caramel but I tried the doughnut ice cream sandwich and it was AMAZING. Perfect for someone like me who loves savory desserts and it didn't feel overly caramely. So we came here because i passed a big exam today. We wanted to do alittle dinner celebration and Honestly im pretty unimpressed. Since the moment we sat down we had ordered drinks and calamari. It took about 45 minutes to get the calamarie (mind you its the begining of april... its not busy) we had to remind our server about it and her excuse was "the ticket was lost". Then they bring out our waygu steak, mind you one of the most expensive items on the menu and they cant even keep it warm while its on our way to us. I think i had 1 piece of steak that was actually warm. Fries were great and they had a great hazy IPA. But the service was terrible and the fact they cant keep their waygu warm is unbelievable to me. Everything was amazing; however, the true five-star rating is due to the DESSERT. F****** amazing. Get them all. Do not leave without trying SOMETHING on the dessert menu. Such a sweet and delicious combination. As for dinner I got the potato soup and asparagus on the side. The soup was ok, nothing too special about it. The asparagus was tasty! The pesto and cheese flakes on top really added some flavor. For a drink I got the huckleberry mule and that was a refreshing option. We were seated and served fairly fast! It's been several years, but coming back with a daughter after Asssateague and Liquid Assets did not disappoint. We showed up at 5:20 p.m. in early March, so there was plenty of room, but by the time we left, the place was pretty full - on a Tuesday night! The waitress suggested we try the Caesar salad, saying it's the best she's ever had. I generally don't go for Caesar because it's boring, but this was amazing! She recommended the shortrib potpie which was SO RICH and SO LARGE! My daughter loved it. I went for fish, which was definitely the least interesting, but most healthy of our choices. I really like Liquid Assets. It is something a bit different. It's a fine wine store with a fine dining restaurant, and all at the beach!! I've eaten there a few times and sat at the bar both times. The food and service is excellent and friendly. This most recent time I had an old fashioned drink and the elevated grilled cheese. Very good! But they have more traditional entrees as well. We had this place pigeon-holed as a great place for drinks and appys at the bar. The cheese boards can make your whole week better in just a few bites. One night we stopped in and ordered off of the dinner menu and were just blown away. The server knew the menu inside and out, made suggestions and when my rockfish wasn't perfect, he replaced the entire meal. The donut dessert sounds ridiculous. It is amazing. You taste the bourbon in the caramel, the hot donuts next to the cold ice cream is magical. I dont do a ton of desserts, but man, we scarfed down every single calorie - worth it! read more

Every visit to Liquid Assets is unique and enjoyable. From a quick stop at the end of the evening for desserts & a nightcap, to a complete dining experience, we love this popular spot in OCMD. Our favorite drink to enjoy is the Wide Awake espresso martini. Our server, Emma provided excellent service last night for our girls night out. We were surprised to learn it was her first night serving and she was fantastic. Very personable and easy going. We started our meal with several apps: Tuna Crisps, Baked Mussels, Fresh Bread, Caesar Salad and Baked Mushrooms. For our main entrees, we enjoyed Pan Seared Monkfish, Pan Seared Jumbo Shrimp Risotto and I had the Angus Short Rib French Onion Pot Pie. Each dish was loaded with flavor and artfully presented. The only minor issue is that when the entrees came, they were not all delivered together and everyone waited an extra 5 minutes to begin eating because the Short Rib was delayed in getting to the table. The calamari was amazing. Not sure what sauce they're putting on it but I just kept wanting to eat it. The breading was a very light batter so nothing heavy. Then we moved on to the entrees. We got the cornbread - had to have after reading the reviews. OMG! So good. My sister got the flounder. She said it was really good. It came with a kale salad but we saved most of that to take back to the condo for leftovers. I had the crab cakes which came with grilled asparagus and French fries. The fries were limp at best but had a nice flavor. They would have been better crisp. The crab cakes were okay. They weren't anything special but they were pricey. We got the three donuts with blueberry sauce for dessert. It was tasty and the donuts had a very nice light crispness to them. The sauce changes seasonally so you might get something different. The service was excellent. Rob was very helpful and always seemed available when we needed something. When our dinner was ready we still had calamari dishes in front of us so there was some juggling that had to be done but that went smooth enough. We had about a 20 minute wait. There is a private parking lot and they do not take reservations. You can do call ahead seating until 6:30. After that you need to show up. While we were waiting we were checking out some of the wines they had for sale. I found a nice bottle of Cabernet for $14.99. We saw some VERY expensive wines. We looked them up on the Vivino app and the prices were usually in line with the app in the sense that both would be high - usually within $100 - sometimes within $20. The prices at the restaurant were a bit higher but the app was helpful in explaining all about the wine. Rob explained that since we were eating there, we could purchase a bottle at 10% off. I had never heard of a lot of these wines but they all seemed to be very highly rated. read more

We chose to dine here on our last night in OCMD. The place has a great atmosphere with a fun concept, and we were excited to try it. While there wasn't a children's menu, the manager was very attentive and informed us of the options available for kids, so we were ready to proceed. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. Our waiter took over 30 minutes to take our drink orders and seemed to ignore our table, even as he engaged warmly with others. My husband eventually had to ask if we could place our order. The waiter didn't seem to acknowledge the lengthy wait, but we assumed it was a simple mistake. Until he continued to ignore our table. Repeatedly. It took an unusually long time to receive our appetizers and entrees (about another 40 min+) When my son's meal finally arrived, it was the wrong dish--a deluxe grilled cheese instead of the kid's version he ordered, which added another 15-minute wait to correct. We were almost charged for the incorrect item as well. Some of the food was good. The baked oysters were yummy and the calamari was very different but refreshing and had a nice kick, but our burgers were not served hot, and the fries were slightly undercooked. After spending nearly three hours there, for just 2 appetizers and 4 entrees we left feeling quite disappointed. read more
