Went there for a soft shell crab sandwich and the place didn't disappoint. The crab didn't have any seafood smell which means it's pretty fresh. The crab is nice and crunchy. I like that they didn't add a tonne or crap that would have taken away from the crab. Just lettuce and tomato on a hamburger bun. They offered ketchup for the fries but we didn't want it. Oh and the fries. They were perfect. Freshly made. Crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. My friend asked chips as a substitute but got fries instead. But the staff was so nice, he didn't want to send it back. Plus the fries turned out great anyway. If you ever want to take a slight diversion from the boardwalk but don't want to go too far, want fresh food, pleasant service and some ceiling fans(haha) on a hot day, this is the place to go.

We went here for lunch. We ordered a cheeseburger, chicken fingers, meatball sub, and a cheeseburger club. Food was decent. The downfall was the service. Our waitress was slow and she took our order and never returned after serving us our food. We asked for a box and a bag to take home leftovers for our dogs. We had to ask three times for the bag. So the best thing of the whole lunch were the fries. Don't think we will go back.

Service was shotty food was disgusting and old. Didn't check on us after serving the old nasty sub and we left

This meal is not worth $19.00

WARNING! Their website menu prices are waaaay off. The price for a steak omelet shows $12.99 on the online menu. When I got their, they told me it costs $19.00. My omelet was super thin with barely any filling or steak. The steak was dry and chewy. The home fries were soggy with a weird after-taste. Not cool guys! I'm okay with paying more money for quality food, but this was a disappointment.

My bacon egg and cheese on white toast w/lettuce and tomatoes....delicious. Home fries are great, better w/onions and cheddar cheese.

The restaurant was mostly empty so this was a mostly locals happy hour crowd for sure. Regular customer next to me pronounced the seasoned bartender the greatest of all time. We ordered a couple of house margaritas ($6.50) which came in a pint glass and were plenty strong. Only needed one of those! First up, crab dip. It came in a massive vessel, bubbling hot and lots of bread. This dish was so large I ate the leftovers three times. Big chunks of crab in a standard rich base. I brought rice crackers, but husband liked this plain bread better than the oily garlic toast that accompanied the mussels. Mussels were a big pile, with toast, in a mild broth. Not spectacular but a solid presentation. And finally, the boiled shrimp with old bay. Burning our fingers in our eagerness to peel and eat these babies, we got our fill for $10. Their cocktail sauce had an excellent texture, better than just ketchup and horseradish like some bars. Anyway, nice job and very economical! Bartender seemed disappointed we didn't need refills on drinks, but tomorrow is another day! Thanks for the hospitality, Coins!

I usually can only tolerate Buxy's for one drink and have to leave because of the sensory overload. The sensory overload is a combination of the loud background noise, bright lights, and intense visual stimuli. (Including pics) LOL My friend and I went B4 the OC parade , and b4 the " after parade party" started with the live band , and it was relatively laid back. We shared the " corned beef Primanti " on sour dough , which was surprisingly good. The menu did say it was thick cut brisket , the more tender corned beef is the "point cut" . The meat was a bit tough and chewy so I cut it up into small pieces and it was much better. I removed the fries so the bread didn't get soggy , and kept the coleslaw and we both agreed this was a really good sandwich. I definitely want to come back again and try more of "Burgh food " items like the pierogis, Pittsburgh salad, and kielbasa but in the OFF peak hours .

The host staff, servers, and management were great and very accommodating. The food was great. They offered there unique twist on dishes. I had the mussels. I went with the Cobia. There were 4 cooking/pairing types. I selected cajun style. Blackened Cobia, andouille sausage, over dirty rice, with vegetable medley. Medley included peppers, okra, and celery. Great all around flavor. Food was overall fantastic. I will say service was a bit slow but Mrs. April was great getting things turned around. We walked from our hotel and checked in about 15min before our reservation, and were immediately sat. Don't seem overly busy which is never a good thing in a vacation destination. We were sat along the windows and put in a drink order. I got an old fashioned which was fine. I ordered the cream of crab soup as a starter. Soup was solid, but the flavor was pretty lacking. As my entree I went with the bleu cheese encrusted steak. I ordered it medium-well, which is what you do at a place that doesn't have steak in its name or isn't billed as a steakhouse. That way when the undercook it (as most do) it'll be the preferred medium temp. Anyway, the steak came out and WAS NOT encrusted. The potatoes that were served with it were very good but undercooked and slimy. The vegetables looked just forced and were thrown on the plate to add color not flavor. Our waitress Devin was nice, but she could tell the kitchen wasn't providing a good meal. We skipped dinner and went to Dumser's. Meh - wouldn't go back.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater. They don't skimp on their air-conditioning. It was a cool night so we ate outside which was nice, but what made it nicer was our wonderful waitress, Fanika(?), who had the most awesome, helpful, outgoing personality that makes a dining experience that much better. And she was right about the coconut espresso martini. It was delicious! Our main motivation for visiting was to see Jordan and Cowan, both of whom previously worked at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. Jordan noticed us first and came over to say hello and share an update, and Cowan followed shortly after to do the same. I enjoyed two Sazeracs on the rocks for $10 each; unique to Hooked, this iconic New Orleans cocktail is a spirit-forward blend of Elijah Craig rye whiskey, aromatic bitters, a sugar cube, and an absinthe rinse, finished with a bright lemon twist. We also shared the happy hour wood-fired grilled oysters Reggiano with butter, garlic, blackening parmesan cheese, and salt for $19, though they tasted very salty. Additionally, I had the happy hour lobster roll on a toasted buttered brioche roll for $21, substituting the french fries with a side of coleslaw. It tasted quite similar to the lobster roll at Off The Hook in Bethany Beach. I finished my meal with a happy hour draft Evo Lot 3 beer for $6. Our bartender, Jon L., served us very well throughout the visit. The total bill was $128 excluding gratuity, which featured a 3% credit card surcharge of $3.57. After applying a $50 gift letter discount, the final bill was reduced down to $81. We all agreed that we will certainly return to visit Jordan and Cowan again.
