We came a little after they opened since we had a large party of 11. The place was very nicely decorated and clean. The service was amazing. We saw on their menu that they suggested sharing dishes, and with good reason. The plates were massive! My husband and I shared one of their omelets, which came with its own crepe. They also gave an extra crepe on another plate so we could split the meal easier. We also got their fresh squeezed OJ, which was absolutely amazing! So fresh and pulpy; I was ready to order another before I saw that they were over $5 a glass. I would highly recommend it as well as the whole establishment for dining out!
YUPPPP this place is ALWAYS a must when i come to oc. the fruit crepes are unbelievable and gives me 2 full meals everytime. the whipped cream being homemade is the best part of the meal
Bayside is a tradition for us. The strawberries or mixed berries with Chantilly Cream is such a great way to start the day. Been waiting MONTHS for our vacation, so I could get the Seafood Crepes They did NOT disappoint WAIT staff were friendly and helpful. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so you can view the bay. Haven't tried the newer outdoor bar seating yet, but it looks fun. They have a great selection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies, as well as pretty cups.
Decorations and aesthetics were wonderful, this place definitely is nice. We struggled to find parking pulling up to the place, but our group of 4 was quickly sat. The place was very busy, as expected. We started off with some coffee, not much flavour to it, but that's alright. The Potatoes Ariel was this first dish that we had ordered, I was shocked at the lack of flavour despite there being a generous portion of seafood. It definetly needed salt, pepper, ketchup and/or hot sauce which we were trying to ask for but couldn't get the attention of our server for awhile. It was a bit discouraging because usually hot sauce and ketchup would have been offered especially when a dish is commonly known to be less seasoned or condiments are frequently requested with the dish. The Can't Beach That Omelette had a nice flavour with the turkey sausage. The Dirty Banana Royale was a hit. The size is large, mostly made up of whipped cream for the body to look more voluptuous. It's nice for photos, if you're looking for that. Didn't taste much of the caramelized banana butter, but the wilbur chocolate was nice to pair with the bananas and strawberries. The seafood crepe was our winner, the white sauce complimented the large amount of seafood in the crepe, this dish was miles better than the Potatoes Ariel. I would definitely reccomend this place if you like a more clean eat. There is generous amounts of seafood in the dishes that reflect on the pricing of the dishes. I feel that depth of flavour could be worked on, or additional seasonings. I wish I could taste the seafood in the dishes! Service was a bit hard to reach although it is understandable with how busy it gets!
We haven't been to Bayside Skillet in a few years, and drove all the way from our hotel in Fenwick to get brunch. We sat outside at the bar and Kathleen was our bartender. We ordered strawberry mimosas, and split the seafood omlette and strawberry crepes. We could drink our drinks and look at the view while enjoying our brunch. The omelette was full of huge chunks of shrimp, crab and scallops. The server brought it out on 2 plates because we were sharing. The strawberry crepes were full of ripe, juicy, luscious strawberries. The staff is always so friendly, and they even offered us a piece of birthday cake. We declined because we were already sugared up from the crepes but how nice. Bayside did not disappoint and was worth the trip!
The service is efficient and friendly. Great staff. The place is cute and clean. We were seated quickly despite how busy the place was. The food was solid - the omelet needed salt but hot sauce did the trick. We also tried the candied bacon - delicious and I would recommend.
Friendly fast service however got a bacon omelette today and understand maybe a little salty but took like 4-5 bites and couldn't finish it. Told the waitress and she was there's nothing she could do about it. Asked for a manager but stated no one was available. They get very busy. Prices are a bit high but you get a lot of food. Party with my had fruit crepes which was amazing!! Apple,peach,&strawberry. Side of home fries were amazing as well. Wish could have given a better rating but have to be honest. Sitting by the bay was a plus as well....
We got outdoor seating which was nice. Not too noisy in April. You must have their freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice!!! It is definitely worth the price. Portions are large. The only complaint I have is that they forgot to bring out the crepe that went with my boyfriend's dish.
We come here everytime we come down to ocean city because it's just that good. We're early risers, so we're usually there before 9am and there's no wait, but by the time we leave, the lot is always full but it's huge inside and outside so I'm sure the wait wouldn't be too bad. We've also come during the winter months and the food is just as delicious and the people are just as kind. We love the constant coffee refills and we always have more than enough to take home. This time we sat outside and felt the nice breeze from the bay which was perfect the perfect way to start the weekend!
The food and the service were great!! Can't wait to come back and enjoy bayside skillet again.
Amazing service! The omelette was subpar, but the drinks were amazing, and the strawberries and chantilly cream were really good! Went during off season so it wasn't very busy, but I'd definitely revisit. Plenty more options on the menu to explore.
Breakfast on a Saturday morning while celebrating Peppies being called to marriage. Usually this place is a total ant hill with everyone scrambling for a seat. They don't do reservations so there's going to be a wait. With us having 8, I expected 20-30min. Our name was called in 4 minutes of waiting. Which may be a modern miracle. Ordered some coffees and morning beverages to start. I ordered the bacon and cheese omelet and Peppies and I shared the Jalapeno home fries. Really liked those - like nachos but a crispy potato coin. Omelet was good and came with a crepe as the sidecar. Inside is very large with seating around the outside as well. Pink exotic colors and decor, loud but not over the top. Come early, expect a wait, and enjoy some good food to start your day.
Came here on the off season for breakfast with the girls. First of all, the place is so adorable. Pink is my favorite color and the strawberries everywhere were so cute. We were seated immediately and someone came to take our drink order. I got the wake up call (coconut rum, pineapple juice, OJ). The drink was delicious and came with a nice thick slice of orange and a piece of pineapple on the rim. For my meal, I got the potatoes Tara (Pan-fried potatoes with bacon, onions, mushrooms, and topped with melted cheddar). First of all, the potatoes were cooked perfectly. It had the perfect amount of bacon, cheese, mushrooms, and onion. The food came out fast and hot. This is probably the best breakfast I've had in years. Bayside skillet will definitely be in my rotation every time I visit OC.
Seems brunch is the thing to do in OC, MD! They had no wait on a Friday morning around 11a. We were sat immediately and it took about 10 min for us to get a server. Very spacious and vibrant decor, seemed lively and fit the beach theme. We had a great view of the marshes Crepes were the fan favorite. I had a blueberry crepe with fresh blueberries and my mom had a banana foster crepe while my sis had a Southwest chicken fiesta omelette. The crepes were flavorful yet super sweet and they were huge - definitely couldn't finish it all in one sitting. We all shared bacon and pan fried potatoes and had some grapefruit mimosas to wash it down. The mimosas were made with fresh grapefruit juice which made it so refreshing. We had a party of 13 and they were able to seat us right away with no reservation. We didn't look at the menu in advance, and weren't expecting for the focus of this restaurant to be omelettes and crepes (the limited menu is the only reason for the 4 stars.). However, you can get a basic omelette which is just a plate of eggs, and separate small plates of bacon for pickier eaters. The place is pretty big, with a lot of indoor seating as well as outdoor. Everything is decorated with flowers and little strawberries. Overall, our experience was great! read more

As a foodie, I rate Bayside Skillet the best Breakfast & Brunch restaurant in all of Maryland and all of the seashore costal places. Every dish is done with perfection. The seafood crapes are filled with fresh Crab, shrimp, and scallops in a delicious cream sauce. The fruit crapes are packed with fresh fruit hand selected berries topped with a homemade whipped cream topping. Omelettes are packed with your choice of meats. A must go to place. read more

I want to make a Save by the Bell reference but honestly it would be too forced... Go Bayside... bow that is out of my system... let's get down to the review. The waitress did suggest that the portion sides are big and we probably should do one savory and one sweet... and me being the one with the sweet tooth, I had laser focus dedication to get the seafood crepe... my wife got the Seafood Ariel and later we realized they're more or less the same thing except one is lumped on top of breakfast potatoes and the other is lumped o a crepe with old bay. Sharing with my wife was pointless ugh... should have listened to the waitress. The serving size is really large but the seafood did taste that well seasoned but the crepes was sweet and balanced. Really should have gotten something sweet. I really did love the decor. They did really go hard with the pink and strawberries but I completely loved it. Next time I come back definitely with get something more sweet. Oh the freshly squeezed grapefruit is delicious. read more

I was recently in Ocean City, and I was more than thrilled to find a breakfast spot that serves crepes! It's very kitschy cute from the pink paint on the outside to the internal decor featuring wooden chairs with strawberry cut outs. I also appreciate a place with real linen tablecloths and napkins. I was seated immediately, and my server was there almost a second later. I kept finding it HILARIOUS that every staff person I interacted with made sure to tell me they have NO BREAD, and then overhearing numerous tables around me ask for bread or toast only to have the servers explain yet again that there is no bread. People are dumb - if you read this review, just know there is NO BREAD! lol. I ordered a pineapple mimosa, the hot dutch apple crepes and a side of bacon. So - the pineapple mimosa came in a regular water class, coated with some kind of green sugar rim. While the drink was okay - the sugar rim caused a real problem. As the meal went on, the condensation from the glass melted the sugar and it started running down the glass to the point you couldn't pick it up without getting green sticky hands. It even melted onto the table cloth! So - I didn't even finish it because it was just too complicated. Then my food arrived. And I was pretty disappointed, despite the portion being huge. When I think "hot dutch apple" I'm expecting the consistency of something akin to a pie. The apples should be soft and melt into the crepes. But that's not what happened. These were thick apple slices, barely cooked through - so crispy-ish instead of soft. The texture was very off-putting. The crepes themselves were okay but didn't have a lot of flavor on their own, and since I couldn't really get behind the texture of the apples, everything was just bland. The real star of the entire breakfast was the fresh cream they give you. I could eat a whole plate of that and it was probably the only thing that made the breakfast palatable for me. The other positive - the bacon was very good. Overall, it was okay as an experience, but based on this visit I wouldn't likely return. read more

The only good thing I can tell you about this place is the fresh orange juice. Came here due to a recommendation from a friend as they are known for their omelets. Food especially the omelet that the server recommended was horrendous, lacked flavor and basic seasoning (salt and pepper). The crepes were okay, the crepes at Crepe Daddy is far better and cheaper as well. Service was average, she was more interested in taking our order putting it in and getting us our check. Didn't ask a word why I had her remove the omelet that was barely touched. Very disappointing and will definitely not be back. read more
Gluten free breakfast heaven! Plus they encourage sharing! I wish they had another location non-beachside in MD or DE. This was absolutely delicious. I was so excited when I saw that almost anything could be made gluten free. It was a little overwhelming at first because I'm not used to that but honestly, way to go y'all! The crêpes are delicious, the service is great, and the place is just darling! Definitely an old style joint which I love. They care about service and good food. That's missing from so many places today. Great place all around! read more

Nice alternative to a diner. My companions had omelettes and they enjoyed them. I ordered crêpes with fresh spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes with melted cheese on top. It was very fresh but was begging for seasoning. A relative ate here two days in a row; they fell in love with the seafood crêpes. One caveat: If you are in the mood for fried eggs, grits, or toast, don't come here because they don't serve them. Omelettes, crêpes and frittatas are their specialties. They also have a selection of potatoes of different preparations, and fancy drinks. Service was good. We ate inside on a rainy day, but they do have outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful Assawoman Bay. read more

Had a wonderful experience here! We sat outside by the bay at the bar for breakfast! We got the pitcher of mimosas which has fresh squeezed orange juice- it was very good! Also got a mushroom omelette- it was huge!! Highly recommend, we had a wonderful time and the food was delicious! read more

The Bayside Skillet is located off Coastal Hwy. The restaurant has some beautiful art work and fixtures. The server was hospitable and attentive. Now the food was a disappointment. The turkey sausages taste like cardboard, they had no flavor. The seafood omelet was really bland but the seafood inside was good. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and was delicious. Service: very friendly and nice. Although the restaurant is full they r very attentive and doesn't take to wait long for our food Food and drink: their samosa is hands down made w real Fresh OJ. We tried their potatoes areial, lots of seafood, lots of crab meats and scallops and yummy. It was Saturday morning, mid July, around 9:00am. We arrived and the parking lot seemed full, but they had parking lot attendants to guide everyone to a spot. As busy as it was, we didn't have to wait for a table (just 2 of us). The waitress and hosts were very welcoming. Food came out fast, although they were clearly busy. Potatoes blended salt and the salt shakers had so much humidity, I couldn't get it out. I loved the atmosphere, inside and outside seating was very nostalgic. Not a luxury restaurant, VERY casual, but great place for breakfast. We loved the decor and vibe, will definitely be back. read more

One of the best breakfast spots I have enjoyed amongst our travels! The portions were large, the food was delicious, the staff was beyond accommodating and pleasant, the price point was reasonable for a vacation town and the outside ambiance off the bay under canopy was delightful. I had the seafood omlette and holy cow was it loaded with crab, scallops, and shrimp. My husband enjoyed the loco leprechaun omlette as well. If the portions werent so large, we would have added their bountiful bowl of strawberries which was a massive bowl of strawberries with whipped cream but we just didnt have the room. Would definitely stop by for breakfast again if in the area. read more

The vibe of this place is better than the food overall, but I enjoyed it and would definitely come back! The theme is pink and colorful, which made it very aesthetically pleasing. We sat on the outside balcony, covered with colorful umbrellas The menu is limited in that there are really only omelette and crepe options, so being in the mood for either of those is essential to enjoying the menu. Some of the omelette dishes lacked flavor, but the seafood omelette and Philly cheesesteak omelette were pretty good! It was crowded, but service and wait time was stellar. read more
