On our way home from our annual Fenwick beach trip, we randomly came across Daybreak Cafe while looking for a place to stop for breakfast. Little did I know how incredibly delicious and awesome this lil' gem of a restaurant is!!! My family and I are sort of foodies so it takes a lot to impress us but we def were! I appreciate their health conscious approach like using avocado oil, and making all their dressings from scratch, even their mayonnaise, and offering lo-carb wraps at no extra charge. All of our food was delicious and flavorful, esp the carrot cale which speaks for itself!! The owner Darren literally walks around greeting customers at their tables, helping out the staff and making sure everyone is pleased with their meal. He told me that their pancake recipe has been in his family for 10 generations, right after getting us to-go boxes. My only complaint is that they arent located closer to my home and that i have to wait a whole year to go back!!!! Service is slow, been here 3 times. Takes about 15 min for anyone to even acknowledge that we are at the table. Wait staff could at least acknowledge that you are at the table. The restaurant is super loud! Food: classic eggs Benedict is not a classic eggs Benedict, theirs is made with thin deli ham and not on an English muffin as a classic would be. Chicken Caesar salad was not good I would not recommend or go back, I think giving it 3 times is enough. read more

04/19/26 Wife and I were here for dinner last night for the first time. The soup and salad were very good, but the seafood dinners were a bit disappointing. before heading home, we knew how good their breakfast and lunch items are, so we stopped back in with my mom. We really like the grilled cheese with roast beef--it comes with chips and au jus for dipping, almost like a French dip, and it's excellent. They even include three pickles on the plate, which were really good. We ordered three of the specials, and they were all very good. We even had enough left over for my wife and I to bring home and eat for dinner that evening. We will definitely be back. With the summer crowd coming in, I'm sure it's going to get very busy with long waits unless you get there early. Hopefully they can expand with some outdoor seating to accommodate more people. Hidden behind a car wash it's a pretty big space. Staff was friendly and attentive. They have plenty of gluten free options including gluten free toast. I got sunny side up eggs with gluten free toast, bacon and home fries. Eggs were cooked perfect. Pretty good gluten free toast. Home fries were average and the bacon was below average. Bacon was under my preference and didn't have a good natural flavor. They have plenty of coffee options and fresh squeezed juices read more

I am more than excited to find this gem of a restaurant 10 minutes from my house! They have only been open since April of this year and not sure why I'm just finding them now but so grateful I did! A notch above breakfast. That's how my wife described it. This was our second time eating here & it was even better than the first. My wife got the "Green Eggs & Ham" that was a take on Eggs Benedict with spinach. A lot of food and quite delicious I got the bagel & house cured lox, with a delicious light salad on top. I did notice that they just got their liquor license, so next time I'll try one of those Tito's bloody Mary's Lastly, Dasha did a great job of serving us & was very attentive. The Food and Service were good but the room is ridiculously loud. The layout is open and there is nothing to absorb the sound. It was so distracting that I decided to test it. I have an app that measures sound levels. It's not too high tech but I have checked it against osha equipment and it's pretty close. The 30 min average was 78 decibels with a peak of 107 db. 80 db is the threshold for requiring hearing protection. I think I'd only go back if I wax alone or was eating with someone I didn't want to talk to. read more

Very nice weekday brunch. Bright (lots of big windows). My husband had meatlovers omelette, homefries, toast, coffee. I had BLT wrap with blackened salmon and chips. Food is all farm to table and homemade. Salmon was fresh and a good size portion. When you enter they have a case with desserts all made in house. We will be heading back soon. We happened to go on an unusually busy day and had to wait 5-10 minutes, but the service and food were still very good. Our server Marc had to come back when we hadn't made up our minds yet he was still very patient and friendly while answering our questions about the items. I had asked for a different type of lettuce than was on the menu and it was delivered as requested. The roasted beet salad was very good with the candied pecans and pistachio vinaigrette. I have been there many times since their recent opening and plan to go back often. And besides the delicious food, a very friendly staff will be there.
