It came with glass noodles instead of rice; I wondered why but then realized I'd checked it while considering my options and neglected to uncheck the box. The jasmine rice typical of the cuisine is an attraction in itself, but it's not the worst thing in the world to have options. My noodles were not ordered at the maximum spice level and delivered a sweet and savory flavor with a lime to squeeze and a sachet of crushed peanuts on the side. I appreciated the option to order a Thai tea with oat milk. Literally right smack dab in the middle. We were the first customers on Monday, and were seated right away. I'm not sure if they didn't have a designated server that day, or if it was usual that they just have the hostess serving the food as well. Anyway, we sit down and were given menus. The server walks away once we sit down and we don't see her until maybe 5 minutes, and then she asks if we're ready. We are, so we all wanted water and ordered our appetizers and entrees at once. She walks away and we don't see her for another 5-7 minutes. She then brings us out waters and about 7 minutes later brings us our appetizers. We wait for about 7-10 minutes after our appetizers then our entrees were served. We ate, paid and left. The service was fine, with the exception of the wait we experienced, considering we were the only ones there and it was on Monday morning and there really wasn't much going on. Now here's the part about the food. We got four orders of the summer rolls. They tasted fine, but I'm my opinion, it was lacking. Summer rolls that I'm used to has shrimp, pork, lettuce, bean sprouts, noodles, herbs like Thai Basil or cilantro, or scallions, but their summer rolls had shrimp, noodles, and shredded lettuce. The sauce tasted ok too, but that's pretty much all I have to say about the summer rolls. Now onto the Pho. I ordered the pho with everything in it and a large. I typically order that and share that with my daughter who is 7. I asked for the bean sprouts to be cooked as well and that was brought to us. The large pho was $18, and it was barely enough for my daughter. I ended up asking for an additional order of noodles and they brought it, and I took about 3/4 of that order of noodles and gave more to my daughter. The noodles portion wasn't great for the price, and the meat in the pho wasn't great either. Luckily for me, my daughter isn't a big meat eater, but even for me, there was not enough and definitely not $18 worth of food. Now onto the broth. The broth was blanddddddd with a hint of herbs and wasn't nearly as beefy as a pho broth should taste. Target sells a boxed pho broth that has more herbs and beef taste that I'd probably prefer rather than the broth they served. I will say that it was nice that there is a Pho option in Ocean City, but I think that's the only thing they have going for them. Without any competition, if anyone around the area is genuinely craving for pho, this place will be the only option and it will suffice, but if it were up to me, I'll just skip it and wait until I head home.
