We found this Thai restaurant because my husband was craving Thai food, and I'm so glad we gave it a try! It's located in a strip mall, and the inside is small but very clean. The service was prompt and fast. This was actually the first restaurant we've been to that gave our toddler her own toddler plate, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. We were a little hesitant about the food at first, so we only ordered two dishes: the chicken pad Thai and the panang curry. Both were delicious! The portions were a little on the smaller side, but the flavors were really good. We also ordered the mango sticky rice, and it was delicious. The mango was fresh, and even our toddler enjoyed it! Thai O Cha is up around 138th Street, about 8-10 minutes from downtown Ocean City. We normally don't venture past 14th Street so this was a pleasant surprise to find. It's a small, quaint spot and worth the trip. We ordered the drunken noodles with tofu, Massaman curry with tofu, the broccoli lover, vegetable spring rolls, and fried tofu. I know that sounds like a lot of tofu, but split between three people it worked out really well. Everything was really flavorful and the staff was friendly and helpful. We went family style and spent around $70-80 with tip. Easily one of the better dining options for vegetarians in Ocean City (though a bit pricey). Tucked into a strip mall in Ocean City, Maryland, this Thai restaurant offers many of our favorite dishes. The rice is perfectly steamed. I'm used to panang curry with onions, potatoes and carrots which were missing from my dish. Replacing this was green beans and red pepper. Thai O Cha was such a good find in Ocean City for authentic Thai food that was reasonably priced and amazing! We really enjoyed the friendly service along with the wholesome atmosphere and clean interior. Our favorite dishes were the appetizer platter (especially the chive cake) and spicy drunken noodles (the Thai spice was TRULY spicy unlike some other spots that claim to be spicy and it was absolutely delicious). I loved the charred smoky flavor that both the drunken noodles and pad see ew had! However, I did think there could be some improvement with the pad see ew because it was lacking that classic sweet soy sauce flavor. Maybe more sauce should be added? Overall, definitely going to be a spot that I am coming back to when I'm craving Thai food in Ocean City! read more

I went in for mango sticky rice. Informed they didnt have any. Ordered summer rolls. Didnt look at them. Just paid and left. Ive NEVER had them wrapped in so much ICEBERG LETTUCE. Immediate red flag. I'm not sure if they know Indians are going to choose vegan menu but she just asked if I'd like the vegan menu, which I loved. Nothing bad to say about the service other than she had wrongly entered a vegan order with Chicken but she apologized and got it fixed. 1.0/1.5 - Decor The setting could get a refresher. But it wasn't bad at all. The tables and booth were kept clean and inviting. There are smaller art pieces around the room as well. However, being in a nondescript shopping area, they've done well to keep the inside looking inviting. 1.75/2 - Food We ordered all vegan choices of the following. Panang curry, Broccoli Lover, and Drunken Noodles. The quality of food ingredients seemed decent. We asked the drunken noodles and broccoli dish to be mild for our son to eat while the Panang curry to be spicy. They delivered. I usually like really spicy drunken noodles but these mild ones still had enough flavor to enjoy. Baby corn, zucchini, carrots, and fried tofu were going well with the overall flavor. I would pass on the Broccoli lover dish though next time. It was a bit sweet and more watery rather than a thick coating of sauce. Also, initially they brought the broccoli lover with chicken and being vegetarian, my wife had gotten put off by it. However, the spicy Panang curry was delicious. There were green beans, tofu, and peas though the peas were all the way at the bottom so make sure to scoop them up or you will find only peas at the end. The curry was balanced nicely with the hot and spicy flavor with the sweetness of coconut and other ingredients. Ordered take out and while it was ready promptly and staff was lovely when we picked up, the meal was just OK. The restaurant itself was small but cute. The good parts of Thai O Cha were the Thai iced tea and the Tom Yum soup- delicious, packed with flavor, the combo perfect for a chillier night! The drunken noodles we shared were more like lo mein flavor wise (soy sauce being the predominant taste, and without the holy basil/thai chili/peppercorn flavor profiles), and the fried tofu quite soggy. My partner ordered the mix veggie stir fry which he said tasted mostly like soy sauce as well. Portions were small for the price. I was keen to try a curry and maybe that would've been a better option. Don't think I'd head back to Thai O Cha aside for the glorious Thai iced teas! read more

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!! My husband and I decided on Thai food for dinner and what a great idea this was! I'm always kinda nervous whenever I see Thai spicy and having it be not spicy. WE ACTUALLY GOT EXACTLY THAT! I ordered Pad Thai with tofu at the second to highest level of spicy and my husband got Drunkin Noodles with seafood, Thai spicy (the highest level of spicy). I had lots of tofu and the flavor was well balanced. My husbands meal had lots of vegetables and plenty of seafood, all well balanced. When I went to pick up the order, there were people dining in as well as others picking up like myself. You want delicious Thai food, look no further because this is your answer! The cream cheese wontons weren't my favorite because they were sweeter to my liking. Really enjoyed my Broccoli lover with shrimp that was Thai hot! I love things spicy! We are new to Ocean City and exploring new (to us) restaurants. We were so excited to find this Thai gem within walking distance. It's better than Thai places near our home in NOVA. We ordered spring rolls, Mixed Vegetables with Tofu and Crab Fried Rice. The portion size was generous and the food was cooked to perfection. The crab was delicious and fresh. The wait staff was attentive, checking and keeping our water glasses full despite the crowd. We will definitely make this one of our "go to' places in OC. read more

Despite clear detailed instructions and confirmation of our preferences with the female server, they messed up and brought in wrong dish. And then beef pieces came in our "Vegan" hot & sour (Tum yum) soup! The chef came out and told us he used the same pots as other non-veg food and so that's why beef pieces in our soup. They don't realize that "Vegan" means NEVER mixing pots, pans and utensils !! Separation is the key. As a Hindu, it's sacrilegious to eat beef. Will NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

We stop by here right when they open for lunch! No one else was there at the beginning of our meal, but by the end it was getting busier. I started my meal with a thai iced tea, which was classically delicious. And we shared the appetizer sampler which was a good amount of food for two people. The spring rolls and egg rolls were phenomenal. We did not really enjoy the cream cheese filled crab region and the gyoza were just OK. My friend got the grilled shrimp and broccoli meal, which she enjoyed and asked for it to be extra spicy and I had the Massuman curry with beef which was a large serving and had potatoes melted in your mouth. Honestly. I've liked this place a lot and I am always sure to visit when I come to Ocean City, but I won't anymore. I ordered Green Curry and the Whole Fish. Which I usually get. I was told they changed the menu, but I was in luck because they had one more whole fish. The fish looked good, but it tasted freezer- burned. My $32 freezer burned fish! The chicken also had a very strange look and taste. I mentioned it but was not accommodated or provide any level of customer service. I'll look for Thai elsewhere. read more

I finally could have hot and sour soup because it was vegan. My cashew stir fry was amazing - between mild and medium was plenty hot for me. Sauce was light and clearly made in house. I live near by and have been to this restaurant a few times over the years. I have to admit that I've forgotten about this place. My brother suggested that we go to Thai-O-Cha for dinner. Wow, wow, what fantastic food. All of our dishes were very well prepared with especially fresh ingredients. From the vegan soup to stir fry dishes you could tell everything is freshly made. What we had: Lovely fresh spring rolls- mostly lettuce and noodles with a nice coconut-y peanut sauce Fried spring rolls were fine but not exciting Vegan pad thai with tofu was the highlight- classic flavor, big portion Tofu pranam- coconut-t peanut sauce on tofu with steamed vegetables. Pretty tasty but not awesome. Pumpkin curry- My wife is the curry fan and she thought this was good but not great. She said it was a little too sweet Vegan thai iced tea was really delicious When in Ocean City we'll definitely go here again.
