Okay this coffee shop is so perfect for the beautiful town of Berlin! It is so vibey and gives off the surfer feel with delicious looking desserts and amazing coffee and matcha! I loved how creative the drinks were! I got a blackberry oat milk sage matcha and it was incredible. My husband got a peach latte and loved it too. I also appreciated how nice the staff was. The lady who took our order was so friendly and kind! Fun tip if visiting, they have a great farmers market right by the coffee shop on Sunday mornings! Contractors and service companies beware of this place! The owner doesn't pay her invoices even when she keeps saying she will. Her words mean nothing apparently.. If you are a brave soul and do take on work at this place you will find yourself wasting so much time outside of the actual service time dealing with emails, texts, and phone calls about every little complaint and concern. You can assure her, provide remedies, undercharge her, refund work she complains about, go above and beyond to please her, but in the end, she thinks she knows better than you, will undermine you, and worst of all, not pay you when she says she will. Yes you're gonna feel like you're begging for your money, which we shouldn't have to do if some people actually kept their word. I was finally done when she started talkin to me like she's the expert and not listening to what I'm saying anymore, that's when it was time for me to peace on out. She can deal with it. This cozy cafe in Berlin is certainly worth the 10-20 min drive from Ocean City. The staff is super friendly and their food and drinks are delicious. I got their summer special banana latte and my wife got the blueberry one. I have to tell you, after I took my first sip, I felt like I was eating banana bread in latte form. They nailed it and I believe it all starts with their homemade banana syrup. Yes I said homemade banana syrup!!! It was on point! My wife loved her blueberry latte! As for the croissants, my kids devoured them and I was very lucky to sneak a bite from them. I will certainly be going back the next time I visit Berlin! read more

We're heading to Virginia to visit family and needed some afternoon coffee to make the ride bearable. I found 2nd Wave on Yelp and knew it was the place to stop. First impression, Berlin, MD is beyond cute! Perfect quaint village feel, only 15 minutes from the beach. I bet this area is popular. First impression of 2nd Wave, more of the same, absolutely fits in with the aesthetic. Clean, bright, and modern. Really nice lady working behind the counter, still pleasant at the end of a long shift. Really nice seating area, good clean bathroom. All that is good but the most important test was the coffee. My wife loved her latte and I found the Americano to be perfect! They use a high quality espresso machine. The coffee smells amazing. It was a truly smooth cup of coffee, great experience.
