The barn bloody was $17. I wish the piece of crab had been bigger but otherwise a great drink. Coffee ~$4 was underwhelming. We split the Crab Oscar with potatoes and chicken and waffles. Both were good and good portion. Our waitress was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, and checked in the right amount. Very busy place esp on summer weekends so go early and be prepared for a wait. My husband and I used to come here often years ago. When it was good. We have had awful food the last 3 visits over the last 3-4 years. We have been in September the last few times, so technically off Season. That shouldn't matter on the quality of the food. But apparently it does. The server was great. No complaints there. The food I got a scrambler and it looked like Slop, which yes a scrambler usually looks like things thrown together. But it had thick glob of cheese that was like thick and dry, and not melted at all either it had just been sitting there for a while and hardened, and underneath it was hiding old reheated dry potatoes. Bacon that look like it's been reheated just not good. The only thing I think that was freshen were the Eggs. English muffin didn't have any butter on it. Not sure if they put anything on it but my boyfriend's French toast was too cold wilted pieces of French toast that had a pound of butter slapped on. I think the butter from the whole restaurant was on his plate. I mean, we won't even feed our dog The waiter came over to ask you if everything was great and my boyfriend said no can we just have to check and then when he asked what was wrong we told him. And at least they gave us the food free of charge. We didn't eat any of it and I tipped the server because it wasn't his fault but we will never be back. The past couple of times we've gotten a fresh squeeze orange juice and it's not freshly squeeze at all. It used to be years ago, but this place has gone downhill. Very cute place, it appears small at first but they have a whole upstairs with plenty of space for seating and bar. We came in for brunch a little closer to close than we anticipated (which we also try to never do) but everyone was still so friendly. Our server/bartender Jacob had incredible knowledge of the menu and drinks and made us wonderful recommendations and cocktails. When our food was dropped off by other staff members they were all smiles and also incredibly helpful. The food and drinks were all amazing! Jacob also recommended some other things to do around town which we love hearing from a local. I love the cabin feel in the restaurant , it made me feel like being snowed in with the food vibe and rustic new age feel. Ate brunch here yesterday with my boyfriend. I will say parking is pretty tight, so the best bet is to park across the street at the lot that is $8 to park. Even though it was very busy when we arrived, we were immediately seated. Service was prompt and attentive. My boyfriend ordered the create your own omelette with a side of turkey sausage while I ordered a slice of the captain crunch toast, sausage links, and a fruit bowl. My boyfriend's meal came with a side of home fries which he didn't want, so I had those as well. Everything we ordered was delicious and very filling. The fruit bowl was full of some of my favorite fruits like pineapples, strawberries and blueberries. It's definitely enough to share with 2-3 people. I asked for some honey and the waitress gave me a jar, so I dipped my fruits in the honey and it was chef's kiss!! The French toast was crunchy and very tasty. I would never think to add Captain Crunch to the batter, but it worked and made sense after giving it a try. It came with a blueberry compote on the side which paired really nicely with the French roast and even some of the fruits. The home fries were also good. I drizzled their hot sauce called "Cilanktro" on top of it (I noticed the spelling was off) along with their "No Smokeing" sign. I'm guessing this is part of their aesthetic? The hot sauce had a good kick to it, and enhanced the flavor of the potatoes. Honestly, I couldn't finish those because I was stuffed from everything else on the table. The restaurant, itself, is fashioned after a barn house and had second floor seating. There seems to be ample room for smaller and larger groups. Their price point is also very reasonable. My husband and I have been coming to Ocean City, MD the past three years for a long weekend and we always have to eat here for breakfast at least twice, thanks to my parents, who introduced us to the place. I have not eaten one bad thing here and am convinced it is the best breakfast spot in town! The lobster benedict (often one of their specials) is tender, flavorful, and delicious; and their Captain Crunch french toast (one of their regular menu items) is amazing and doesn't even need the melba sauce it is served with on the side. I tried a bite of their corn pancake special, which was also very good, not overly sweet, and paired well with the mango salsa; and my mom had their Angel food cake French toast with berries and melba sauce, which she enjoyed very much. They also have a number of different mimosa selections. I had a pineapple mimosa the first time and a passionfruit one the second and both were equally delicious and again, not overly sweet. It gets very busy on the weekends but whenever we have had to wait, it was never longer than ten minutes. First time trying Barn 34, I've been wanting to get there for a while! The vibe inside the restaurant is so cute, you definitely don't feel like you are at the beach when you enter! It feels cozy and relaxing. Our waitress was very nice and super attentive throughout breakfast. I tried the western omelette with the biscuit and homefries. It was delicious; however, my only complaint is all the cheese was thrown on top, there was none in between the actual omelette. We have been wanting to go to Barn 34 since they opened and it is always crowded. While in OC we made sure we arrived a few minutes before opening at 8am. We were seated and the feast was about to begin. This is by far the best breakfast experience that we have had in Ocean City. The food was creative and outstanding. Cinnamon Roll French Toast was slightly crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. The icing was perfect and wasn't too sweet. My wife tried Angel Food Cake French Toast and raved about it all day. She brought two pieces home and shared it with others who also said it was amazing. The waitress said it wasn't cake and she was right. It's better than cake it was a mix of French toast and soft angel food cake. The staff is super friendly and this place is a gem in Ocean City. We found this cute place by driving past it several times. Our usual Breakfast spot was closed, so we decided to give it a try. It has a rustic homey feel. We got here midday and they weren't too busy. We were seated quickly and our Waiter (sorry forgot his name ) greeted us and told us of all the Specials for the day. What has happened Barn 34 ? The food has so changed . I've eaten at Barn 34 many times and raved about the eggs Benedict and bacon wrapped dates . We both ordered the classic eggs Benedict with hash browns and neither of us were impressed. Meh. The Benedict was so bland , the hollandaise sauce had no flavor ( acidity , salt, spice, mustard -so off) , the English muffin wasn't toasted , and was up charged $1.50 more for added peppers /onions in our hash browns ! The waitress was persistent in asking repeatedly did we want, " peppers and onions " , in the hash browns? We both commented why is she so persistent to asking us when we have never been asked this before . We both just said " yeah sure" to pacify her. We realized when our bill came the up charge. They tasted awful with added peppers and onions ...insert sad face here. The reheated microwave "wrapped dates appetizer" was so dried out and microwaved . The inside of the date was scalding . The roof of our mouths and tongue are burnt . The appetizer arrived minutes after ordering . My friend did not finish her food and I only ate out of immediate need of hunger and not quality of food. The hostess was super friendly and able to sit us right away even though they were relatively packed. There is an upstairs and downstairs with plenty of seating. Here's a natural, down-to-earth We rolled into Barn 34 around 7:45 or 7:50 in the morning, and right away we knew we were in for something special. They let us right in, seated us with no wait, and somehow had food on our table by 8:00 sharp--including hot coffee in hand as soon as we sat down. That alone blew me away. The service? Top-notch. Crispy, sweet, and perfectly cooked. But the real star of the show was the chip beef gravy. I'm telling you right now, I've eaten a lot of chip beef in my life, and this was hands down the best I've ever had. I'd go back just for that. The fried potatoes were on point, and the scrapple was done right--crispy edges, full flavor, not greasy. Next day, we came back for round two. Got the cinnamon bun French toast this time, and wow... just wow. Sweet, soft, and indulgent. Like dessert for breakfast but done classy. Again, service was just as good. Same welcoming vibe, same fast and friendly attention to detail. Yes, prices are a little up there, but let's be real--everything in Ocean City is. The difference is that at Barn 34, you get your money's worth. The portions are generous, and the quality is way above average. I've been to this place many times now and it never disappoints. We went on St patty's weekend which was their first week open for the season. You wouldn't have been able to tell as everything went seamlessly. I believe our server's name was Sam and she profusely apologized for the wait and we actually didn't feel like anything took long. I always usually get the crab cake Benedict which is the perfect amount of crab to egg to muffin ratio. This time around I tried the crab imperial omelette. I prefer the Benedict because of the crab to egg ratio- the crab imperial omelette has a more crab forward taste but delicious nonetheless! Popped in for an early breakfast on a Saturday morning in the off season and were seated right away. The place was almost packed but tables were moving quickly. While they have an assortment of boozy coffee cocktails, we kept it simple with regular coffee. Kelly, our waitress, was fantastic and rattled of an entire menu worth of specials, most of which piqued our interest and made it difficult to decide (in a good way!). I opted for the fried green tomato special (different than the one on their normal menu) which had pimento cheese and a balsamic reduction. While the pimento cheese was more of a veggie cream cheese, it was still absolutely delicious. I also got the angel food cake french toast (another special) which came with fresh berries. It was a delicious treat and reminded me a lot of a funnel cake - would definitely recommend! Hubby ordered the jalapeño popper omlette (also a special) and added crab meat. It was absolutely delicious and they surely did not skimp on the crab! The only down side to the location is the parking, with only a small handful of spots in the lot. We found paid parking off to the right and were in and out and only had to park for an hour but I imagine in the busy season, when the restaurants and that hotel are busy, parking can be a challenge.
