In the gift shop, he had a very hard time making the decision between two shirts, and wound up having a "meltdown" as a result (making decisions is often very difficult for him, especially game time decisions with an audience of strangers). The 3 employees in the gift shop tonight were so incredibly patient and understanding, allowing him to take his time with no judgement or negative reactions. What could have wound up ruining our evening entirely was saved by the patience and kindness of these employees. I wish I would've gotten their names but in all the commotion it slipped my mind. Bad Monkey is our favorite breakfast spot in Ocean City! We had breakfast (again) there last Friday and it didn't disappoint. My husband ordered the Bad Monkey Breakfast with an iced coffee, while I enjoyed a side of scrambled eggs and the Nutella French Toast from the kids' menu. Our favorite part of every breakfast is the delicious monkey bread--it's always a treat! Everything was delicious and our server Colin was attentive. If I could change one thing, it would be the opening time. We are early risers and wish we didn't have to wait until 8:30 for breakfast. We came here the morning we were heading out of Ocean City. We were seated upstairs and it seemed to be a big lull from when we sat down to when we were spoken to by the server. They start you off with some complimentary monkey bread which was pretty tasty. It was like little cinnamon bun donut holes. My husband and I shared the burger for breakfast item which came on top of a tortilla with eggs and tots. It also came with some breakfast potatoes. It was nice of them to split the meal for us into two separate plates. It stated that our meal came with some salsa, but it seemed very light on the dish since it seemed pretty plain. My FIL asked for their specialty hot sauce and the server said he would bring it upstairs in a little bit. By the time FIL was halfway done with this meal, he was informed they were out. Pleasantly surprised! Everything about this restaurant gets a thumbs up! My husband and I stopped here for breakfast as we were leaving Ocean City after an amazing Valentine's Day Weekend. I ordered the "Hungry Monkey" and my husband ordered "The Meaty Monkey" and OH MY! Most restaurants do not prepare my over medium egg to my liking but Bad Monkey knew the assignment and executed it perfectly! The sausage links were browned and good, the bacon was fixed soft like I asked and they even had bacon hot sauce, lol and it was good! The cinnamon pancakes were humongous and delicious and I don't like pancakes! The fried potatoes were super good as well. My husband loved steak omelette and the bread ... freshly made bread on site is always top tier. The orange juice and coffee was fresh as well. The waiter was amazing. Visit to Ocean City Md and came across this place while looking for something to eat. What a great choice we made picking this place. The food was amazing and the drinks were delicious. Place was packed, parking was tight if you have a big truck. Resturant was upstairs on the second floor and the staff was friendly and polite. I got the chicken parm spicy on a hot hero bread. They make their own bread and it was nice and hot and soft. My meal was amazing and came with fries and a hot sauce. Travel Check in - Location, while driving into our condo I spotted this place you can't miss it. Get there early as you will wait, some seating but conveniently a Bad Monkey store right where you check in, which I did partake in and purchased some items. We ended up sitting at a small bar on I believe the 2nd level which was fine, but not a lot of room to wiggle but as busy as they are I did not mind. Food - 4.5 stars, everything was cooked with perfectly, and bacon was for me cooked perfectly crisp and eggs cooked to order. We tried some new dishes this time! I shared the Caprese sub with my sister and it was good. Loved the pesto and cheese. Wish it had more tomatos on it. If the bread was toasted it would have been awesome! We did enjoy it and would get it again. Our kids meals came out very fast along with our appetizers. The server was kind and kept coming back to ask if we needed anything. He even gave us some monkey bread that was left over from breakfast which was good. My kids and I loved it! We also tried some new drinks. My sister enjoyed the jalapeño margarita with sliced jalapeño in it. I got the cold brew martini which was a great dessert drink and I'd get it again. I wish the buffalo chicken dip used shredded chicken instead of larger pieces inside. It was juicy instead of creamy of that makes sense. I wouldn't get that again. Stopped in for happy hour but their happy hour is only 3-5! We arrived right at 5 and Barry was awesome and honored us with the happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drink! He was great company and you can tell he is good at what he does! The patio looks like it would be lovely to sit out there, once the weather warms up. My son's "chocolate chip pancakes" were plain pancakes served cold, with chips tossed on top. My wife's cream chipped beef over biscuits wasn't much better, room temp and stale. I passed on ordering an omelette and went with a parfait instead, hoping they couldn't mess that up. We've agreed: no breakfast here again. If you're in ocean city you should try bad monkey at least once. It's got a full menu of your standard American fare: burgers, wings, cheesesteaks, salads and many more dishes. We've gone here a few times mainly for the quick service. We stopped because it was one of the few places opened with our late arrival. We were immediately sat and our servant was over a few seconds later. I wish I had gotten her name. She was great. Friendly and full of suggestions. It was pretty empty but we assumed because it was almost closing time. That made for a quiet dining experience. We ordered right away after scoping out the menu online. Fish tacos, wings and buffalo chicken cheesesteak with truffle fries. One thing to remember is portions are huge here. We could have ordered one entre to share between the three of us. Everything was average. The best part was the fries and the house made blue cheese dressing. While every dish was plentiful they weren't great. My husband's wings were chewy rather than crispy but the sauces were good. He had Thai and another flavor but I don't remember the name. My daughters fish tacos had plenty of fish and toppings but needed some seasoning. My buffalo chicken was chopped perfectly but had a ton of buffalo sauce that overpowered everything. We were a little disappointed because a previous visit was so much better. We got some bottles of monkey bacon hot sauce which is my husbands favorite so that made up for our meal. Vacations are a great opportunity for many things. One at the top of our list is the opportunity to try places to eat that we've never tried before. The name 'Bad Monkey' reminded me of a Carl Haaisan book and a tv show of that name, both of which I love. It's on the second floor and overlooks the busy main drag of OC. It's up a flight of stairs, or if you prefer or need to, you can take the elevator. We were seated immediately, and the attentive care began. Water came iced and our glasses were kept filled. A Caesar Salad for Meg, and a Cheeseburger with a side of fries for me. Both meals were exceĺlent. I'm against the huge burgers that have to be eaten with a knife and fork. I expressed my concern to our delightful server, and she delivered a regular size burger just the way I like it. Meg's Chardonnay and my Margarita were excellent. Pricing is in line with what one expects at a tourist town eatery, but we considered it fair and resonable considering the clleanliness, warm atmosphere, and top shelf service. 1 night in Ocean City Maryland in the winter. What to do? Crab cakes & football! There are a couple of nearby Bad Monkey restaurants - 1 was closed for renovations & the other was less than a mile away. The restaurant is the bar and from what we could tell - only open weekends in the winter. It's a nice airy place - lots of wood, high ceilings & interesting light fixtures. And there were 5 TV's with football on. I had an orange crush to drink. It was good, however, the ice wasn't crushed (orange crush =crushed ice, right?). There was a splash of sprite in it, but there should have been more. The crabcake sandwich was better than I expected (I'm no expert though). It comes with chips, and for an up charge you can get fries or onion rings. Service was very good - everyone was helpful. Good place to check out. read more

The way the restaurant was decorated for Christmas sent out a very welcoming signal. It ended there. The hostess had us seated immediately but it took quite some time for our waitress to appear. Anichil was our waitress and couldn't understand English, was brand new at waitressing or just didn't care about service. Our experience with her was not good. I asked that my bloody Mary be made with regular vodka instead of cucumber vodka and my 1st drink was prepared correctly. The 2nd drink had to be remade because of the incorrect vodka. My husband ordered a screwdriver and received a vodka cranberry and that had to be remade also. We had to ask for water which was a long time coming. She came back to get our food orders after the 1st round of drinks. We both ordered the Bad Monkey breakfast with our eggs over medium. She asked if we wanted our bacon "regular" or crispy. We ordered regular. Another server delivered our food immediately. Then we noticed the bacon was curled up and crispy with burnt edges and 3 of our 4 eggs had no runny yolk, Anichil never came back to check on us. The restaurant was no crowded at all. We had to get the hostess's attention to have her come over to our table. The hostess pointed to us, she acknowledged then proceeded to go over to the table of a large party and begin to clear their table. When she was done, she came over to our table. By then we had eaten what was edible on our plates. I told her she never checked on us and how the bacon was not edible and how terrible the eggs were. She offered to have the bacon remade and we told her to just credit us on the bill for the bacon. They credited us $4.00 each for the bacon. Another excellent experience at Bad Monkey on 58th Street. I called earlier in the morning because we had a party of 10. They don't take reservations, but I wanted to give them a heads-up. I called again when we were on our way and was told we could sit separately or take a high-top, which we chose. When we arrived, another group of 10 claimed they were the ones who had called ahead (they hadn't), but the front-of-house staff handled it professionally and pulled tables together for us anyway. Our server Julia was pleasant and very attentive and offered some food recommendations which were spot on. Restaurant offered a variety of food choices from appetizers, sandwiches and full dinners. The service is not very good the wait staff can barely speak to you they nod there heads and speak under their breath not sure if they don't understand English or don't speak it well, either way very frustrating. The food was poor the breakfast potatoes * were soaked in so much grease that's all you could taste and as far as the scrambled eggs they were anything but fluffy and scrambled . Just horrible. My son ordered the Nutella French Toast, well it was more like a piece of dried out toast with Nutella spread over it, definitely was NOT French toast. We are sad monkeys. In fairness, we arrived at 8:15pm and the place was emptying out. I ordered a grilled cheese (minus the bacon). Hubby ordered a burger with monkey jam. A grilled cheese should have gooey, melted cheese with soft bread. The bread was too thick. The cheese didn't fully melt. It was more like a fancy piece of thick bread with warmed cheese. The sandwich comes with chips or you can upgrade to fries. The fries seemed like they came from a frozen bag and weren't fully cooked. The fries were barely warm and many were cold. The manager remade them (didn't charge me) and brought a generous portion. The second batch was better at the table. The leftovers didn't reheat well. Hubby liked the burger. The jam is runny. This burger probably isn't a "first date" item. This wasn't our first date. It was our anniversary. The meal wasn't special. Ocean City doesn't seem to have many choices on a Sunday night. The manager asked how he could improve the meal for future business. He didn't ask how he could make our meal better. He could have remade my sandwich and helped salvage the visit. The pickles were the best part of the plate. They were thick and yummy. We boxed our items. I threw out the sandwich. The server was outgoing. She just wasn't focused on our table. There are two locations in OC. When we shared our experience with friends, they said the Ocean Gateway location was better. I loved that they bring our water and monkey bread (complimentary), after you've been sat. The monkey bread is warm and delicious!
