Pleasantly surprised! Everything about this restaurant gets a thumbs up! My husband and I stopped here for breakfast as we were leaving Ocean City after an amazing Valentine's Day Weekend. I ordered the "Hungry Monkey" and my husband ordered "The Meaty Monkey" and OH MY! Most restaurants do not prepare my over medium egg to my liking but Bad Monkey knew the assignment and executed it perfectly! The sausage links were browned and good, the bacon was fixed soft like I asked and they even had bacon hot sauce, lol and it was good! The cinnamon pancakes were humongous and delicious and I don't like pancakes! The fried potatoes were super good as well. My husband loved steak omelette and the bread ... freshly made bread on site is always top tier. The orange juice and coffee was fresh as well. The waiter was amazing. Food wait times were super quick and the restaurant gave off beach vibes with bad monkey theme. After eating breakfast we stopped in the gift shop downstairs abd got items to take back home. We got all kinds of sweatshirts, t-shirts and a mug!

quoted a 45 minute wait, but then the wait ended up being 10 minutes #win. we saw a sign for this place on the way in with a cool looking monkey so we decided to stop in for breakfast!!! i got the sunny side of the bay, which was a crab cake with an egg, chorizo, & potatoes and it was exactly what i was expecting which is sooooooo delicious!!!! boyfriend got the weekly special pancakes (banana walnut) and he said they were "very yummy. monkeys like bananas". our friend we were with got the breakfast tacos and she said they were delicious and superrr filling! she took 2/3 of the tacos home with her so slay leftovers!!! coffee was delicious, vibes were great, i wanted to get merch so bad but if i get 1 more t-shirt my closet will explode. so i will have the memories and cool leftovers bag to hold this place in my heart

Bad monkey was great the food came out fast and was fully customizable for someone with allergies. The waitress was super accommodating of my gfs allergies and even brought our dog water on the back deck. The back deck was nice and had umbrellas and a great view of the water.

Travel Check in - Location, while driving into our condo I spotted this place you can't miss it. Get there early as you will wait, some seating but conveniently a Bad Monkey store right where you check in, which I did partake in and purchased some items. We ended up sitting at a small bar on I believe the 2nd level which was fine, but not a lot of room to wiggle but as busy as they are I did not mind. Food - 4.5 stars, everything was cooked with perfectly, and bacon was for me cooked perfectly crisp and eggs cooked to order. I order a Rise and Shine cocktail which may be sweet but was so good, I enjoyed the drink. Service - 3 stars, Our server/bartender was busy as sin but super friendly.

We tried some new dishes this time! I shared the Caprese sub with my sister and it was good. Loved the pesto and cheese. Wish it had more tomatos on it. If the bread was toasted it would have been awesome! We did enjoy it and would get it again. Our kids meals came out very fast along with our appetizers. The server was kind and kept coming back to ask if we needed anything. He even gave us some monkey bread that was left over from breakfast which was good. My kids and I loved it! We also tried some new drinks. My sister enjoyed the jalapeño margarita with sliced jalapeño in it. I got the cold brew martini which was a great dessert drink and I'd get it again. I wish the buffalo chicken dip used shredded chicken instead of larger pieces inside. It was juicy instead of creamy of that makes sense. I wouldn't get that again. Atmosphere was inviting for our family on a Thursday night. No wait and we got seated right away which was nice for high season. Always a good experience here at Bad Monkey. We visited the gift shop after and had a good time. Can't wait to go back!

Stopped in for happy hour but their happy hour is only 3-5! We arrived right at 5 and Barry was awesome and honored us with the happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drink! He was great company and you can tell he is good at what he does! The patio looks like it would be lovely to sit out there, once the weather warms up. I loved the monkey theme and the upstairs interior was fun and vibrant. They also have a gift shop! We didn't try any food but the food coming out looked and smelled great. I can't wait to come visit when it's warmer out!

2025 | $14.95 | Cream Chipped Beef over biscuits: biscuits were stale and creamed chipped beef was room temp at best. Very unfortunate.

July 2025 | Served Cold Food Customer service - 4 out of 5 Wait time - 5 out of 5 Cleanliness - 4 out of 5 Atmosphere - 4 out of 5 Food quality - 2.5 out of 5 This was our first time at Bad Monkey, and sadly, it started cold. Food hit the table within three minutes of ordering, which only makes sense if it's prepped ahead of time. The manager confirmed this, admitting the heat lamps likely weren't working properly. My son's "chocolate chip pancakes" were plain pancakes served cold, with chips tossed on top. My wife's cream chipped beef over biscuits wasn't much better, room temp and stale. I passed on ordering an omelette and went with a parfait instead, hoping they couldn't mess that up. We've agreed: no breakfast here again. We'll give dinner a shot next year and hope for a turnaround.

Come thirsty and hungry because they have lots of specialty drink and food options. Their service is friendly and always ready to recommend something for you. Very large food portions and if you go for breakfast try the monkey bread. Parking can be a bit tough.

If you're in ocean city you should try bad monkey at least once. It's got a full menu of your standard American fare: burgers, wings, cheesesteaks, salads and many more dishes. We've gone here a few times mainly for the quick service. We stopped because it was one of the few places opened with our late arrival. We were immediately sat and our servant was over a few seconds later. I wish I had gotten her name. She was great. Friendly and full of suggestions. It was pretty empty but we assumed because it was almost closing time. That made for a quiet dining experience. We ordered right away after scoping out the menu online. Fish tacos, wings and buffalo chicken cheesesteak with truffle fries. One thing to remember is portions are huge here. We could have ordered one entre to share between the three of us. Everything was average. The best part was the fries and the house made blue cheese dressing. While every dish was plentiful they weren't great. My husband's wings were chewy rather than crispy but the sauces were good. He had Thai and another flavor but I don't remember the name. My daughters fish tacos had plenty of fish and toppings but needed some seasoning. My buffalo chicken was chopped perfectly but had a ton of buffalo sauce that overpowered everything. We were a little disappointed because a previous visit was so much better. We got some bottles of monkey bacon hot sauce which is my husbands favorite so that made up for our meal. Overall a fair meal.

I wanted to like this place. It's a cool spot but imo overpriced and a little overhyped. That's a 4 egg omelette?

Vacations are a great opportunity for many things. One at the top of our list is the opportunity to try places to eat that we've never tried before. The name 'Bad Monkey' reminded me of a Carl Haaisan book and a tv show of that name, both of which I love. It's on the second floor and overlooks the busy main drag of OC. It's up a flight of stairs, or if you prefer or need to, you can take the elevator. We were seated immediately, and the attentive care began. Water came iced and our glasses were kept filled. A Caesar Salad for Meg, and a Cheeseburger with a side of fries for me. Both meals were exceĺlent. I'm against the huge burgers that have to be eaten with a knife and fork. I expressed my concern to our delightful server, and she delivered a regular size burger just the way I like it. Meg's Chardonnay and my Margarita were excellent. Pricing is in line with what one expects at a tourist town eatery, but we considered it fair and resonable considering the clleanliness, warm atmosphere, and top shelf service. Outdoor dining is available. In OC? I recommend Bad Monkey.

I think we had arrived right at the start of it since the earlier of our group did not have to pay it. The interior of the place was very cool and filled with plants and plenty of bars. When we were walking around trying to find our group, there was live music being played with a large area for listening and dancing. We met up with our group and ordered a few drinks and were able to watch the sunset on the water. Our first round of drinks were so tasty and good. However, when we ordered our second round, the drinks were much stronger and not as tasty. I think it was a different bartender, especially since we had ordered the same drink of a long island iced tea. We didn't try any food, so I can't comment on that part. The bathrooms were a bit rough; I'm not sure if there was any working AC in the ones I went to 'cause I was so hot! The door stall in the one I was in also didn't close all the way with almost a full inch gap that you could peer into, so I had to pull it close the whole time I was using the stall. Overall, I would come early to avoid the cover fee and enjoy the atmosphere and drinks!

SO, we decided we had the time, we were hungry & nearby, so we made our way to what is now called Whiskers Saloon. We were greeted warmly by Jay who was manning both the bar and customers at tables. We took some time to peruse the 2 page menu looking for both old favorites and what's new. I decided to try one of my usual sandwiches, The Rachel for comparison sake & added Sweet potato fries (additional upgrade). I asked & was happy the special spicy sauce I loved to combine with the fries was still available under a different name, Texas sauce. I will say, my sandwich was much better than in "the old days" because this was made with actual carved turkey thick slices as opposed to thin cold cut turkey from prior ownership. I was a happy camper! My hubby tried something new to him at Whiskers, he had a chicken cheesesteak sub and was pleasantly surprised and impressed to find it was not finely chopped up chicken, but cut up grilled chicken chunks with nicely sautéed onions. We were happy to return, pleased to find that good quality & taste was still there and its what we were used to after almost 15 years of frequenting here. We were happy to see Commanders game & flag displayed for this Sunday game with many fans inside boisterously enjoying the game playingon all the tvs. All day specials were going on today and Jay told us everything they were offering on the specially priced menu which was a nice extensive list of bar food and drinks, including $3 Yeungling.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Fager's Island!!…read more I rarely leave a negative review, but our experience at Fager's Island in Ocean City, Maryland, was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share it. We had made a reservation specifically to dine in the fine-dining section upstairs. My wife arrived before me because I had to park the car, and she was already seated upstairs when I entered the restaurant. When I went upstairs to find my wife, I was immediately confronted by an older woman who I believe was associated with the ownership or management. Instead of politely asking if she could help me, she rudely said, "What are you doing here?" I explained that my wife was already upstairs and that we had a reservation. She repeatedly ordered me to go downstairs and speak with the front desk before coming upstairs. I did exactly that, only to be told by the front desk that we had been seated on the lower level, despite my reservation being for the fine-dining section upstairs. When I explained this, my concern was essentially dismissed. Unfortunately, the poor treatment continued at the table. Our waitress took approximately 15 minutes just to come over and ask if we wanted something to drink. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, and when it arrived, we proceeded to order our food. While waiting, I turned one of the chairs slightly so my wife could sit comfortably while I took a picture of her with the beautiful water view behind her. The waitress rudely told me, "You can't turn the chair and take my chair." The attitude was completely unnecessary and made us feel uncomfortable as customers. Then came the food. I ordered my steak medium, It arrived well done. Given my experience as a restaurant owner, the steak appeared to me as though it may have been prepared ahead of time and reheated. My wife ordered the fish, which was described to us as fresh caught. Unfortunately, her fish was also overcooked. We did not make a scene. We politely explained the problem to our waitress and asked that both meals be corrected so we could enjoy our dinner together. Instead of simply correcting the problem, the waitress returned with my steak cut open in the middle and told me that the chef said it was cooked perfectly. It wasn't. I explained again that I had ordered it medium to medium-well and that it was well done. I politely asked them to remake it. I also asked that my wife's fish be remade so we could eat together. My steak came back first, but then my wife had to wait another approximately 10 minutes for her fish. At this point, what should have been a nice dinner had become an extremely frustrating experience. Mistakes happen in restaurants. That's not the issue. A steak can be overcooked. Fish can be overcooked. Orders can occasionally take longer than expected. What matters is how a restaurant treats its customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, we experienced rudeness, dismissive behavior, poor communication, disappointing service, and food that was not prepared as ordered. I came to Fager's Island expecting an enjoyable fine-dining experience and instead left extremely disappointed. For the prices they charge and the reputation they have, I expected much better. I would not recommend Fager's Island based on our experience. There are plenty of restaurants in Ocean City where customers can spend their money and be treated with courtesy and respect. Fager's Island: beautiful location, but our experience with the service, attitude, and food was simply not acceptable.
