Primo hoagie has very good Italian Subs/hoagie sandwiches. Sorry for the one star but you earned it. I ordered on the primo hoagie website on 7/3/26 at 403 pm. (Ocean city Md.) I selected delivery ON THE PRIMO HOAGIE WEBSITE. the order was to be delivered at 515 - 530 pm. Primo uses Doordash INSIDE their website. at 645pm my wife contacted Primo to find out where my order was..... She was hung up on after being told we don't deliver 3 TIMES. I contacted door dash - they told me to contact Primo. This went on and on..... frustrating. I ended up contacting the actual driver. 3 hours after my initial order to go find my food. I drove 7 miles and 40 minutes and picked up my food from the delivery driver. I live 2 miles from primo. ( 10 minutes on bad day) it is 101 degrees today. My cold Subs were oven warm. Cheese was melted on both subs. My cold beverages were too hot to enjoy. Well any way, I tried to be nice tried to be patient. 20 minutes after getting home and feeding my dogs the hot cold cut Subs, I tried again to contact Primo and was hung up on for the 4th time. I understand this is a vacation town but we live here year round. Local businesses need our dollars to survive winter, I guess primo doesn't. DOORCRASH is just as culpable. Subway has better subs/hoagies than Primo. The roll/ bun is to thick, the meat and cheese have little or not taste. The lack of Mayo and vinegar/oil. I asked for extra and got very little. There are best subs in Ocean City like Sideside Deli, Anthony's and Johnnys Pub. Will never recommend Primo Hoagies. read more

We ordered some sandwiches and asked that they not put pepper or oregano on the sandwich as these spices were listed on the receipt and did not ask for it. A red headed jerk said oh well the sandwich was made already and I told him I couldn't eat that and he took an attitude and made us wait an additional 20 minutes prior to the 20 minutes when we mentioned the spices. They said they had just started working on them. In the meantime they made and serviced many other customers and had us waiting. My husband was fuming at this point andasked them to cancel our order and the red head told us no refunds. We called Amex to dispute the charge since we didn't receive the food and complained about their service. No one should have to be forced to wait or to eat something they didn't order or are allergic to because they are too lazy. We also asked for it to be travel ready and I am sure they didn't pack it in that way either. Been to other Primos that have been amazing and this one needs better employees who need to understand that the customers come first. So if you are in OC, MD and want to eat whatever they slap together at this place without consent with a too bad so sad attitude then good luck to you. They don't deserve any stars but you can't post unless you add one. They need negative stars! read more

Wanted something different from the seafood extravaganza from the last 36 hours so did a Yelp Search and found this " Primo" #1 Hoagie spot. OMG, the Nonna's Veggie Hoagie! Delightfully devoured this and ordered a double; another one to go. The perfect symphony of lovely thinly sliced lightly breaded eggplant, sharp Provolone cheese, amazing non bitter and delicious broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and my request, pesto sauce. A sandwich shop can have the best ingredients but if the person making your food doesn't know what he is doing you are just wasting your hard earned money. Zero consistency from employee to employee. Today I had a meatball Parmigiana that was so bad I tossed it out the window. No gravy - No cheese. This sandwich would not have been sold like this in south Philly. Disgraceful... I absolutely love Liscios rolls and was happy to find out that they use them at primo's! I get my cheesesteak Baltimore style with LTM fried onions and hot peppers. The best!! I've tried cheesesteaks everywhere and these are amazing! The cold cuts are great too!! Generally speaking, I have always been pleased with the subs at Primos. Tonight, the woman taking our order was blatantly rude. Asking what came on a sub somehow triggered her to walk away from our order as if we were unruly was unspeakable. As it was my first time ordering, usually my husband orders, I emphatically apologize that I didn't know what was included on your subs, and had the audacity to ask the question and completely ruined her night is mind blowing. Not for nothing, but if in a customer service position, a customer asks a question about a product you are selling and that ruffles your feathers, you are in the wrong job. She was rude and walked away from us in the middle of our order, as if we were asking questions that came from Mars is mind blowing. The gentleman that finished our order had no problem, and completed our order without incident. The whole ordeal is unbelievable. I am dumbfounded that I was treated in such away. read more

Fantastic Hoagies and Great Vibe. We were in town for the weekend and decided to stop by for a relaxed dinner. We ordered an Italian sub and a Philly cheesesteak, and both were delicious! They were fresh with good flavor, and the portion sizes were perfect. We recommend trying out some of their unique chips, they were really delicious. What made the experience even better was catching the Ravens game at the bar next door. The atmosphere was laid-back and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a day out. Kudos to Primos! Had to order food for a group and in less than 24 hours, Primos stepped up to the plate & knocked in a home run. We ordered 2 of their Super Duper Platters, and got so much more than we bargained for! There were turkey, roast beef, spicy Italian, grilled veggie hoagies, with grilled and banana peppers, mayo and oil and vinegar on the side. There was plenty of variety for the 50 people in our group! We were hungry early so we asked to move up our pick up time and they worked with us and had the order ready when they said they would. The hoagies were delicious, too, with the bread being the star of the show. But, it deserves mention that the meats were fresh and not too much onion (I hate onion). read more

Avoid if you want any good service! Cannot rate the food because the guy making the sandwiches was a total Jack.....We ordered three sandwiches and they were not busy as normal and with no customers we noticed they were cleaning up but no food, after 30 minutes I had asked how much longer, the lady behind the counter (who was nice) asked the guy and he got made. Said it so loud and intentionally so we could hear " I told it was going to be 20 minutes, now they they can wait an hour". They forgot to make the order, got my money back, And they did not even care they were losing a customer!!!! Never again if this is the way they treat customers, their subs are not cheap...Get a new job but I would not trust them to make my food!!! Super good subs!! A little pricey, but it's worth it. You can tell a lot of effort goes into each ingredient and condiment on the sub which makes it taste so good and flavorful!! They also have so many options!! They only do takeout, unless you eat at Beach Barrels next door, they serve primos subs there. They only have a few seats along the window in the store and it's very small. But our subs came out shorty with barely any wait so the service was great! I called with about 25 minutes until close (closer than I'd like admittedly) to place an order for my family and got put on hold for about 15, at which point the call timed out and I had to call back. By that point they were no longer doing hot food. A bit annoying but ok, I'll switch the orders on the fly. We love this place and have been coming here for years! Being right across the street from our condo makes it the perfect beach meal for the whole family. However, their process during COVID-19 is unacceptable. During the several times we have picked up subs during the season we were met with ridiculous crowds inside. People should not be allowed to wait around inside the building and they shouldn't even be allowed to order indoors. Move the entire process online and let people pick up from a window, like other OC establishments have done. Additionally, if you're going to offer curbside and ask costumers to call when they're outside, someone needs to be ready to take the call. We would love to keep ordering from here because we love the subs, but something has to change for us to feel comfortable doing so. read more
