While not positioned as organic, the food reflects authentic Italian execution. The pizza stands out: a light, well-fermented airy crust, balanced and refined sauce, and thoughtfully curated toppings. The menu offers elevated, gourmet combinations without being overworked. Desserts are made in-house and well executed. The flourless cake, in particular, is rich without being heavy. Let me begin by saying, we have always been huge Ripieno's fans. It's a place we rave about and have always brought family to or suggested they dine at while in OCMD. The Greek salad and Margherita pizza is our go to, but we have had their cheesesteak subs, lasagna, and their various assortments of desserts. Ripieno's special-brew chai iced tea is something else that has always kept us coming back. That is until today. While the pizza and salad were still very good, they weren't as outstanding as they have been in the past. Customer service is not the same as it once was. When we ordered the chai tea, this evening, no orange and lemon slices were offered. As we were dining outside, I walked in to ask if they had orange and lemon slices for the iced-tea available. The cashier first seemed as though he didn't see me, and then when i caught his attention and asked about the slices of orange and lemon for the tea, he looked at me as if he didn't not know what I was talking about. I looked at the girl behind the counter that walked over with the salad dressing that had not been delivered with our salads and asked her about the fruit. She looked confused as well and said they didn't have any. The iced-tea on its own is very good, but the slices of orange and lemon really make it great! Back to the food...when our pizza was brought to the table, the gentleman that delivered it, (I think he may have been attending the wood-fire oven) threw our paper plates on the table. Next came the Greek salads. We were short two sets of silverware which was noticed by the second server. She said she would return with silverware, but didn't. So, I went back inside and asked for the two sets of silverware we needed. I was asked if I wanted plastic. I responded that I would prefer metal silverware. The girl disappeared and returned several minutes later with the silverware. I realize it is the busy season, but the restaurant was not busy. We've been during the busy season and in the off season and have always had wonderful experiences. I am truly hoping that this was a one-time thing, and that Ripieno's will return to the same familiar place we used to love to go. read more

Welcome to OC. Dinner happens every day even on vacation. Wanted a salad close to our hotel. We initially started out to just get a bite at McD's, but saw the menu for Ripieno's. We ordered our food and sat at a table waiting. It's a busy place with a lot of food options. Orders are placed, paid for and picked up at the register. Ordered an antipasto which was large enough for 2 (or eat it for 2 meals). Dressing was a herbaceous fresh vinegrette with fresh greens, red and green peppers, olives beautiful swirls of meats and cheese all piled high. SO ordered a steak sandwich which also was enjoyed as a second meal. Parking can be problematic, staff were very good, food was very good. Venue is a quick pick up place with no actual Italian ambiance other than pictures of the food. Ambiance is outside with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. Pizza can also be ordered with different size options. Staff will even give you paper plates and plastic utensils if you need then. read more

We ordered takeout from Ripieno's during our recent trip to OCMD. One of my friends called in the order and it was ready soon after our arrival (about 20 minutes or so). I was surprised to see that they shared a parking lot and perhaps ownership with the Burger King next door. Our receipt was from BK. We ordered a wood fired pizza with ricotta and meatballs. Ripieno's has the best New York style pizza we've found outside of NYC! So much better than the big pizza chains in OC. Service was excellent, and from what we saw others eating in the restaurant it looks like Ripieno's also has some great options for subs, salads, sandwiches, and traditional Italian entrees. It's open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM, and until 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. It's been awhile since I've truly had a great pizza. After hearing nothing but rave reviews about the wood-fired pies at Ripieno's, I knew I had to give it a try. Let me start by saying the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. The sauce and cheese were both excellent, but unfortunately, the crust didn't live up to expectations. It was one of the floppiest pizzas I've ever had, with zero crisp. The texture reminded me a bit of Neapolitan-style pizza, charred edges, but no crunch. That being said, the restaurant was incredibly busy during my visit, so it's possible the pizza was rushed. We ordered the 16-inch margarita pizza and 10-inch cheese pizza. We arrived 31-min after we called as we were told 30 min wait time. I had to wait another 5-min to get food. No problem. We get back to our hotel (7-min drive) and open the pizza and the margarita pizza is completely cold, cheese is stiff and crust is soggy (real soggy) and yes I know fresh mozzarella does put off water but this was out of control. However, our 10-inch pizza was really good. Hot, fresh and crispy crust. What it seems to me is they had a pizza they need to get rid of and pawned it off on me. They had to fresh make our cheese pizza. My family eats a lot of pizza and the nature of this margarita pizza, it had to be setting no less than 2 hours before I received it. Extremely unsatisfied as this place was rated really high. Guess moral of the story is check your food before walking out if you go here. read more

Once again, this place is FIRE!! We ordered our go to pepperoni and did not disappoint! We love how perfectly cooked and well balanced the flavors are. Sauce isn't too sweet and the extra shaved parmesan cheese completes it. Pizza was ready within 15 minutes of ordering at 6:30 at night. That is a busy time for sure as the tables had people in them and others waiting to order in line when we came to pick up. Always a good sign whenever there's a crowd! I'll be back for a shirt (gotta support the best restaurant ) and a Philly cheese steak before we leave this trip. This place stays on my GO TO list! read more

I have tried a good variety from this place, pizza, sandwiches, ice cream and every single item has been awesome. The customer service is consistently great too, which really adds to the overall experience. That said, the fries are a definite WEAK spot. They just do NOT live up to the quality of the rest of the menu and actually take away from an otherwise fantastic sandwich experience. My recommendation? Okay, I'm just gonna be frank, Ripieno's is my favorite place to get Italian food to Hoagies in OC. The hoagies are reasonably priced for the area and are incredible. This time I got a meatball sub which even a half which is 11 inches, was enough to fill both my wife and me for lunch. The marinara sauce is incredible and not too thick or sweet. This was our third time getting Ripieno's and my first review of it. The first two times I was not impressed when we went there. We first tried this place when it opened up years ago and then this past summer. But this time when we ordered takeout from there it was amazing. They rave about their meatballs, and I was like how good could a meatball be? The best meatball I've ever had was in Boston but then I had this meatball. I will never forget how good it was. The sauce was sweet with a hint of spice. The meatball was so tender it brought me an instant feeling of satisfaction and joy. I even think I shed a happy tear with that first bite. It was certainly the best meatball I've ever had and I've had so many meatballs in my life. The burrata on the side was a nice addition to the dish. It added a texture component that was really refreshing after eating, the meatball. I haven't even talked about the pizza but I'm going to now. We got a simple half cheese, half pepperoni pizza, and the crust had a perfect crisp to it with a chew and elasticity that people crave. I am a small pepperoni guy and these were big pieces of pepperoni, but they were perfectly crisp on the pizza and a crispy pepperoni on a pizza is a game changer and a lot of restaurants don't do it correctly, but this one nailed it. We also got a side order of brussels sprouts. The sauce was sweet with a hint of spice and it had perfectly cooked crispy bacon mixed in. What a great way to get a green vegetable in someone's body by making a sweet and spicy sauce and add crispy bacon. These three items are a must try at Ripieno's. The food was ready exactly when they said it would be. If you're going to order in season, when you call make sure they have the items you want because it is so popular they end up running out of things. The brick oven was the main draw for ordering here. I ordered the tomato and arugula pizza, onion rings and my husband ordered a chicken parm sub. The pizza was delicious with lots of toppings and well cooked with a nice crispy crust. The order of onion rings was plentiful and also cooked very well. My husband liked the sub but thought it was a little too salty. I really liked that you can watch the pizza being cooked while the person attending the oven took great care to ensure an even bake. Pizza is excellent! Bear in mind you're getting a wood brick oven pizza. The crust will be thin. If you are expecting a stiff crust go elsewhere. This is the best pizza I have had in ocean city. The place is hard to find. It's in a Burger King building. I drove past a couple times not actually looking at the Burger King. Smiley staff. You order from the counter and they bring you the food when it's ready. Also this pizza is amazing when cold. The next day I grabbed a leftover slice out of the fridge and it was awesome. You will be glad you got your pizza here. They have a full Italian menu but we just had pizza and fries. Fries were awesome and the portion was plenty for 3 people. We will be back. The sauce was excellent and the toppings generous. This one is an easy choice. Enjoy! read more

My son wanted pizza after we just went out to dinner ( of course), we were right by Papa John's but I wanted to try a local spot and this place popped up and I am so glad it did!!! The pizza is New York style (my fave) so a thinner crust but you can taste that it's made in a brick oven and the pepperonis were huge and thinly sliced with some parmesan cheese shavings on top- seriously DELICIOUS! (I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my food before eating it) - while in OC family and I stopped by and ordered a '16 inch pepperoni pizza and fries... truly the best quality in OC. We enjoyed pizza here on two occasions. The first time we had a wood fired cheese pizza to test the waters. After a few bites we ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza to go. However, I forgot to take photos. About 5 days ago we returned to the restaurant and ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and half mushroom. Had to have just one slice while still in the truck. Unfortunately several things we wanted to ordered we could not due to them being out of pesto ‍ Overall, would go back and even though the prices seem expensive the amount of food you're given is well worth it! Service was okay at best - definitely more of a carry out location. Ripieno's is one of those places that will have you hooked. So food is good and with so many items to choose from you'll definitely be back. When we came we order a 28 inch monster of a pizza that had bacon, over easy eggs, garlic, rosemary, etc... This pizza was no joke. The service left something to be desired, but we made the best of our time regardless. I definitely want to come back to check out more of the menu, and one thing thats big for me is that my whole family enjoyed Ripieno's. Best 16" pepperoni pizza ever!! Nice thin crust and full of flavor! Great find! Great staff, a lot of servers, very cordial, friendly and efficient. One table accommodated 10 of us, but there wasn't many more tables inside, but that was OK, because there are a lot of tables outside. This is our favorite pizza spot when in OC! Somehow we always end up back here. The ingredients are fresh and the service is amazing. Casual place where you order at the front a d they bring the pizzas out to your table. The red sauce here is amazing.. you can tell the tomatoes they use in their sauce is quality! Terribly disorganized. Nice staff but needs the owner/manager to step up. Been here twice and always chaotic. Customers waiting not sure where the line is people looking frustrated. Second time called our order in got there and was told the pizza was ready but no one had cooked the $10 onion rings so a "few" more minutes. 20 minutes goes by and someone remembers us standing there and decides to start the OR. The girl on the phone remembers and runs over to take OR out of fryer then goes back to phone 10 more minutes and we're handed our burnt $10 OR. We left with them and our now cold pizza.
