My wife & I loved this place. We ate here every morning for breakfast for four days, once for lunch and twice for dinner. We were staying at a nearby Airbnb and out of all the places we tried this place was by far the best! The chef was wonderful and just made everything taste delicious. We highly recommend the breakfast, eggs, turkey sausage & English muffins. The potatoes were ok could use some seasoning. The turkey dinner omg it was like the best thanksgiving meal. We loved all the servers especially Kim. She was so lovely and down to earth. The only recommendation I would offer is to make the menu options smaller. There are just too many choices. read more

We stopped here for breakfast on the ride home. This hidden gem is located in the Paynter's Mill area of Milton. We arrived at the perfect time with no crowds, but it started to get busy while we were there and it's a very small restaurant . Of course we had to have strawberry mimosas which were fruity and refreshing. The menu has so many good things to choose from and is mostly made from scratch. We went with fried zucchini and chicken and waffles. The fried zucchini was cooked perfectly and the chicken and waffles were light and fluffy waffles with crispy and juicy chicken. We will definitely be back to try other items in the menu, but it is always hard not to get chicken and waffles every time when you find a place that makes a really great version. We dined here after the lunch hour during the week. It was not busy so that was nice. It is a very small restaurant but nice. The service was veryfriendly but sometimes not as attentive as I would like when I needed a refill on my tea. The food was mixed, I had a western omelette and had to pay $2.50 for cheese and there was hardly any there and the side of potatoes was a small portion. Not a big fan of my. meal. The good: Food was great. The bad: the wait time. The kitchen was understaffed. We waited an hour for our food and several tables were served before us that came 15 minutes after us. I spoke with the manager who did not seem to care. He stated there was nothing he could do: they were short staffed and could not hire enough workers, and what could he do? He could have offered us a discount, a free meal, or an actual apology instead of excuses but this did not happen. For the record, there are no help wanted signs outside this business or on its Facebook page, despite the fact their kitchen is likely understaffed. I tipped the waitress well as it was not her fault, but the management does not understand how to treat customers in the restaurant industry. read more

I've been here a few times recently, 2 times for lunch and then today for breakfast. It's a really cute spot, small but nicely decorated with herbs and cherry tomatoes growing out front. All meals were great, first time I had a cheesesteak, it was delicious, I am a harsh critic as I'm from Philadelphia, this was really good with the proper roll.i ate it to fast to get a photo ! The next visit I had a blt, basic but tasty. Very good fries. Today we went for breakfast, the place was mobbed. We waited for about 20 minutes, and were then seated. Service was great, the staff was very efficient. The omelettes were great, perfectly cooked, but the sausage was amazing, not your normal frozen sausage. We've been coming to The Nook on and off over the past few years. I have to say it's a quaint little place that try's really hard and it shows. We've eaten here at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We know what it is, it's good food, priced right. There's times when I don't feel like cooking so we stop in here. I have to say how consistent it is (feels like they make a lot to order), and consistency is a key with me and with any restaurant. Super weird experience today. We entered as a party of four. They had open two-tops that could be pushed together, but we were told we had to wait for a larger table because there might be parties of two entering, and they wanted to be able to seat them. ???? Huh? So we said that we were willing to be seated as two parties of two near each other. AND THEY STILL WOULD NOT SEAT US. Why? So bizarre. We walked into a restaurant that had multiple empty tables, but they refused to seat us because they wanted to optimize seating for theoretical future seating? I loved the Nook, but this has totally changed my vibe. They won't care that I don't come back, but it makes me very sad that that they are so overt about their lack of caring about their customers. They really should give the place a general "spruce up" so the facility matches the food. The seating is mismatched and tired looking. Menus are beat up and bent. Lots of signs and menus are scotch taped to the windows and walls. Aopwer cord hung randomly. The "open" sign is duct taped to the window. A painting is hung in weird location. Well I ordered the Turkey dinners for 4-5 people for $120. It was ready at 12:00 piping hot and well wrapped. Everything from the mashed potatoes to the cranberry sauce was delicious, really good.
