A couple things to note -- they only offer canned cocktails, which may not be for everyone, and it felt a bit overpriced for what you get. You order at the bar and they send you back with the drinks. A server will bring your food out and will help clean up. It's a cute spot with about 6 tables inside and a few tables outside with high chairs. There's window seating and one booth in the back. They have 2 gender inclusive restrooms. The garden salad with the champagne vinaigrette was delicious! We split it 3 ways and it was the perfect side portion. We all enjoyed our pizzas. The artichokes were the only part that wasn't as enjoyable as a bunch of them were pretty fibrous, perhaps the choke parts not fully cooked or removed. read more

Always delicious. Pizzas are wood fired, six pieces, rectangular and tasty. My current two favorites include the Spicy Meatball and Spinach Salad. I also enjoy the house salad. You can get a decent bottle of wine & have a nice meal inside or on their covered patio. Good service but it's popular so you may have to wait for a table. It's a fairly small restaurant and you order at the counter. It's loud if it is busy but a cozy spot. *TIP - currently on Wednesday you get a free pizza if you buy a bottle of wine. read more

We have visited Lewes almost every summer since 2009 and we have loved Half Full. It's always a stop for us but this year, the pizza crust dough has changed. It's no longer thicker like pizza crust but more like a thicker flatbread with a cracker texture. The pizza is still good but not as good with the new dough recipe. We still love the pizza choices and the wonderful wines but the pizza is definitely a little "less than" what it used to be. We still recommend it though. read more

Overall I was very impressed with Half Full and would definitely like to make return visits. Came by off season and was able to get two seats at the window. Sitting is self served and you order at the counter, but servers bring food and refills if needed. Ordered the spinach pizza, dubliner pizza, kale salad, and tap red and white wine. Very good pours of the wine. White wine was better than the red but overall both were good. Salad came first and my wife wasnt feeling it, but I thought it was very good. Pizzas came out at a good pace and both were amazing. My wife generally doesnt like pizza with veggies but loved this one. Prices were reasonable for the time and place. We were able to get seats right when we came in, but definitely on season or better weather would be a wait. Did not get dessert but they did have some that looked OK. Overall I highly recommend. Was in the mood for pizza so decided to try this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is amazing and has some of the best cheese I've had on a pie. I love this place. I have come here for the past 3 summers with my friends who live in town and it is my only request! My favorite is the crab corn pizza. After an evening Lighthouse Cruise we came into town for a bite to eat. As usual long wait times at Agave and Kindle so on a whim I stuck my head in Half Full. Luckily a high hat was open and we grabbed a seat. This was going to be our first visit and man, it did not disappoint!! The spicy meatball pie was AWESOME!!! Perfection pure and simple! When I go around town to hot restaurants, they are all pretty noisy, for a lot of reasons, I think. I guess people feel the sound conveys a sense of vibrancy and energy, when they decide whether to wait an hr or so for a table. But here's the thing: Loud restaurants aren't just irksome, they dampen the vibe I feel when I eat. We did not have to say. What did you say?" "Can you repeat that?" and "It's so loud in here" are now phrases as common as "Can I take your order?" I understand, no one wants to walk into a mausoleum/ crypt to eat and this place feels alive and vibrant without all the other noisy stuff. There was even a family next to us with 2 children and we did not hear them once except when the child had a mishap as they were leaving. This place has great acoustics and is designed to absorb the icky annoying sounds. We were looking for a table for 4 when we arrived and had been told at other places the wait was an hour or so and some with 45 minutes. I was starving and cold and we got lucky and go in here in less than 5 minutes. Timing is everything. We had the Mushroom Kale pizza (8x12 inches) for $12 it had Tuscan kale, Kennett square portabella mushrooms that tasted spectacular to me, asiago, balsamic glaze, basil pesto sauce. (Look it up to see what Kennett square famous as the "Mushrooms Capital of the World" Check out the pictures and yes, it was the best pizza I have had in awhile. The crust is thin and cooked to perfection on parchment paper. It was topped with whole milk mozzarella cheese. It provided enough for two hungry people. The house salad for $7 was a steal. It had baby greens, crumbled goat and sheep's milk feta with diced tomatoes, and lots of big artichokes hearts, roasted red peppers with a soft delicious creamy house dressing that was not over powering. (I typically don't like creamy dressings, but this was very delicious and light tasting with a little bit of heat /spice to it.) ! For dessert try the optimist bar, it tastes like a Blondie bar. Yummy And here's the thing the service was outstanding, very responsive and attentive! From the hostess to the waitress who brought out our food after we placed the order at the counter where we picked up our beers. Bravo Half Full! One last thing...they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I guess you and I will have to visit their sister restaurants stripperbites dot com and kindlerestaurant dot com and it seems like on Wednesday they have specials, so go to their restaurant website to find out what it is (April 2018) buy a bottle of wine, get a FREE pizza.very cool of 'em (extra toppings not included) read more
