First the staff: they were very nice and it looked like they all were working very hard. So no complaints. Now the pizza: I was originally going to say it's just an average slice of pizza that you can get anywhere else, but that wouldn't exactly be true. I don't know what it is, but there's something in the sauce that adds just a hint of heat to it. And the crust, for as thin as it is, was great. Very crispy and tasty. I will definitely have to go in there and try some other food from them. But for a couple of quick slices, you probably can't beat it for the area. read more

Pizza Villa offers a classic NY style pizza. The pizza tomato sauce is a little sweet and a little spicy IMHO - which I like! The crust is thin but not too thin and slightly crispy. Our last pizza order was a little cold so I had to reheat it but my daughter loved her plain cheese pizza and our pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza was very good. I have not tried the cheesesteak yet but that is for the next visit. read more

I driven by the local spot numerous times traveling up and down route #1. This little restaurant is nothing fancy. To my surprise the service was very attentive and quick. Guess what folks ... this might be the best pizza on the beach? Again it's not fancy but this is the mom & pop or mall pizza you remember as a kid Gen X & Boomers? The slices are generous with toppings. Hot, cheesy and crispy! Exactly what I have been searching for in the Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey area. I can't believe being a Rehoboth Beach vacationer/local for basically my whole life, myself & my family have never tried Pizza Villa?! I called ahead and ordered a large cheese, large pepperoni pie, & mozzarella sticks. The wait time was just a little longer than I expected, but that's fine. I was eager to try a new spot. It's CASH ONLY. The inside is definitely giving an old school pizza joint you & your friends would frequent after school. Pizza was hot, fresh & greasy. The man making the pizza was very kind and hardworking. We all tore it up! It's nice to have a (new to us) pizza spot to enjoy, instead of the usual Nicola, Grotto's, or Amore Pizza. read more

The high rating for this pizza joint is incredibly misleading. As I sit here with a greasy stomach ache typing this, we couldn't let another moment go by without warning others of our experience. This shop is run by a handful of elderly ladies, some cute, some grumpy; reminiscent of cafeteria workers. And the food certainly matches. It seems that their menu is almost completely comprised of reheated frozen foods, overpriced, greasy, and leaving you feeling a step closer to the grave. The diner is littered with money pits of claw machines that dash children's hopes for a toy, and various other coin and dollar eating children's games. The cherry on top is that this establishment is cash only to add to our list of concerns. Best of luck! read more

Food is nothing special , but the service is horrible. 2 very RUDE employees, it was like they were doing us a favor for just being there. Worst of all , even with dine in service , they won't allow you to use the restroom. Bring hand sanitizer to wash your hands and a fresh diaper incase you need to use the restroom. I love this place!! It is charmingly quirky, a dive, and has lots of "rules" posted here and there. Add in the pinball machines and other old--timey games, and it's a hoot. One item on the menu is called "jamming shrimp." I asked what that was and the guy behind the counter starts playing his air guitar and says the shrimp are Jammin'. After ordering them, I can tell you, they are jammin' with cheese. Breaded, deep fried shrimp, somehow stuffed with cheese. So each bite gives you some crispy breading, shrimp, and melted cheese. Tasty stuff. One night I placed an order to carry home: a large veggie pizza, crab bites, and chicken wings. Then I said to the lady at the counter ... "I better order a house salad, so I have a vitamin with all this." She doesn't miss a beat, "You have all those veggies on your veggie pizza." "Good point," I say. "Did you still want to order that salad?" She never cracked a smile LOL And I did go ahead and order the salad. So why am I including all this? The place is quirky, but, to me has charm. I've eaten there 100+ times over the years. Best cheese steaks in the state. Loaded with meat and a little greasy/oily, but that is what gives them the great taste. The pizza, fries and subs are also great. The "Lavero" is loaded with premium meats. As a rule they toast them but I get them cold. As for people here complaining about all the "rules" signs, most of them are sarcasm that obviously went over their heads. Go there. read more

I finally found my favorite pizza in Rehobeth Beach DE after trying for 2.5 months and tasting all of the pizzas in the Lewes and Rehobeth Beach area; Pizza Villa. By the way their Italian hoagies are also in the top 3 in the area as well. I am a pizza fanatic and grew up in Philadelphia eating lots of pizza. I have moved back to the east coast after 27 years living out of state and at times out of the country. I make a lot of pizza with my home made dough and am admittedly a pizza snob. The dough / crust is everything, and for some reason Delaware is one of the few states that doesn't seem to have its own identity for pizza types. Most of the pizza places have crust that tastes and feels more like a biscuit than pizza. A tan colored series of bake-marks on the bottom that come from using things like butter or an oil other than extra virgin olive oil, that are baked in some type of pan or tray. This type of pizza just doesn't work for me; no offense intended to those restaurants. There are a handful of excellent Neopolitan style pizza restaurants in the area that have a great dough cooked in wood burning pizza ovens that I greatly enjoy. But I prefer a traditional style pizza as my go-to that I could eat 7 days a week, and a Neopolitan style every once in a while. This could be my "Friday night" pizza place. read more

Went here as it was recommended for their cheesesteaks. Not bad but I only ate in as I thought would get steak in a basket. Instead it was wrapped. I hate wrapped cheesesteaks as roll goes soggy etc. curly fries were great. Gonna go back as I didn't know they do slices which is so hard to find now. A native Philadelphian with home roots in Lewes. I can only add my review on Pizza Villa's steak sandwiches since I have not tried their pizza. Every time I order I want to try their pizza but I love their steak sandwiches so much I end up getting that. The steak is chopped on the grill, not greasy, fresh roll, tasty and so good going down. I started getting my sandwich under the grill which I really like.I have not tasted a better steak sandwich than Pizza Villa! Friendly environment and clean. read more

Stopped in for pizza before going to the movie. Strange little place. There are signs everywhere telling you what you can and can't do. "NO CASH", "No one Allowed beyond this point" "No Loitering, Inside or Outside". More signs than I can remember, which gave the place a very unfriendly feeling. This is a basic pizza joint. Plastic booths, video games, paper plates and cups. There is also a side room with table service and a bar, but we did not visit that side. The pizza is greasy. The kind of greasy that has pools of grease that you have to mop up with napkins off of the pizza before you eat it. The best thing about this place is the proximity to the movie theater. read more

This is the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. Every year when we go to visit Delaware, my family and I always stop into what my mother has always called the "Pizza Dive Bar" that has barely changed since I was a kid some 30 years ago, The walls are adorned with beautiful Elvis artwork and the pizza has remained unchanged over the years. It is greasy, saucy and AWESOME! It has to be something in the water. The employees are sweet and not unfriendly like some of the reviews on here. Some days it takes a little longer to get your food, depending on what you order so if you read the sign, it states that everything is made to order. I am not surprised by the poor comments for the ambiance, but really surprised by low pizza ratings. I am a local and me and a bunch of other guys did a March Madness type thing to find out the best pizza in the area. We ate a slice of pepperoni from two different places and picked a winner from the two. We did this until we had a winner from 17 contestants (Pizza Hut played Dominoes in a play in for the 16th spot). Pizza Villa actually won. They made the perfect pie for the championship. A couple of us stood around it after it came out of the oven and agreed it was perfect. If the dude with white hair and all the tat's made your pizza you will be very happy.
