We ordered the eggplant stack and a carbonara "sorta" pizza. The eggplant stack was like a deconstructed eggplant parmesan . The eggplant was perfectly fried and the ricotta mix in between the fried eggplant was flavorful. I would return for this alone! And yet when they brought out the pizza, I was mesmerized. I've never eaten peas on a pizza before and this was just divine! Cheesy pizza with slices of ham, dollops of more of the delicious flavored ricotta on top. WOW. Vibe was cool. This is a cute and chill spot for pizza in Rehoboth beach. They don't take reservations, they're very easy going, it's much better than Grotto's, and it's a great stop before going to Funland. I honestly enjoyed the caesar salad and Pepperoni pizza a lot. Service wasn't super speedy, but it was acceptable, the drink menu is long and the wines by the glass are good, and nice and cold for this spot, and the pizza is tasty. No it's not your NY amazing pizza, it is floppy, and it lacks the char that I would really really want, but it's the best pizza I've had in Delaware. I asked what was good and was told, without hesitation, that League Deep Dish pepperoni pizza was delicious. He said it would easily be enough for all three of us. He understated on both counts! We were warned it would take 35-40 minutes to make but it was worth the wait -- AMAZING! I mean, this was one of the best pizzas (if not the best) I've ever eaten!! We always have our pizza dinner here when visiting Rehoboth Beach. Pizza is always fresh and tastes fantastic. We have had 4-5 different versions and they were all great. A very good pizza option in the vicinity of Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. Perhaps the best pizza in the area. This parlor serves Roman Style pizza which is thin with crispy crust. Because it is baked at a lower temperature, it takes longer to prepare as was the case on this visit. Not a problem, but be patient as your pizza is being prepared. On this visit, there were no other patrons in the restaurant as I believe I arrived shortly after opening. Because of that the experience felt more private. The customer service was very good and friendly. I believe the two individuals I chatted with were on the ownership/management team. What I appreciate is the kid-friendly accommodations. The garlic bread was absolutely delicious and so was the pizza. I do wish the bottom of the pizza was a little more rigid and capable of holding up the topping better. My first experience with the pizza from this place was a takeout order. We sampled the Pepperoni 101 and the Sausage and Peppers. The pepperoni was crispy and with had loads of little pepperoni slices. Of course, my traveling friends have noted that you don't really see pepperoni served in Italy, but it's a staple over here! Very flavorful sausage and peppers, a lot less heavy on the meat topping than the pepperoni. We visited the restaurant on a rainy evening. Not at all crowded. Decor is old style American pizza place, even the beer mugs are the old heavy glass. Cute, but a much smaller pour than a pint. The white lightening is tasty with these crispy kale chips. The spicy boy is a very flavorful. Note, the anchovies on the Caesar are an upcharge. Not your average pizza and priced for it as well. In search of a quick bite to eat, Yelp led me to "the best pizza spot" in Delaware, or so it was described. The service was awesome, I can't lie, but I can't help but feel a little underwhelmed with the product. My pizza - the spicy Italian was just ok, and that was the overall sentiment from my entire family. My wife had a all white pizza with a bunch of veggies and feta cheese that she didn't love, my daughter got a meatball calzone that she didn't eat, and the half cheese half pepperoni was just ok. The wife and I ordered two Espresso Martini's that were a little on the non traditional side considering that's my go to drink and it didn't look, nor taste like any that I've had in the past. I think the part that got me the most was how expensive this place was, three pizzas, two drinks and a calzone ran me for $170 bucks. Never one to complain or be cheap, we simply paid the bill and vowed to never return. I hate to write such a poor review because my waitress and business boy were extremely nice and I loved everything about our interactions with them. But that's where the good begins and ends. Husband and I went because it was highly recommended by a couple of bartenders at another restaurant, and I looove Italian food. To start: $5 for a bottle of coke $12 for maybe 4 ounces of house wine I ordered the pasta in vodka sauce. The sauce was red, which means it lacked the cream to make it that pink color. We had really high hopes for Dalmata since we have big fans of Fable (same owners), but maybe they should stick to French food. We appreciated the good service and there were some high points to the meal. The limoncello martini was super tasty and came with a chilled side car - basically a second drink! The bartender was super nice and our server was too. We started off our meal with the nonna knots which were baked and seasoned nicely. The marinara they came with seemed more like tomato paste than sauce. The Caesar salad was served on a chilled plate (major points there), the lettuce fresh and the dressing was lemony and creamy. But then we get to our pastas and those were not good... their sauces are more like sautéed meat. Where's the tomato sauce?! My "bolognese" was just a plate of undercooked pasta with meat on top. My husband's pork ragù was just pulled pork on overcooked pasta and some braising liquid. Superrrrr disappointing. We haven't had their pizza so can't comment on that.
