Grandpa mac - regular size which is plenty for a family of four to share. Looks small but packs a punch. Cheesy, right balance of cheeses, generous portion of mac. What makes this dish so good was that it didn't feel oily nor did it feel like a heavy meal. Mac and cheese squares - not sure how they got this into a square but I dig it. Fried to perfection without overdoing it. Crunchy on the outside, cheesy heaven on the inside. The extra cheese sauce just makes it that much better! I dipped everything we ordered in that tiny tub of cheese. Ordered two kids meals - chicken tenders and a small mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were a surprising win here. Lightly breaded, flavorful, juicy chicken. I truly enjoyed this, along with the small side of broccoli. Oh yeah, the kids really liked it too. Ha! Waited an hour for our food. Complained. Found out they sent our food out on delivery and forgot to remake our dishes. We finally got the food and it was definitely not worth the wait. I don't know if we got crappy versions because it was late and they rushed to give us food, but there was nothing impressive. I got the Fun Guy (rigatoni pasta, cheese sauce, mushroom, bacon, caramelized onion, gruyere, thyme, bread crumbs) and it tasted like pasta in creamy onion sauce. There was no smoky flavor from the bacon, no earthy flavor from the mushroom, no edge from the gruyere, no herbal note from the thyme. It was sooooo boring. My son and husband didn't like their dishes, either. $9+ for a tiny portion (like a side at other restaurants) of cooked pasta in a bland watery white sauce is nutz. I know the prices seem nice in comparison to the more expensive places, but I'd rather have spent the $10 from my tiny (they call it regular size) Fun Guy on something flavorful someplace else. I eat a bit more, got the medium, and was only able to get through 2/3 of it. We ordered the "I'm a fun guy" with added chicken, the "eastern shore, a build your own with cheese sauce and chicken, and a "grandpa Mac" with added mushrooms and green onion. Also tried the garlic bread. All were great. My only complaint was that the chicken they use seems to be just boiled unseasoned chicken. It was a bit tough and had no flavor. I would have appreciated something a little more tender and flavorful/seasoned. My kids picked through and would not even eat the chicken. The cashier was very friendly and everyone seemed pleasant inside. Overall, I would go again and look forward to trying something else there.
