Great Pizza. Hidden gem. N.Y. Style. Have parking but not a place to "sit-in" and dine, it's more like POMODORO Pizza ambiance. Munchies is definitely on the level of Pizza as Pomodoro Pizza. HANDS DOWN the two BEST N.Y. STYLE PIZZA IN THE AREA. Parking is convenient, which is great to now have to drive around looking for a spot. I decided to order a pizza on this evening due to having a couple of exhausting days. We decided it was time to take a rest after all the running we had been doing for the last few days. I realized after that we can get good pizza outside of NYC. This one was different though, I am used to some good, crunchy crust with some softness inside. This crust was just soft, where it excelled was with the flavor. The sauce and the cheese were so good it overshadowed the short comings with the crust. The service was great as they delivered it fast and hot. Maybe it would have been perfect if they let it cook a little longer and not be so quick to deliver. read more

This is just a pizza review! Ordered pizza for the first time the other night and was quite disappointed with the pizza. The owner had really boasted about how good a pizza he was gonna make prior to them serving pizza. So I was looking forward to a great pizza as the other food that I have had has been amazing! Meat lovers was lacking the meat compared to other comparable local pizza places. The cheese amount was perfect. For a 16" pie the price is a bit steep @$23.99! There is nothing special about it to warrant the price. I visited Munchies Grill with my sister Saturday august 16. We looked at the menu and both chose the Buffalo Shrimp Salads. After about ten minutes they served us our food. It was very delicious. We were able to dine in. The facilities were very clean as was the restaurant. It is conveniently located close to a package store and about a half mile from G.E. Hickmans. The personnel at Munchies are very friendly. I am from New York and I visit the area quite often and I am very happy that we discovered this gem. We plan on ordering and visiting here as. soon as we returned. I have already recommended "Munchies"to other beachgoers!! read more

I visited Munchies the other day hoping to get a much raved about cheesesteak sub for lunch and to support the place, because I read about it on Facebook. This mostly take-out grill is tucked all the way back on Cedar Neck Rd. and has no ambience. When I saw a price of $17.00 for a cheesesteak, I changed my mind and left. IMHO that's a lot to spend on lunch for a sub sandwich. I think his prices may need some adjustments. The man there insisted to know why I was leaving without ordering. When I very politely told him why , he was not very pleasant. I would not return there. read more

This place is incredible. The food was amazing, the service was better. Super funny guys who work hard to make our food fast yet still so good. The restaurant is a small restaurant but the ambience is very homey and makes for a great dining experience. All in all this restaurant is a 10/10 I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is in the area. read more

Having read the reviews, we had to give it a try. We ordered from next door at the brewery so when I called in my order, they were more than accommodating to the idea of bringing it over to us (I guess they do it a lot). We ordered a Cheesesteak a pizza, mac and cheese bits, fries, and loaded fries. The cheesesteak...I read some reviews saying they were they best ones people have ever eaten. Do I think it was the best one i've ever had? No...but it was solid and I would definitely order it again (although I didn't see or taste and of the mushroom that was supposed to be on it). Fries/loaded fries...If you like the "coated or battered" fries, these were really good. Crispy for takeout which again, we were right next door, but crispy fries can be hard to come by. My daughter loved the loaded fries but after wolfing down the mac and cheese bites, she didn't have room for many...she said they were awesome warmed up though and she got three meals/snacks out of them. The star of the show by far was the pizza...lit is was ALL good, but the pizza???? Wowza! It was awesome. I love that they didn't skimp on the cheese, and the flavor was amazing. We've found our new favorite pizza in the area and will for SURE be getting that again. We will def be going back, and I know there are a lot of other items we want to try... ordered from Munchies for delivery and order said delivery at 7:23. At 7:33, no food, so I called. I was told it would be there in 5 more minutes, it was on the way. 7:50, still no food. Called again, again "5 more minutes". When I said we've already been told that, they called the driver. Called us back and said 2 more minutes. Another 5 minutes later, the food arrived. Was 8:03. This is our second time visiting Munchies the first time we had Stromboli's a sausage and pepperoni they were amazing, so delicious. The staff was friendly and let us know they were new to the area. We went again today and got a Mushroom pizza. It reminds me of NYC pizza in that the crust is thin yet a little crispy. We have tried a few other places in the area. Got lunch from here with some people I work with. The turkey salad had "at least a pound of turkey and cheese" on it, the greek salad was great, and my steak quesadilla was cooked perfectly and had tons of food inside (it was a cheesesteak quesadilla, not, like, steak, but still great). Delivery was only $2 which you can't beat. The employee that took the order was very polite on the phone and double checked the address and the man who dropped the food off came right when they said he'd be there. Found this hole-in-the-wall place while looking for a place to eat at in Bethany. They have a wide variety of food options ranging from sandwiches to pizzas to wings to even pasta and more. The price was great especially for the amount of food you get ($14 for lunch of a huge cheesesteak with a large fry and a large drink). The cheesesteak I had was okay but they only added meat and cheese so if you want more toppings, make sure to include it in your order. Overall, I would go back here again if I need somewhere to eat in Bethany Beach and don't want to spend tons of money. read more

It was a miserable rainy beach day today so my family & I stayed in & watched movies all day. Since we were all pajama'd up & didn't want to put on real clothes, we decided to order carry out for dinner and tried Munchies based on the menu we saw online. We are all so glad we did! Munchies has only been open, under its new owners, for a month and they seem to be doing everything right! We placed a big order: a meatball parmigiana sub, a classic cheesesteak, a burger, a chicken strip basket, and a fettuccine Alfredo with chicken & broccoli, plus onion rings, and mac & cheese bites. Everything was delicious and the portions were extremely generous! My husband is a meatball connoisseur () & loves to try subs wherever he goes. This one one of his favorites! My chessesteak sub was delicious, the grilled mushrooms & onions really added to the flavor. My daughter loved her chicken strips, nicely breaded, not at all greasy, and really good seasoned fries. My son's burger was excellent: fresh lettuce & tomatoes & a bun that held up. The big winner was my other son with the fettuccine. Huge amount of chicken, fresh broccoli (and so well cooked) with a side salad the size of a dinner salad and garlic bread, a meal big enough for 2! Our onion rings & mac & cheese bites were clearly made in house, not frozen. We loved everything we got from Munchies, even the pleasant conversation with the owner when we were picking up. We'll be here a few more days & I wouldn't be surprised if we order from Munchies again before we go home. We wish them all the best & hope Munchies is around for years to come! After originally passing it by due to average reviews of the previous ownership, ended up at Munchies and it was a perfect fit, especially with 6 young kids in the beach house. New owner is a good dude and seems to take pride in the food. Ended up going back the next night due to the variety of the menu! Steak and cheese, pizza steak, buffalo chicken wrap, chicken fingers and nachos were all winners in our book and he even hooked a couple kids up with a grilled cheese not on the menu. Tiffany on the front of the house was awesome. She ended up dealing with cooking and all other aspects of the restaurant. They were short staffed. We were at Bethany brewery right next store and she brought us our food. Pay tips in cash. The owner keeps the tips. Tiffany is awesome. Maybe minimize the menu stick to a few things so it's easier for the staff to cook things. What we got which was pizza and tacos. Also jaleponos poppers and a cheesesteak egg rolls were great.
