Build your own pizza.

Decided to try Pop's Kitchen on way home from a shopping trip. It is an old style mom and pop pizza parlor. Tomato and basil soup was great as was the cream of broccoli. I ordered a small 12" build your own, pepperoni and sausage. When the brought it out the waitress said sorry but the made a mistake and made a large! I offered to pay the difference but was told it was ok as it was their mistake. Pizza was just like I remember as a kid In Baltimore going to the local pizza joint. If you are in the area give it a try. They have a decent menu with something for everyone. Needless to say I added more to the tip jar. Great service and friendly staff. Town center of Berlin for a stroll is an added bonus.

We were shopping in Berlin for the afternoon; as one does and wanted a light easy dinner. Pop's fit the bill. Such a great addition to Berlin. They have a very extensive menu including house made soups. We opted for the special flatbread which included a salad. The dough was fresh made; you could tell! It was tasty. You can park in the back which is great and needed for the area. They have a restroom but you need to get the key at the counter. A fun surprise was the local artists works on the walls. You want non chain and excellent pizza? This is the place to find it.

Stopped here on the way through MD. Cute little spot with a good variation and always have specials. Food was pretty good and came out very hot which was nice. The fries had a nice crisp to them but soft inside. Chicken parm sub we had to ask for to make sure they can actually make it with chicken (their menu has a meatless one) but was filled with sauce and cheese and a good helping of chicken. The Rachel rueben was very tasty and saucy- just the way my wife likes it.

My lady and I came here fire a quick lunch, we had the crabby pizza, it was tasty and loved the crust, slightly salty, it came with a house salad which by itself was generous but they gave us an extra one which was super cool, will be back, closed on Sunday and Monday, service was friendly and fast

Best homemade soups - always at least 4. Probably the best crab soup at the beach. Terrific carryout!

Unfortunately, they booked a party of at least 60 people for the second floor dining room. Every table was reserved for this party. The restaurant is way too small and did not have enough staff to handle a large group like that. The patrons who were already seated on the second floor were basically ignored after the large group started pouring in. They did not have enough tables or chairs for that group and the dining room was far too crowded for comfort. Kids from the group were running back and forth between their tables and the restroom. They were in the way of the staff serving food and drinks and none of the parents were doing anything to corral their children. People coming into the restaurant were taking one look into the dining room and leaving. They should have closed the second floor dining room and not sent people up there who were not with the large group. Cramming people in around the bar and a tiny side bar was just not a good idea. By the time the room was packed with people from the large party, it was so loud that I couldn't even have a conversation with my husband who was sitting right next to me.

All of the appetizers and entrees we loved were gone. Food was bland, no flavor at all. Cheesesteak egg rolls full of chewy fat and the only flavor was overpowering green chilies. Who takes Ahi Tuna off the appetizer list? Apparently the "chef" in charge is making very bad decisions and needs some continuing education classes. Sadly we won't be back. Shame though, we really enjoyed it before all of the changes even though the service was always slow, the food made up for it, not so much now.

Consider this wonderful restaurant a fine dining steak house wrapped in blue jeans and boat shoes…read more Julian, our attentive server, who will soon be departing for the Coast Guard, (Thank you for your Service), listened attentively as I described how I wanted my Bone-in Ribeye prepared. Of course, Pittsburgh with warm center. Substitute a whole sliced tomato for the potato, (delicious) and perfect grilled asparagus. I still brought home enough for a generous steak sandwich! My wife had the happy hour fish bites. They were fluffy and expertly prepared. Back to the steak... there is a shortage of good steakhouses in the area and I am hoping they will add fresh cuts to the menu as exceptional offerings become available. The chef did an outstanding job preparing the steak, rivaling Bones and Chops in Atlanta, and Cattleman's in Fort Worth. Still a half step from Chicago's Harry Carey's, but at a price point at or less than half. Folks, I hesitate to rave, for fear that I can't get in, or they will run out of steak, but if you want a superlative steak dinner, at a bargain price, join me at Pines. The bone in Ribeye is the best I've had in quite a while, including Texas. Julian is the best. His enthusiasm alone adds to the great experience.
