Cheese Pizza w/ chicken and pineapple

Small Italien place off the main road. Definitely recommendable, pizza was tasty, crunchy and fast. Service was excellent and fast, too. Visited in a Sunday early afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all. Coming from DC and can't remember when I visited a place with real table cover that gets changed after every party, that was not $$$ or higher and had real silverware. That shows me they care Would stop here again.

Buffalo pizza on left, veggie and meat on right!

My wife and I stopped there for lunch, on the way to Ocean City, MD. We each ordered a small pizza. Wow! What a moth-watering experience! The crust was thin and was very delicious, the toppings cooked just right. Rebecca, waited on us, she's very courteous and efficient. We will definitely go back! See the pictures! The interior was clean and decorated nicely. They have a stage for high time performers.

Quality appears to be fading at Burn Wood Fired Pizza. We ordered Rustica and Sweet Burn pizzas and were disappointed. First, the dough and crust were soft like supermarket pizza. The sauce on the Rustica tasted like and had the consistency of tomato paste. And the Sweet Burn was flavorless. Advertised as wood fired pizza, but really it's about what I would have expected from the Food Lion a couple hundred yards away. We also ordered the oven baked brussel sprouts, which we enjoyed. They were moist and were prepared with onions. I think they had a basalmic reduction on previous visits but this time they mighta had a dusting of cheese.

I had never been to "Burn Wood Fired Pizza" and I have wanted to eat here for a long time, but it never works out for me. I asked Brittney (bartender) what's the bestselling pie? she said it was the "Godzilla" which had sausage, meatballs, capicola, and pepperoni. That sounded like way too much meat for me. She then said the next bestseller would be the "Margherita". But I wasn't feeling that because I wanted some kind of meat on my pie. She was eating the "Bianca" with side of balsamic vinegar. I always trust what the employees are eating so that's what I went with. This was the best white pizza with prosciutto I have ever had. The prosciutto was so fresh, and the summer taste of basil was perfect. Definitely ask for the side of balsamic vinegar. The acidity is a game changer on this pizza it gives a tangy tart flavor. The slice was large and wide and perfect for fold hold. squisito!

Burn's white pizza

Five friends of mine and I were here Friday night for dinner. I had the white pizza, which was awesome with tons of flavor. They have a brick oven, so even though the crust is burnt, it's just on the outside and it still maintains all of its flavor. I should also note that the small pizza has 6 slices and could feed two people. The others had pasta and two of them had regular tomato based pizzas. Everyone loved what they got. My only minor complaint is that I wish they had olive oil, cause I like that on a white pizza. They had a blues band there as well which we all enjoyed, and some of us old farts even got up and danced. The crowd was mixed, leaning towards the younger side. In short, highly recommended!

Traveling down to ocean city for the weekend and we wanted to visit Berlin. We ordered a custom pizza and a eggplant sub. I think the sauce had such great flavor as well as all the toppings. My problem with the sub or with any sandwich the bread to filling ratio. The sub roll was swallowing the eggplant parm. Cool aesthetic on the inside with a full bar. Would not go out of my way to come here again but very good.

Tucked in west Ocean City in a unassuming area, there is a small parking lot- which we were able to snag a parking spot. We made a reservation for 8:45 and walked in around 8:35. It took a few minutes but we were quickly sat. Nice lighting, dark accents and an intimate feel - I liked the decor immediately. For an appetizer we got the burrata which came with crostini and tomatoes. The tomatoes were yellow and the burrata was standard - a nice compilation of the necessary ingredients for a strong start. I also added a cup of cream of crab soup which was good but was lukewarm. For my meal I ordered the chicken parmigiana. Let me start by saying it was good and the rigatoni that came with it was al dente and good as well. But there was little to no sauce on the chicken. It was basically just a cutlet with some sauce garnish. The chicken had a nice fry to it and the seasoning was good - it just reminded me of commercialized Italian like you would get at an Olive Garden. Not saying that's a terrible thing - just wasn't the homemade feel I like in Italian. They were out of a lot of desserts so I settled on tiramisu which was very good. You wouldn't think Italian at the beach but this is a nice place off the beaten path in west o. Give it a shot.

Good sized bar, full service, TV's (NHL Playoffs were on) Staff were great. Side note, whomever was in charge of the playlist knew his or her assignment- well done. Very much an old Italian restaurant feel. Staff was extremely nice and attentive. And heads up the meal will arrive quickly. So do what we did. Order a drink and an appetizer then main course when ready. Portions are very generous. We had ample leftovers- see the pictures- for dinner tomorrow when we get back home.and the pricing were reasonable. The bread is crispy, fresh and warm. So to the food. All the portions are large. Calamari as an appetizer- ohhhh So good. Very light and crispy, not dense or big clumps of calamari. Sauce was spot on. Slight pepper taste to it. They had a special tonight- ossobuco (pork shank) tomato sauce and gnocchi which the mrs had- and so did four others near us. The pork was so tender and fell off the bone, very very good. I was highly encouraged to have the chicken parm. Not sure how the hell they found a chicken that big for the portion I received. Outstanding. Lightly breaded, juicy, very nice sauce and goobs of cheesy goodness.. how any human could eat this in one sitting is beyond me. We have amble leftovers for tomorrow. Mrs got cannolis to go. Pizza made on the spot.. we will be back and this spot is highly recommended.. I found the prices reasonable and better than other offerings in the area. They close at 9 so keep that in mind..

This is truly a hidden gem in DE!…read more I was visiting family over Mother's Day weekend, and we had reservations for 5pm (note: reservations are STRONGLY encouraged for prompt seating). As a Baltimore native, I'm used to the charm of the Little Italy restaurants; pulling up to La Dolce Vita had me scratching my head. It is truly not much to look at from the outside or inside, but-- as my grandmother always taught me-- never judge a book by its cover. I'm glad I didn't. The 2 polite servers were already busy when we got there, but we were seated quickly and provided with our drinks and table bread promptly. The menu is small yet cozy and familiar. The specials were relatively extensive, also (maybe for the holiday?). My family ordered 2 appetizer specials (escargot & clams casino)-- both were alright, but I'm also not a huge fan of either. Plate presentation was nothing fancy, but still looked very nice. With any entree, you receive a side salad-- a small display of fresh spring greens with tomatoes and cucumber. Don't be off-put by the packaged salad dressing. Our table ordered: lamb Ossobucco (special), veal & shrimp Marsala, and chicken parmigiana. Due to the increasing patrons, our main dishes took a little longer to come out, but it was nice to catch up with family. Again, the presentation of the main dishes were nothing gourmet, but hearty and clean. The Marsala has a sweet flavor, which is not usually how I make it, but it was still rich and tasty. I had the chicken parmigiana, and was surprised to see that the side angel hair pasta came with meat sauce-- I later realized that it's listed on the menu (oops!). Their pasta sauce is absolutely delicious, and I wish I ordered more for bread-dipping! Save room and pack up half of your meal, because you *WILL* want their delicious, homemade desserts. Our table shared tiramisu and a cannoli-- let me tell you, they put Baltimore's Vaccaro's to shame. The cannoli was probably the best I've ever had, and the tiramisu was so light and fluffy without an overwhelming coffee flavor. For 3 people (no alcoholic drinks), the total was about $150. This is incredible for the delicious food and large portions! Please please please go here for the best Italian food on the shore!
