I've been here many times before but this time was beyond sub-par. BBQ chicken "melt" was dry and I wouldn't even call it a melt but of the complete lack of cheese! Our server was fine, but the server at the time next to us was talking about her disgusting kidney infection with a regular while we were eating. read more

After a few years of patronage, I noticed the pizza quality has declined and customer service is horrible. We received an over cooked pizza, crust had multiple burnt areas, bottom of slices very dark. I called to complain and was told bring it back. Once I brought it back, the exchange got unpleasant. The representative insisted it was the same as the Newly baked pizza. When I pointed out how the crust was overcooked with multiple burnt spot and darken cheese she tried to convince me it wasn't. Bottom line, I will never buy another pizza, carrot cake, wings or anything from Captain's again. Let her family or one of the cooks eat that overcooked pizza! read more

The Best Baked Ziti I had in a while!! I came across this place through vitiating one of my properties and it was highly recommended by staff members. So I called my order in and it was the most felicitous plate of food. It came with garlic bread so greasy with the perfect amount of oil and garlic it was one of my favorites. The portion was great I was able to eat half for lunch and take the rest for dinner. Are the rest of the bread on my drive back home still fresh and tasty. 5 stars to the chef and 5 stars to the staff and the handle king of my food. I can't wait to come back next week. I'm ordering a few plates to go. If you live in the area or are visiting you must check this place out. And make sire to take some to go if your traveling. read more

Captain's Pizza and Grill - a homemade pizza - Pizza Near Me - Millsboro, Delaware

I decided to try Captain's today because they had a $7.99 lunch special, which gave me two huge slices of pizza with one topping each, and a 22 ounce fountain drink. I have to say I was not disappointed at all. I got mushrooms on mine and, as you can see from the picture, they were very plentiful. The food came out piping hot, and it did not take very long to get it all. I really enjoyed the pizza. I will definitely be going back. read more

I spent $45.00 and ordered one cheesesteak and one fish & chips. HORRIBLE!! Fish was 6 thin straps of mush and bad taste. This was served on 2lbs of undercooked French fries. The cheesesteak did not taste like cheesesteak. We have yet to flgure out what it was. Whatever it was not etable. I called to complain and all the girl could say was a very sarcastic "sorry". I asked about refund and they said I would have to go thru door dash, hence I ordered thru them. We'll, hello! Have u ever tried to get someone with doordash on the phone on Friday night? It's a shame what eating out has turned into. This place and RIP OFF! read more

The pizza we ordered last night had good toppings but had a lot of grease. The crust was not crispy but a soft dough.

We used to love Captain's, including the GF pizza, but hadn't ordered their wings ( a family favorite) during the spring and summer this year. Today, I ordered carryout wings and gf pizza. The garlic parm wings are itty bitty bites that are sitting in about 1/2 " of oil. They put the celery sticks inside the pan with the hot wings so those were warm and soft when I got them home. 10/$17! Never again unless they bump up the size and quality of the wings at this price! The GF pizza tastes good but my air fryer crisped up the crust better. read more

My bad I was getting into town late and they closed in twenty minutes. I was with a small group of people. That happily seat us . Service was fast and menu was a lot larger than I was expecting. A little more than your standard pizza and subs We all ordered something easy. Of course are orders came out fast. For the flavor some was better than average. And value on most everything was in line. I really can't compare this place to others . First pizza place in this area but with this experience I will be back and will recommend this place. read more

They used to have an early bird special that was quite delicious for we seniors and a good deal for us. I always got the same chopped arak. Ordered a Greek wrap. Absolutely horrible. Nothing tasted fresh. The feta didn't crumble, the olives were so clearly from a can, and the dressing soaked everything over three times over. And the wrap was so hot! So much for a refreshing lunch on a hot day. read more

I just ordered clam strips, onion rings and fried mushrooms from this place. Everything was overcooked and dried out. Just plain disgusting. You won't get an edible meal here. read more

I LOVE Captains Pizza. My family recently moved to the area and we've been loyal customers since. We've had pizzas, gluten free pizzas, Stromboli, salads, and loaded fries. I must say as a native New Yorker, this is excellent pizza through and through. The creativity of their menu is attractive, their quality of crust and toppings is great, and i love ordering too much and eating left overs all week. The loaded fries are great to share! BBQ chicken and pizza fries are king. The shwarma pizza is probably my families favorite. We also love the Supreme and any ans all meats. Don't sleep on the Stromboli, we love ordering it to have for many meals after. Glad they're doing pick up during covid! Keeps our pizza cravings satiated. read more

My husband and I have eaten here a few times in the past year. We've also brought family. The service is very good and there are many menu choices at reasonable prices. For us the food is filling and adequate but not fine dining. Many locals eat here because they can get a decent meal at a fair price. read more

great service and pretty good food, but the water tastes like its been scooped out of a fish tank. i couldnt take more than a few sips without feeling sick read more

We had an over all good experience with delivery recently. The pizza was tasty and the greek salad had great, fresh toppings. We called and ordered on a Saturday evening and although they quoted 45 minutes, they were there in about 30. Great for the hungry group! The only downfall was that our garlic knots weren't cooked the whole way through. They were tasty, but just needed more time. If those had been a bit better I'd say we had a 5-star experience. We'll certainly be ordering from here again based on the quick service and friendly delivery driver. read more

Their customer service sucks! Placed an order for chicken patty melt, guy confirmed that it was chicken melt when I went to pick up. Get home and it's meatloaf. It was gross! The bread was all soggy and sloppy. Meat was undercooked. But even before discovering this - I had called to tell them they gave me the wrong food. The manager is extremely rude. No offer to make it right - she just said "well since you said patty, we thought you meant patty melt". UH NO HAG, THATS WHY WE SAID CHICKEN. STEER CLEAR OF THIS RANCID ESTABLISHMENT read more

We ordered two larger square pie's, nothing to write home about. What I did want to point out was there terrible customer service, mainly the skinny dude with pony tail. We asked for plates, they gave us six, we asked for condiments, he said they do not have them to go. A pizzeria with a take-out option, should have garlic powder, red peppers or other condiments to give or ready to go. It might have been an off day for the establishment or the skinny guy with the ponytail upfront, who knows Young man with long hair, turns to the right, rolled his eyes and made a facial gesture to his coworker, in the attempt to keep the interaction civil. We simply asked the cashier lady and she happily got us small containers of the condiments to go. Friendly note to business, should review your front customer facing employees, one bad experience can ruin your reputation and business. Luckily we are not from the area so won't be back until the next trip read more

I have been eating here for about two years. At first i thought it just ok. sort of reminded me a Franks pizza in NJ. The place is way too big. I started ordering different things and they were all really good. Recently ive had their -pork souvlaki over rice-very tasty. big portion. Only $10.99 including soup and salad bar. Great prices on all menu items. -Fried flounder sandwich with fries. you would not believe how good this was for an italian restaurant. great portion and crisp and delicious. -pizza- pretty solid for down here. Waitresses always friendly and they come by often to check on you. Owner John a nice guy. So, summarizing- great food, great portions, good salad and soup bar. pizza very good. Service always great. Great value great lunch and dinner specials. go and enjoy and youll be back. read more

My family and I have eaten here several times in the last few weeks since we just moved our campers to the area. This place is fantastic. The food is delicious and the people are super friendly. First of all the menu is huge. It doesn't matter if everyone in the family wants a different style of food- the whole family can be pleased here. The liver and onions was the best surprise on the menu... reminded me of when my grandma used to make it for us for sunday dinners. This is a must try if it a dish you even halfway enjoy. The lasagna pizza is a great option for pizza. Tastes exactly like lasagna but on top of dough. The garlic knots are a must order as soon as we walk in the door. Seasoned to perfection! You can not go wrong here. read more

It's been a long time since we gave this place another shot and wow, was there a change. My first review was raving about the white pizza I returned a few months later and it went from the best to some of the worst. It was a greasy sloppy mess and I was embarrassed to have talked it up so much to my guests only to have it give 3 of us horrible stomach aches. I was in a huge rush today and decided to quickly swing through after a 7 hour drive because I knew there was no food in the fridge and I was starving. This visit I got two slices to-go and upon getting home and seeing them, I was dumbfounded. How could you mess up simple pizza this bad when pizza is part of the name of your restaurant!? This pizza was underheated while still being burnt, farrrr from fresh and tasted like it could have been made days ago. Seriously the cheese was so firm and rubbery and the crust so hard there was absolutely no way that was cooked the same day. It honestly looked, felt, and tasted like it had been hiding under my bed for a month. My husband refused to touch it and I forced down two bites before calling it quits and immediately regretting not just tossing it. read more

A group of us ordered takeout and the food was OK. It's about 2 miles away from Amore (by JD SHuckers) and in comparison, Captain's pizza is better but Amore's Stromboli was much better. At Captain's the Philly cheesesteak Stromboli was dry with little sauce or cheese. It reminded me of Dominos Pizza crust as the dough. The meat lover pizza was pretty good and our friend got a salad which looked delicious. Honestly, the pictures made it look so good but it was just OK. read more

I've been getting take out from Captain's for the last 3 years. People always seemed friendly and helpful except for tonight. I was coming in to place an order when I over heard one employee I think he's name is Jason or Justin call another employee a moron. I was so offended that that happened I left. I didn't want to place my order with a person that would be that hostile to another employee. I wondered how he would treat a customer. He was so unemotional about it, it seemed that he treats that kid like that all the time. It's wrong to treat people that way to begin with but in a business setting it's unprofessional and if it's tolerated and allowed to continue it creates a hostile work environment for the other employees and for the customers read more

They deserve no stars... Do yourself a favor don't order from this place! Mistakes with orders started over the summer and have progressively worsened. They've now goofed our last 4 orders. They make mistakes that make no sense--like adding tomatoes to a cheesesteak ordered with ketchup and mayo only. Sometimes they completely ignore your order, like the time we ordered a cheeseburger sub with ketchup and mayonnaise and received a meatball sub with ketchup and mayonnaise... There are many other examples and if you want to learn more, go ahead and order from them... I will not be going forward. read more

All we want to say is great staff and amazing burgers. My one gripe is that its chilly so please bring your sweater trust me but otherwise 10/10, hence the 5 stars. We came from out of state and were looking for some hearty food. You will find it here. We were sat down quickly on Saturday Memorial Day weekend and our food arrived we even faster. The burgers are heavenly and the appetizers (onion rings , mozzarella sticks and wings) were extremely fresh. We took food to go because the portions are phenomenal. Try a beer because they were amazingly chilled to the bone. Thank you all again!i read more

2 star based on service. As a long time customer, I don't know what happen to this place. The owner used to be great. Him and his family run service great food and service. Last couple visits. 4 large pizzas. $80 spent and they want to charge $4 for 1 small crusted pepper and parmigiana cheese. I've never gone to a pizza joint where they don't provide crushed peppers and parmigiana cheese packets with your pizza order. The rudeness of the staff is what got me. Absolutely zero disregard to customers. Take it or leave it attitude. I mean great if your the only one in town but your surrounded by other establishments. Be nice and take care of your customers. We keep your lights on. I don't think I can ever go there again. Can't support a place that doesn't give 2 shits about repeat customers. read more

This place should limit their menu. The seafood/pasta dishes are really pretty awful. The last time I was there I got the linguine with clams in the white sauce and the sauce was snotty like and thick. It was gross. The last time they had a seafood fra Diavlo and I ordered it. The sauce is supposed to be spicy and it definitely was not spicy. The red sauce was sweet and tasted like jar pizza sauce. What a waste of $19. You do get soup and salad with entrees which is nice. If you do go, stick to the Stromboli's. They are pretty good and large. read more

Don't waste your time or money. The pizza was not good. I've had better frozen pizza. We ordered a regular plain pizza and when it arrived it looked like just a big ball of cheese. Very little tomato sauce. The salad bar which included soup was ok. But the lettuce was all brown. The soup on the salad bar happened to be cream of crab, which I love, but this was far from any crab soup I've ever tasted. In fact not sure there was any crab in it. Too many good pizza places to go, but this is not one of them. read more
