We ordered 2 twists (calzones) yesterday. I ordered the cheesesteak with American cheese and a regular twist. Both were loaded with cheese. They didn't seem to have as much meat in the twists as last time. We also tried the pizza in the past and were not impressed. When we arrived to pick up our order we were told it would be a few minutes before it would be ready. We sat down at a table in front of the cashier. When 20 minutes went by my wife went to the counter and asked about our order. Apparently, it was sitting behind the counter for a while and when our food was given to us it was no longer warm and the bottom of the boxes were getting soggy. Food is horrible. I ordered mozzarella sticks, broccoli bites, and small order of boneless wings. They only gave me 4 boneless wings, mozzarella sticks were tough because they were sitting under the heat lamp waiting for the pizza. The pizza was chewy and floppy. One of the nicest restaurants in the Millsboro area that isn't too bright or dark with a beautiful sitting area , has extremely friendly staff who always joke around with patrons and check in frequently with their tables and make sure the food quality is perfect and if not they fix it immediately . Oh my goodness... just go to the pizza king in Georgetown. I waited almost two hours past the estimated wait time and it was seriously disgusting. My husband went to the restaurant to order a pizza with 1/2 extra cheese about 1 1/2 hrs ago. When he got home (5 mins away) the pizza was cold, over cooked, little evidence of cheese and very salty. Very disappointed! He arrived about 4:40 and ordered the pizza at the counter. He was not told how long it would take but it didn't take long at all. The staff was great, and many of them became friends ... and this is one of my family's favorite places to go. Stopped here for breakfast with the family. Heard a lot of great reviews about the food and the price. I will say the food was delicious. The portions are not huge and I would consider them smaller than most breakfast places I have been too. However the quality of the food was good and tasted delicious. I had the make your own omelet. The ingredients were fresh. My wife's cream chip beef was good but she ordered half thinking the portion was going to be bigger. Next time order the full size portion. My daughters Mickey Mouse pancake was good and a nice size for a kids menu. Our check was just under $20 so I was pleased about that. Now here comes the negative. The service was horrible. We waited over 30 mins for our meal. The server was nice when she took the time to check on us which was only once after we ordered. She did apologize for the long wait which I am still not sure what took so long. I will give them another try only because of how good the food was. I used to go to two PKs: Millsboro and Georgetown. The food and service were good. About a month ago i went to gtown and ordered my favorite...a tuna salad sandwich. There was a thin layer of tuna on it and, even with the bread and lettuce, it was one skimpy sandwich. I asked the waitress about this, she checked with the kitchen and told me that the sandwich was always like that. Even when i told her i had previously bought about 15 of them that weren't skimpy, she insisted this was how they were. Not really. Then i stopped in the millsboro PKs and ordered a sundae. I specifically asked for chocolate syrup cuz i didn't want hot fudge melting it. When it was given to me, it was soup. I told the waitress that it was not made right if it was soup. I was told that they pack the ice cream and this is what they did. Maybe before the whole darn thing melted. I didn't eat it and when the cash register girl asked me, i told her i didn't eat it cuz it was all melted. "Sorry" she said. I told her that i asked for the sundae and considered it was my moral obligation to pay the 5.00 for it...and did. I then told her that restaurants have things like this happen and they should have taken it off my bill. Obviously my waitress did not pick it up in a timely way. Nothing. This particular PKs is more poorly run than the others but the fact that in both of these restaurants they make no concessions when things go wrong....is just not the right way to do business. The worst thing to me is that i am not a 'complainer' and did not like to be in the position that it was necessary. How many people are getting subpar food and saying nothing? We usually go out for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Today we were looking for something new. Found this little gem on Yelp. The food was pretty good and the prices reasonable. For 3 people our bill was $26. Two got omelets which came with home fries & toast. One person got French toast with eggs & bacon. The portions were decent. The server was friendly & attentive. Today I took my daughter out for lunch & with the traffic being so bad due to check in & check out at the beach we decided to try Pizza King since it's been a long time since we've eaten here. What a disappointment, my chicken tenders were so over cooked I could throw them like a brick & bust out the windows & I asked for their beach fries were cooked all together so the inside of the bunch was still raw. I can't even say what my daughter ordered but the whole outside was burnt to a crisp. I don't get to spend much quality time with my daughter, just she & I, due to me working & her busy life guarding while she's out of school. One good thing is this is one lunch the both of us will never forget & when we arrived home we both had to rush to the bathroom. The only part we enjoyed was the sodas. The food is delicious! However, the service is terrible. The server was not very knowledgeable about the wine and beer selection. Apparently, they only serve white wine, which is truly odd. There were only a couple tables in the entire restaurant, but she was nowhere to be found. We had to get up and find someone to give us our bill 15 minutes after we completed our meal. The biggest issue for this restaurant is the people smoking right outside the front entrance. The smoke billows into the restaurant each time the door opens. The employees from the $ dollar store sit right in front and apparently chain smoke because they were outside the whole time we where there. Came for breakfast. The chipped beak was good and the pancakes were good. All in all the food was decent. However the service was terrible. The servers sat in the back talking and eating while we waited over 10 minutes to get our check. It was pretty much the same throughout the meal. Our first time trying this place and it will be our last. We got an order of nachos with chicken. There was almost no cheese and maybe 10 very small chunks of chicken on them. It was mostly a dish of corn chips with a sprinkling of plain tomatoes, red onions and jalapeño peppers that were just thrown on top after they baked the chips. We could have bought a bag of corn chips from Food Lion for $3 and made our own nachos at home and they would have been much better. The small pepperoni pizza was more like a personal pizza. Can I review a place where I didn't eat the food?? My friend and I stopped for breakfast and we were seated immediately. That was the only positive. We waited a very long time during which we observed the young employees goofing off in front of the window to the kitchen. We could not be waited on but these kids had time to toss candy or something into each other's mouth. I finally set my stopwatch and said I will give them 2 minutes. With 45 seconds to spare a server came to our table. We had noticed her earlier taking her good old time chatting with people I suppose were regulars. Not a bad thing however when others are waiting, keep it brief with your friends. We put our order in and waited a very long time for our food. We used to enjoy PizzaKing in Millsboro, DE. My husband and I placed a to go order and were told it would be about 15 min which isn't bad. We ordered a large plain cheese steak and a small ham and cheese sub and a large fry. About 20 min later we asked about our food and they asked what the name on the order was again. While we waited I heard one of the employees ask for a small fry which he placed in a bag and then put in our bag with the rest of our order. It was a small paper sack and I questioned the size and two employees told me that was a large even though I heard him ask for a small fry. Luckily we checked our order before we left the parking lot and they had given us two cheese steak subs and when we walked in to return the small cheese steak they said oh yeah here's the right sub and gave us our ham and cheese sub. Upon further inspection the large cheese steak did not have any cheese on it. It was a very simple order and they managed to mess it up in 3 different ways!!
