This review covers four different interactions here and a more fair review of each of them. Experience 1: We had a relatively good experience eating in here. This quickly became one of our fave dinner spots! They are middle of the road with gluten free options. It was very busy and loud, not something they can do much about. The servers are super busy but always attentive and that plus the food made us want to come back. Plus the decor is kind of fun to look at. They have both indoor and outdoor, it's too cold for outdoor right now but will try closer to Spring. Ordering Out/Experience 2 and 3: The few times I ordered out, my pizza was wrong and the "grilled onions" in my cheesesteak were actually just raw strips of onion. I hate raw onions so it was just gross for me. I would normally say it was a bad day but it happened twice in a row around the same time of day. I'm assuming the cook earlier in the day doesn't know what grilled means or doesn't care. In the evening it's always spot on! Experience 4: We're not needy customers and usually prefer to be left alone while we chat and enjoy our food. I think that's what made this visit beyond frustrating for us. We really liked this place and it was just a very chaotic experience. It just so happened that this experience occurred the day I was catching up on reviews. Our server was a mess. We were patient and kind assuring her that it was okay. They made my husband's order gluten free which we only ordered mine as such. Brought it back correct. No big deal. Then she tried to accuse us of being wrong, now that was annoying. After that, she did not bring our pizza even after we confirmed with her, because she asked, that it was NOT to go. She asked, we said no and stated that we wanted to eat our pizza there. Next thing we know, she boxed it up to go and dropped it off, with the check, after we mentioned we were still waiting to eat it. We left a $12 tip (a dollar less than 20% of our bill) because the waitress got multiple things wrong and blatantly ignored what we asked in a very simple order. Today we see she made the tip $30. Party of three on a Wednesday at 5 pm was lucky enough to get reservations which usually you needed however it looks like Dough bar is going through some changes the restaurant was empty. Maria our server was great we ordered cheesesteak with grilled onions salad & spaghetti with meatball. They advised us that their credit card machine was down so it was cash only , as always the salad was the stand out I've had better cheesesteak but the parm fries are a winner $28 for spaghetti is overpriced. Had heard good things about this place but service was god awful. Think we sat for 15 minutes before a server came over for drink orders. Then after ordering the pizza it took about 30 minutes to arrive to the table and was cold. The dough was paper thin and the whole pizza was watery we had to eat it with a fork. Absolutely loved this place! The decor was fun with anything from a bicycle hanging from the ceiling to a wall made of wine bottles. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They had a nice bar area. Our waiter was fantastic he was friendly and gave great service. All of the employees were friendly and on top of their jobs. They had a good selection on the menu and everything that we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was mouth watering good. Great service, food , and drinks! This is how it's supposed to be when you go out. Super professional staff from A-Z , fully recommend it. IMO, it's the best in that area without question. The decor was also very classy and fun. They also have a great outside area. Update , was there within the past few months and not to impressed with the guy trying to dress like a woman in the back bar who made some lousy drinks and served a dirty glass for wine. We ate lunch today in the plastic igloo with a fire pit outside right on the river. I ordered the soup flights from the winter menu. It was fantastic! 4 different soups ( chili, chicken and dumplings, tomato basil and shrimp with corn chowder) served piping hot. I'm sure they won't have that menu for too much longer but I'll be sure to go back next year to order it again read more

I looked forward to the Lemon Shrimp Risotto and it was good, but its been better. The price was steep for a few shrimp and rice. My table mates got the Bolognese Bread Bowl and also gave it just an ok and felt it was overpriced. One found it too sweet. Specials are usually what is in season and I'm not sure why several of them were marked MP, but then I expected a higher charge. It seemed undeserved for the shrimp meal. The regular menu seems to be the way to go for good choices that give you a meal worth your $$. Our waitress is why our visit got a 4 and not a 3 star. Her timing and service was great. It's not a big place, but they have some outdoor seating (with pods in the winter), and they acquired a nearby building for overflow (which kinda sucked because we were the only ones in it). We had 5:45 reservations for 3. When we arrived the table was ready and set for us. The entrance is off the main road and down an alley but don't be fooled. This place is so cute. They have igloos outside. I started with the Valentines flight of drinks. Delish! So many savory entree choices but I chose chili over cornbread waffles. It was yum. Just enough salty and sweet for me. My friend had a portobello burger and the fries were thick but crispy. My other friend had some sort of pasta that I didn't taste but he was unimpressed. Used to be one of our favorite places in go, but after today not so much. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Actually longer due to the fact that they ran out of the beer requested. As a NY native, I've found pizza to be somewhat lacking in Delaware... The Dough Bar bakes up a VERY good pie. The crust is not over-thick, but still has that crisp bottom, yet still chewy texture you want. Toppings are generous and fresh. Service is exceptional. Other things on the menu are also very good. Pasta available in various forms, and they make a mean cheesesteak too. We've visited a few times already, and this is absolutely worth the 20 minute drive to get there. This is a spin off from Suburban Farm House. They offer dine in and also outdoor bubbles to sit in. They serve pizzas, sandwich's and gourmet dinners. On Mondays, they have a pizza special, ordered a large pizza and get a small personalized cheese pizza for free. I ordered a large pizza with bacon. The pizza is thin crusted but salty due to the bacon but has a good taste to it. The small pizza I ordered was just cheese that has a thicker crust but also has a good taste and texture with the crust. I ordered the meatball appetizer & my spouse ordered the meatloaf. Both were so heavily over salted we could not eat them. Please remember that it is better to undersalt food as the customer can always add, but you can't take it away. Also, so many people have high blood pressure in this country so please do not contribute to the problem. So it is a health issue here. We moved to the Milton area (3) weeks ago. During the building of our house and the past few weeks we have eaten at the Milton Dough Bar 15 times. Every meal that we ordered has been fantastic. My wife is a very picky eater and she has loved every meal. We have taken friends and family with us and the entire experience has always very positive.
