Grilled Shrimp Taco Salad

The atmosphere and food were amazing!! Our server Joelle was excellent and the overall experience was top notch. Definitely recommend if it's your first time in Lewes

I have been to Crooked Hammock several times before while on vacation, and love their beer selections! There is always something for everyone. Today (a busy Saturday) we went for lunch and got lucky with a table right away for a party of 6. Our server was very nice, but was definitely busy! We ordered and it took a bit for our food (mine came about 10 minutes later than everyone else's) but it was all good because we had a great time chatting and catching up. I got the fish tacos, and loved the sauce on them. I got the corn on the side which I was happy about because I wasn't crazy about it. It comes with chips and salsa, but the salsa reminded me more of a vodka sauce. Whatever it was, I loved it! I thought the fish itself was just a little on the chewy solid, but overall, was solid! All of my companions thought their sandwiches were good, as well. This is a great place to come on a summer day, enjoy a nice beer, and maybe play some lawn games!

I have love the crooked hammock. It's been a staple every time we take the ferry. But this time, it was even better because we had the BEST server! Ramon was hands down the best server we have had there in all the times we have been going there. We Ramon!

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfect for families. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Now, let's talk about the food. The guacamole? Absolutely next-level -- fresh, creamy, perfectly seasoned, and served with crispy chips that were just the right amount of salty. We couldn't stop dipping! But the real star of the show was the coconut, pineapple, jalapeño chicken. Sweet, spicy, tangy, and full of bold flavor in every bite. It's one of those dishes you think about long after you leave. The wings were another knockout -- crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and tossed in sauces that hit every flavor note you could want. And nothing goes better with all of that than an ice-cold beer, which they have plenty of on tap. Great selection and served frosty -- just the way it should be. We came in with the whole family and everyone had an amazing time. Lively but not too loud, upbeat without being overwhelming -- it's a place where you can relax, laugh, eat great food, and feel totally comfortable. Highly recommend -- we'll definitely be back!

Steak sandwich and flight of beer

I went after lunch rush on a Thursday, they seemed a bit under staffed, but the bartender was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I had a flight of beer and absolutely loved the Jingle Berry sour! Yum! Their steak sandwich was very good, but a bit messy. I also enjoyed that their fries were cut in a different way. I absolutely LOVED their decor for Christmas! I have no idea if a specialist came in to decorate, but it sure looked like it!! Absolutely stunning!

New spot for us. Seated fast and greeted by great server and her trainee. Place was slightly busy with off season lunch crowd, Theme is supposed to be a backyard barbque, very relaxed and rustic Spouse had iced Tea unsweetened. Spouse went for grilled shrimp taco salad really good she informed me. I wasn't really hungry so I had the cookout wings, with Alabama white sauce, the wings were just barely done, skin was rubbery and the sauce was way too sweet, I've had Alabama white in mussel shoals where it was invented and this wasn't close. I managed to get five down and the rest went home with me and straight into the trash I asked for a side of fries and got a kid's portion, but they were really good fries so not complaining about that. And a beer was good . $58.00 plus a tip

I came here for a late lunch after a beach day with my best friend and her kids. I was quickly impressed with the beautiful layout, the indoor and outdoor seating, the fresh air, and the colorful and bright decor. They had plenty of seating available when we arrived, despite being pretty busy. Our server had a trainee with her and they were both very friendly and prompt. I ordered a burger and the hammock fries. I was definitely skeptical about the fries because I don't tend to enjoy a thick fry, but these were amazing. They weren't too thick, still had a good crisp to them, and were salted appropriately. They were such a fun shape and the kids loved them too. I thought the burger was fine. Nothing crazy to report either way. Always appreciate a pickle on the side, though! I'd love to come back and sit outside with a beer!

Loaded nachos

Food was the bomb! And the service was spot on. Food came out exceptionally fast (ordering loaded nachos and fish tacos). Ate outside on the deck, perfect time of day (about 6pm), not too hot (for May). No need to dress up, shorts shirt, and flip flops are all you need. Would come back here again for sure.

This brewery is more of a restaurant that serves good beer. There is a lot of table space indoor and outdoor, with both an indoor bar and a screened in outdoor bar that we enjoyed our beers on during our visit. Their Sunday brunch menu had numerous delicious sounding options, and the nachos from their normal menu were HUGE. We did not end up trying any food during our visit, but nearly everyone there was getting food and drinks. They also offer wines and mixed drinks

The food was below average. The portions were small and we left hungry. The service was good. The atmosphere was playful and fun for kids. The ambiance is fun and playful. When the weather is nice it is a great place.

Still waiting for my beer while dad is half done his soda

Great food. Okay beer. Horrible service. It took 20 minutes to get a beer. Most of the beers are too hoppy. Need to have more than 2 non-IPA choices! Servers walking around aimlessly

We enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere so much that we made it a point to come back the following year. That second visit was just okay. The food and service weren't quite as good, but we chalked it up to an off day and decided to give it another chance this year. Unfortunately, the third visit was the worst of the three. We were initially seated near the stage where the music was so loud that we could barely hear each other talk. To their credit, the host was accommodating and moved us to another table when we asked. However, our server's response was disappointing. She made a passive-aggressive comment along the lines of, "That's fine if you move, I just won't make as much money." Not exactly something guests expect to hear when simply asking for a quieter table. The food was bland and arrived at different times. Some dishes were cold by the time they reached the table. Several drinks were forgotten, and we had to remind our server multiple times before receiving them. We also spoke with management about our experience, but they seemed largely uninterested and didn't appear concerned about addressing the issues. The one bright spot is the outdoor area. It's a great space with lawn games, a playground, and plenty of room to relax. If you're looking for a place to have a drink outside and let the kids play, it serves that purpose well. For us, though, the combination of poor service, inconsistent food quality, and lack of concern from management means we won't be returning.

Great craft beer and a relaxing atmosphere! My family stays in Selbyville for our annual vacation…read moreevery June and usually venture up to the Indian River Inlet and down as far as Assateague Island. On a Thursday mid-afternoon we were on our way back to the house from the Indian River Inlet and were in the mood to relax with a beer. Luckily, Bethany Bay Brewing was right on our way home so we took a little detour. The parking lot was pretty empty but to our surprise it was rather crowded. The beertender, Mack, was right there to greet us. She was very nice and helpful, did a great job explaining their tap list, and even gave us recommendations for other local establishments to try out. She also gave us an opportunity to taste any beer before we ordered a pint which is much appreciated! My dad got an IPA while my mom and I got flights (5 pours for $15). I enjoyed all of the beers I tried, especially the Blueberry Blonde and Blood Orange IPA. I would have been happy ordering a full pour of any of the beers I had in my flight (I also had Riptide Double IPA, Dark Seas Chocolate Stout, and Birds Nest Lager). They also provide complementary popcorn to their guests which is a thoughtful gesture. They have seltzers, wines, and ciders available for any non-beer drinkers out there, and I did see a sign signifying discounts for veterans and cyclists! If I lived locally I would definitely be a regular here. Next June I will definitely make it a point to stop in and have another flight of 5 beers I didn't try during this visit. We were very pleased with our short visit and were very happy we made the decision to stop in on our way home.
