I went after lunch rush on a Thursday, they seemed a bit under staffed, but the bartender was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I had a flight of beer and absolutely loved the Jingle Berry sour! Yum! Their steak sandwich was very good, but a bit messy. I also enjoyed that their fries were cut in a different way. I was quickly impressed with the beautiful layout, the indoor and outdoor seating, the fresh air, and the colorful and bright decor. They had plenty of seating available when we arrived, despite being pretty busy. Our server had a trainee with her and they were both very friendly and prompt. I ordered a burger and the hammock fries. I was definitely skeptical about the fries because I don't tend to enjoy a thick fry, but these were amazing. They weren't too thick, still had a good crisp to them, and were salted appropriately. They were such a fun shape and the kids loved them too. I thought the burger was fine. You might look at the demographics of the town of.Lewes and realize that the average age of people is around 60! Love the outdoor vibe at Crooked Hammock. We need more restaurants like this where there is a fun space outside good for kids and dogs. The wait was a while, over 40 min on a Friday night. We ordered quickly and food came out pretty quickly. They have a great play area with slides, games, hammocks and bean bag toss. My kids loved the ping pong. It's fenced in which is nice and has lots of fun lights. The food is ok but not consistently great. I ordered the backyard burger which was really delicious. I ordered spicy mustard on the side and potato salad but neither came out and I had to ask. The potato salad was more of a purée with larger onion pieces which wasn't what I was expecting. It was mainly mayo and also a $2 up charge. The Chardonnay was good and my husband enjoyed the Sway. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the low key vibe and let the kids run and play. What a wonderful place! They have the coolest "backyard" hangout for kids and adults. Little playgrounds, hammocks and games! The food is delicious - we have two apps. The giant pretzel which was so soft and roasted. The cheese dip and mustard was the perfect touch. The cup of chili with tortilla chips was just a perfect combination. I had the fish tacos which you receive three amazing, filling ones. My son had the ribs, he said they were so good and my husband had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich without the ranch but it was filling and the fries were so delic! I had one of their spiked seltzer! Crooked Hammock is always a great time. I think they best think about this place is the beer. They brew delicious beer and there are tons of options. I'm a big fan of the sours and they have 4 different ones to choose from which is kind of rare! I recommend getting a flight so you can try a bunch of brews. They also have delicious cocktails. And don't forget to get some beer to go! The food is pretty good too! They have some good appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. I really like the pineapple wings, the nachos and they also have good salads and lots of variety. They have attentive servers and the food comes out pretty quick. This place is also great for groups and families... and it's dog friendly. They have outdoor seating and lots of space. They even have a playground in the back as well as corn hole and other games. Crooked Hammock also has live music out on the stage. This place is an experience! Sometimes it can get really loud, crowded and chaotic... also there can be a long wait in the summer and especially on weekends. We just went with friends who have kids... and Unfortunately there's no changing table in the men's room. Hopefully they will consider putting one in. Crooked Hammock was awesome! First time stopping in and even in the midst of a downpour we were still seated in 15 minutes. The nachos were so good, whatever the cheese sauce is was the most delicious sauce I've ever had. My husband and I said we think the nachos were one of the best things we had on This trip. He had a pulled pork sandwich and I had the blackened salmon salad and we both enjoyed our meals. I really enjoyed mine, the dressing on the salad that paired as the salmon marinade was delicious. We really had a nice time. Not to mention the beers! We left with a couple of 4 packs of the peach beer. It was a great way to kick off our vacation and we will definitely be returning. I am looking forward to trying this place out when the weather is good and we can give the playground a shot. read more

Had the "members only" (free when you join their reward program) special fries that come with a French onion dip. It was very tasty! I ordered the Caesar salad with crispy chicken and it did not disappoint. The dressing was delicious as was the shredded Parmesan cheese with pretzel roll croutons. The crispy chicken was so good, cooked perfectly and great seasoning. would definitely try a sandwich with that on it. The portion size, talking regular menu order was plenty for this hearty eater with leftovers to take home. We sat out on the deck and it was great! We forgot that we could have brought the fur babies with us-many others there quietly laying under the tables. I really liked this location as they have another up North. Fun relaxing place. This place just gives you vacation vibes. They have an open backyard atmosphere with plenty of things to keep you entertained. We opted to sit inside to have our dinner. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our time there. We started out with the street corn fries as our appetizer. It was really good! I went for the grilled meatloaf with mac & cheese. The meatloaf was not the best, I would definitely try something different from the menu next time. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food and I enjoyed the atmosphere. WOWWWW - love this spot so much and cannot wait to come back (this place will not be a staple in our family vacation ). I stumbled upon this going through places on Yelp looking for something new. It was about 20 minutes from Rehobeth where we were staying. Tons of parking and sorta tucked away from the madness. The place itself is awesome! There are two bars here, tons of indoor/outdoor seating, and a little spot to grab a few souvenirs. The hostesses were super friendly and sat us outside upon request. Our server Dakota was awesome! He was knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. He was super attentive during our visit here. The staff overall worked together as a team. I did the beer flight with 4 of their sours and they were delicious! Staycation was my personal favorite. My husband enjoyed a few of their beers. We started with the smashed avocado dip and pineapple wings. The dip was so light and flavorful. The wings had excellent flavor and were different than other wings we've had. The old bay crab dip was delish and the old bay pretzels were a great vessel. My kids got the chicken and mac n cheese as well as the hot wings. It was a nice portion for both. I thought their prices were fair given the portions. There's quite a few fun activities to enjoy while here (both young and old). I highly recommend making a pitstop here. read more

Tuukka & I have become regulars at CHB so much so that most everyone who works there has become a familiar face. Taylor took great care of us on Sunday; I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly crowded for lunch since the tourist season has kicked off. Taylor is friendly & always with a ready smile, and immediately brought out a bowl of ice water for Tuukka. She knows everything on the menu, & is sure to mention any new items, & lets me know of upcoming events Tuukka always gets a medium-rare burger pattie to add to the grilled beef & chicken I bring from home; I think the burger pattie was added to their electronic ordering system because of him. Pleased with our Thanksgiving meal. Every one of the staff was warm, helpful. Our server (Deena) was friendly, capable, and made sure we were served with precision. Just finished a disappointing meal. We ordered a couple jumbo pretzels for us to share. It tasted like the pretzels were cooked in a smoky oven or microwave. It's hard to describe the tasted, but you know when you taste it. It's hard to mess up a soft pretzel but they found a way to do it.
