This is a homey feeling brewery. I went over the summer alone as I have been on a brewery kick and wanted to check it out. Much smaller than I expected but that didn't matter to me. I sat at the bar and tried one of their summer beers and it was tasty. The bartender who waited on me was a lovely lady who talked to me a little just asking where I was from and all. This place seems like a very chill place where you would meet new friends if you just started to chat with others. Very family feeling here. Highly recommend, great vibes and Great Beer!

Awesome service and great selections of beers served by knowledgeable people who know and drink beer. Not all the beers they serve are their own as they also have other local nectars on tap. The inside is a spacious environment with a nice relaxing outdoors area should you choose to be outside (it was too hot for us) enjoying shore air. They have games you can play while enjoying your beverage of choice and I also believe they may serve wine only because I saw a sign but whether they do or not needs to be verified. Prices are reasonable considering it is craft beer. Glad I visited and will definitely be back for another Swishy Pants IPA.

Bethany Brewing is a great hidden gem in Ocean View! The bar is cozy with an unpretentious hometown feel. It's the kind of place you could go have a beer and make a few new friends. They've recently started brewing their own beers. I tried the Sea Mark Saison and loved it. It's a great beach town summer beer, full enough to be more satisfying than a lager or pils but mild enough so you can have a few on a hot day. In total they have 5 beers of their own on tap (more on the way) and you can order a flight to try all of them. They also have guest beers which are quite good! I liked the unique flavor of the Strawberry Pretzel Salad (sounds gross but it tastes like a strawberry sour patch kid). The prices are reasonable and they give you a generous pour. They have happy hour every day and discounts for veterans, golfers and and bicyclists. They don't serve food (just light snackies) but you can order from neighboring restaurants. The staff are attentive, friendly and create a welcoming environment. It's great to see new businesses thrive and I'm more than happy to stop in on my trips down the shore (especially looking forward to having a few in the garden when the weather is cooler). I'm looking forward to trying more of their beers!

Lovely brews and even wines, seltzers, and cider for your non-beer drinkers. Can get food at the place next door!

What a lovely place! From the outside it doesn't look like much... but inside it's so cute! Decorated nicely with good vibes and nice outdoor seating - picnic tables, fenced off outdoor seating with lights for at night. I got a flight - all the beers were GREAT! I definitely recommend muddy Waters. Will be back!

Fantastic Live music of John & Marc Acoustic!

What a marvelous evening at relaxing and homey Bethany Brewing!! My friends were thrilled with the tap selections. As a non-beer lover, there were plenty of other beverage options, including wines and root beer!!! We had pizza delivered and apps from Munchies next door. Everyone can run an individual tab, which is way better than splitting a group check. The live music of John & Marc Acoustic was fantastic. Plenty of room for dancing. Definitely will add Bethany Brewing to the top of the hit list!!

Here is a breakdown of my two most recent experiences. During a solo outing with a friend, we arrived just before 4 PM to grab two coveted bar stools right as happy hour began, which now starts at 4 PM instead of 3 PM. I went with my usual two happy hour pepper creek punches and paired them with the happy hour fried chicken sandwich, adding a side of very good hand-cut fries for an extra $2. The portion was large enough that I brought half of the sandwich home for lunch. Bartender Trevor offered a sample of their malty nitro center of gravity english mild draft beer (4.5% ABV), and I loved the notes of toffee, chocolate, and toasted bread so much that I ended my dinner with two full glasses. Thanks to excellent service from bartenders Bill and Trevor, my solo total came out to a reasonable $36 before tip. On my next visit, I brought my family of four on a Wednesday around 6 PM. We were instantly accommodated at booth table 53 on the right side of the restaurant. They had recently updated their regular menu, and I decided to try the Korean beef bowl for $24, which features soy marinated sliced steak, vegetables, greens, an umami glaze, a fried egg, and spicy mayo served over basmati rice. Our server, Cate J., took wonderful care of us, and the total bill for the family was $152 excluding gratuity. Whether for happy hour or dinner, we will absolutely keep coming back.

With a bright bold colors and stunning architecture, the restaurant stands out on the corner. A huge mural of Delaware beckons the local purity. Inside you are greeted by huge brewing equipment in a two story grand dining room, filled with happy families and bustling servers! We always order takeout and they graciously save close parking spots for carryout orders. The online ordering allows for easy modifications and simple ordering. We grabbed a smorgasbord of flavors and made the entire family happy. The Fried Chicken meal comes with famous Delaware chicken and some fun twists of Gochuchang sauce and honey butter rolls. The fried food traveled well and is expertly packaged. On their website, they advertise Beer Battered Shrimp - and by simply calling in, the manager was able to add an order to our meal! Simple entrees. Bold flavors. Definitely a place worth frequenting on your Bethany Beach vacations.

Luckily, the band was playing outside and none of this impacted our experience inside at the bar. The beertenders were friendly and efficient, especially with how busy Burley Oak was that night. I loved the atmosphere. It was a great venue to spend an evening. It felt like we were on a night out and there was a buzz in the air. Different from another local brewery we enjoy frequenting to relax and soak up some sunshine. We started at one of the hightop tables in the main taproom but moved to the end of the bar after a couple paid their tab and left. Burley Oak typically offers flights and single pours, but there were no flights that night due to the size of the crowd (completely understandable). We still were able to try multiple different beers and styles. I think my favorite was the Brown Butter Apple Pie, which indeed tasted like apple pie--delicious! I also had Sea Heathen, their Lime Lager (wasn't bad but I've had better), and a couple different IPAs. Their taplist featured something for everyone. If you or someone in your party doesn't enjoy beer, Burley Oak also offered mixed drinks, cocktails, and wine. My parents and I of course stuck with beer since we were at a brewery and enjoyed our selections. I also happened to get into conversation with the owner at the bar and he spoke to me like we were regulars. He was very personable, had a great sense of humor, and brought a bunch of energy. It was nice to see someone who was friendly and passionate about their business. We will be back to try more beer during our next stay in Berlin.

Longboard Café is a convenient and lovely stop just across the main bridge into Ocean City. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center lot, plus indoor seating and a covered outdoor patio. It's a very pet-friendly, cozy place. Our server was attentive from start to finish. Rex got a bowl of water, some bacon, and even a cute bandana. That was before he managed to score a few bites of our burgers... because they're pretty big! I had the jerk mahi-mahi tacos. It was a good lunch portion. The fish was cooked a bit longer than I'd like, but it was still enjoyable. The crab cake burger was savory and delicious! The pasta salad, which is offered as a side with many of the entrees, was also excellent. Loaded with herbs, capers, and simply full of flavor. Two other burgers at our table (the Longboard Burger and the Bacon Burger) were also thoroughly enjoyed. I almost forgot... the beverages were great too. The classic margarita was awesome. Good ingredients, that splash of Grand Marnier, and not overly sweet. You might want a second... My kids had the Cosmockpolitan and the Strawberry Lemonade Crush. Both were refreshing and disappeared quickly. Between the friendly service, the good food, the excellent drinks, and the VIP treatment for Rex, we left very happy. We'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is so good that our last dinner was here. That night we ordered the Bonzai chicken wings (DELICIOUS), and chicken and steak tacos. We recommend this restaurant to the fullest.

We enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere so much that we made it a point to come back the following year. That second visit was just okay. The food and service weren't quite as good, but we chalked it up to an off day and decided to give it another chance this year. Unfortunately, the third visit was the worst of the three. We were initially seated near the stage where the music was so loud that we could barely hear each other talk. To their credit, the host was accommodating and moved us to another table when we asked. However, our server's response was disappointing. She made a passive-aggressive comment along the lines of, "That's fine if you move, I just won't make as much money." Not exactly something guests expect to hear when simply asking for a quieter table. The food was bland and arrived at different times. Some dishes were cold by the time they reached the table. Several drinks were forgotten, and we had to remind our server multiple times before receiving them. We also spoke with management about our experience, but they seemed largely uninterested and didn't appear concerned about addressing the issues. The one bright spot is the outdoor area. It's a great space with lawn games, a playground, and plenty of room to relax. If you're looking for a place to have a drink outside and let the kids play, it serves that purpose well. For us, though, the combination of poor service, inconsistent food quality, and lack of concern from management means we won't be returning.
