While making the reservation I secretly noted that it was husband's birthday weekend. The tour was $15 a person all well worth it! We arrived a few minutes before the tour started and we're greeted by Jeff. From our first meeting through the end of the tour he was AMAZING. He acknowledged my husband's birthday and even had a little birthday cake emoji printed next to his name on his "employee punch card". Through small talk we learned we had a ton in common. He was VERY knowledgeable while giving the tour and had answers to all of our questions and about most of the antiques on the property. The tasting at the end takes place in a speakeasy where you actually have to call on a phone booth phone and obtain the code to get in the secret doors. It was so funny and cool. The other guy working who answered the phone and talked to us before the tour was Richie. He was great too! There was only one other couple signed up for our tour time so it wasn't over crowded even though they max out tours at 16 persons. I was pleasantly surprised how detailed the tour was and how full of memorabilia and antiques the distillery was. A ton of thought and love went into building it. There is no way you won't love it! We were provided some unexpected souvenirs throughout the tour such as the employee punch card, a personalized "prescription" and a sticker. Jeff also offered to take a picture of each couple in the speakeasy. Overall I have told so many friends and other people we have encountered about it. I will continue to spread the word and highly recommend you go for a tour! Having gone on a ton of other brewery and distillery tours throughout the country and world, my husband and I agree this one is near the top! Thanks again, Jeff!

Then someone directed us toward the back, where we discovered a huge outdoor restaurant. What a fun, totally hidden place! The floor is sand, the tables and decor are colorful, there are trinkets hanging everywhere and there's even a shipwreck themed play area in the back where kids can explore while waiting for their food. It has a laid-back beach vibe that's hard not to enjoy. Then there's the view. You're right on the bay, watching boats, birds, and people fishing. Oddly enough, seagulls really weren't a problem. The only one I saw patiently waited for a table to leave, then elegantly hopped into the sand, walked underneath the table, and grabbed a lone French fry. Smart bird. Service was attentive, the food was good, and the drinks were okay. I've had better cocktails elsewhere in Ocean City, but my mojito was refreshing. One thing that did annoy me was the cocktail menu. There were no prices listed anywhere. I asked our waitress up front, and she said most cocktails were around $10-$12, which is reasonable these days. So... why hide the prices? I know restaurants often leave prices off online menus because they want you to come in. But once I'm sitting at the table with a menu in my hand, just tell me what everything costs. One standout entree was the fried shrimp basket. Those shrimp had a delicious seasoning that really made the dish. The fish and chips was another winner...classic, tasty and well executed. The steamed clams were fresh, but on the small side. There wasn't any broth, butter, or sauce either...just a dozen small steamed clams. The crab cake sandwich was tasty, although we've had better ones elsewhere in Ocean City for about the same price. Overall, Fish Tales is a very fun place for lunch or dinner. It's about as casual as it gets. Plastic chairs, your feet in the sand, boats cruising along, kids playing on a shipwreck, and a great view of the bay.

First time in OCMD - visiting from New Jersey. Let me start…read morewith this, from what we (as a family) tried overall, this was BY FAR, the favorite of us all! The whole place has a good vibe and a great ambiance indoor and specially outdoor, not even the "stormy weather" stopped the good vibes or the crowd whatsoever, pretty full inside and outside when we arrived (still got sat down in minutes, pretty amazing). Big tables with space for us and all the amazing food and servers/bussers were almost always back and forth, even though we didn't always have our server closer, someone with help as well. We ordered sodas for the kids and 2 cocktails for the adults, their crush cocktail with orange and pineapple was perfect and very well balanced! For the food, MY OH MY, we've been craving the steamers for a while now and let me tell you, this place lived up to expectations! The mixed seafood steamer (with the crabs and shrimp, etc) was pretty much perfect and the crawfish steamer which the wife wanted to try (and I was a little skeptical about) made me swallow my own thoughts, everything was cooked and seasoned TO PERFECTION! As good food people that I am (we all are as a family honestly), I decided I wanted to try one last meal and went for the shrimp (skewer) scampi... never had a sauce as good as this one and the shrimp was not only cooked to perfection, it came with 10 total, which was AMAZING! Check was little under 200$ with tip already which I think it was pretty awesome as well since we all ate GREAT seafood. Would recommend this place and would/will definitely go or come back. Best seafood spot ever! Props to the chef, the employees and the owners for a great place!

Unfortunately, the food was pretty meh. I ordered the Maryland crab soup, and honestly, I could have sworn it was Campbell's canned soup with crab added. It was incredibly salty. The BBQ wings were okay, and my seafood Cobb salad was decent, but the blue cheese completely overpowered everything (I should've requested no blue cheese). My husband had the jerk chicken salad, and unfortunately, the chicken was extremely salty and dry. On the bright side, the service was great. Our waiter was attentive, pleasant, and took good care of us. For about $100 total for lunch, we expected a little more from the food. The view and service were the highlights, but the food just didn't live up to the expectations.

I have been coming to Seacrets since 2010, and at this point it has become a rite of passage for any Marylander looking for the ultimate East Coast beach bar experience. I have survived the hilariously overcrowded Memorial Day weekends, end of summer Labor Day crowds, and even a few New Year's Eve bashes. Somehow, I have always left with another great story. Seacrets has added some serious upgrades over the years, including its own distillery and private floating cabanas for anyone who does not want to fight over the coveted water tables during peak summer weekends. My most recent visit was the weekend after Labor Day during Bike Week, when the crowd was much more subdued than the typical July and August madness. The water tables were still open with servers taking care of everyone, although there was unfortunately no DJ playing on the bay. Our group of five grabbed one of the horseshoe shaped tables in the water, which now has an umbrella providing some much appreciated shade. The drinks at Seacrets are always a hit. My personal favorite is the Dirty Banana with a rum floater. They have also started offering their own Beachin' canned cocktails, including lemon iced tea with vodka and a few vodka soda flavors. They were a great addition when we wanted something lighter and easier to drink in the water. Some people hate Seacrets because of the crowds and occasionally trashy party atmosphere, but that is also part of its charm. One thing Seacrets can guarantee is that memories will be made, even if a few of them are blurry. It deserves its reputation as one of the best beach bars in the country.
