My friend and I went to Ocean City, MD for a girls weekend. We went to see the Amish Outlaws so there was a cover fee. Not sure if it is normally like that or not but we didn't mind. The bartenders were attentive and the crowd was lively. Drinks were a bit pricy but understandable being Ocean City and a tourist spot. We went at night so we didn't get to try any of the food. We came to meet up with our group who were already inside, but it was a little disappointing that we had to pay a cover fee. I think we had arrived right at the start of it since the earlier of our group did not have to pay it. The interior of the place was very cool and filled with plants and plenty of bars. When we were walking around trying to find our group, there was live music being played with a large area for listening and dancing. We met up with our group and ordered a few drinks and were able to watch the sunset on the water. Our first round of drinks were so tasty and good. However, when we ordered our second round, the drinks were much stronger and not as tasty. I think it was a different bartender, especially since we had ordered the same drink of a long island iced tea. We didn't try any food, so I can't comment on that part. The bathrooms were a bit rough; I'm not sure if there was any working AC in the ones I went to 'cause I was so hot! The door stall in the one I was in also didn't close all the way with almost a full inch gap that you could peer into, so I had to pull it close the whole time I was using the stall. We went to Seacrets and tried the distillery tour with Jeff. Jeff was phenomenal and made it interactive and captivating the whole time. At the end of the tour, we got to try three different liquors. They will take the hair right off your chest! Next, we entered seacrets and ate some jerk chicken. Surprisingly good for bar food! Seacrets is such a cool place for a date or with a group. Right on the water, in the sand, under the sun or sunset you have a little slice of Island Vibes on the East Coast. When we went there was live music playing. There can be a wait, but you can wait at the bar and they'll call/text you. Service was good, and the food was great. Save your money and stay away from Secret in Ocean City. I tried to enter, not realizing my physical ID was expired. I offered secondary proof--including a physical card with my full name and a clear photo of my unexpired ID on my phone. ​Instead of professionally explaining their entry policy, the manager (a white man) immediately escalated the situation. Without any cause, he called over staff members who forcefully grabbed me and physically threw me out. The targeted hostility, discrimination, and physical aggression were completely unacceptable. Absolutely disgusting behavior from management and security. This is the perfect reason why ocean city is losing business because of these outdated thugs. read more

Seacrets is an unforgettable experience. It is a must visit as a tourist in Ocean City. I went with friends and I enjoyed the drinks, variety of music, and quality of the live musicians. I do feel like this was a one and done visit. The cleanliness and concern of throw up is a reason I would not return for a nighttime outing. I got to Seacrets right as the sun was setting. It was picturesque outside on the sand holding a spicy marg and taking sunset photos with friends. We then went to a part of Seacrets playing music that reminded me of my 2010 college days. It was nostalgic and so much fun. At this point the cleanliness began to take a turn for the worst and it was truly reliving a fraternity party. I had to go to the bathroom and my stall was out of paper. I used what I could find on the ground to wipe. People around me were clearly drinking too much. The music is so loud you cannot hear people slurring their words and I could see how some guests may accidentally get over served. I danced for hours to the DJ set and then phenomenal live band playing sounds ranging from Paramore to Michael Jackson. As we were leaving my friend needed to go to the bathroom and opened up the single use stall near the exit. There was vomit covering the entire bathroom floor. Who knows when that will be cleaned up. It still makes me gag thinking about the site. Overall I had a wonderful time but I would be weary to return due to the unpredictability of vomit and toilet paper restocking. read more

The server didn't make me feel much better as she said most items are cross contaminated. That was a bummer because I really wanted a quesadilla but ended up with pizza. It was quite good and I also enjoyed the frozen crush drinks. After dinner, we made our way to the club side where there was karaoke. Super fun! This was my first time visiting, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I've been coming to Ocean City for over 30 years, and with my Caribbean background, I can honestly say the brown stew chicken was one of the worst I've had. It had no flavor, no seasoning, no spice--just completely bland. My husband ordered the jerk chicken, and that was just as disappointing. The menu should clearly state that it's made with chicken tenderloins. It was served on a very small plate that looked more like a kid's meal, and it definitely wasn't worth the price we paid. Its ok. It would be a lot better if you came off season, like I generally do, but during oceans calling or any other big event, it is literally for children, not under 21, but grown adults. The jerk chicken is a staple, and probably one of the best things on the menu. The clams are hit or miss. Sometimes they are 12 dime size clams for 15 bucks, sometimes they are regular sized... roll the dice. The service is generally very fast for a place that big, I imagine that the kitchen is probably pretty big, as the food is always hot. Most of the tables are in a spot so that you can at least see the bay, which adds to the ambiance. The best thing about Seacrets are the frozen adult beverages. I love the "Pain". pretty delicious and boozy. Speaking of adults, don't bring your kids after 830. They will either not let them in, or kick them out at 9pm, the adulting hour. Stop by at least once, though, while in OC MD. More worth it earlier in the day for lunch or something. read more

Seacrets is such an enigma in a positive and fun way. The place is truly one of a kind and such a blast. While it was $20 to get in per person, it was totally worth it. The place is absolutely humongous with multiple music areas, beach areas and several bars. From every genre of music, to bright lights and big crowds, you are guaranteed to have fun. Go during the day and enjoy a cocktail in the water and stay all through the night and enjoy the best entertainment. The kitchen seemed to be open late. Enjoy hoop tea on tap; a true Ocean City, Maryland staple. Seacrets has their own distillery and distills much of their own alcohol, including hard liquor and seltzers. Getting there by uber was easy and quick, however, when leaving, uber was not available. Lyft and taxis were available and easy to get outside. read more

This place was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We were a party of 8, and after eating here, 7 of us were vomiting and the other person had diarrhea. We spent the rest of the night fighting over two bathrooms. It was miserable. Before going, I called because it was our first time visiting. The person I spoke with failed to mention there was a $15 entry fee just to get in. They also never mentioned that you have to walk through sand to get to the venue. My wife was wearing high heels, so that would have been useful information to know ahead of time. I was also told there would be a restaurant serving food until 1 a.m. When we arrived, that was not the case. The staff seemed rude, unhelpful, and completely unaware of what was going on. Every question we asked was met with confusion or no real answer. Eventually, we ended up ordering food from the bar because there were no other options. The food was overpriced and honestly some of the worst food I've had in a long time. The only way this place is still standing is either because of all the drunks or because a certain group of people have no sense of taste. Every person in our group ordered something different, and not a single person enjoyed their meal. I ordered the cheesesteak, which was extremely salty and barely edible. The rest of the group had similar complaints about their meals. I've had authentic Jamaican food many times before, and this was nowhere close. I genuinely don't understand the glowing reviews. Either our group had an unbelievably bad experience, or some people have very different standards when it comes to food. Every single person in our party disliked their meal. To make matters worse, none of us drank much alcohol, so there is no doubt in my mind that the sickness started after eating here. Seven people throwing up after eating at the same place is not a coincidence. Between the hidden fees, misleading information, rude staff, overpriced food, terrible quality, and spending the night sick, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone. If you're feeling adventurous enough to eat here, make sure your loved ones have good insurance and easy access to a bathroom. Jamaican food is normally great, but these people are just milking the Jamaica brand while delivering subpar food. read more

If you go in with the right expectations, you're going to have a great time. Seacrets isn't a fine dining establishment. It is a tropical-beach-themed collection of bars and a club. You are paying for the experience. It will be somewhat crowded no matter when you go. People will be loud because they've been drinking. The music will be loud because, again, it's a bar and a club. The drinks will be a little pricy, and the food isn't going to be Michelin-star cuisine. Now, taking that all into consideration, go to Seacrets for some fun. Act like you're freshly 21 again. Even if you're just stopping by for lunch, it's worth it. We went on a sunny Friday afternoon, and we had a blast just sitting at the bar and people-watching. We used to vacation in Ocean City, when we lived in New Jersey. As you can see from my many past reviews this is one of my favorite Jamaican me crazy fun outside dining restaurants among palm trees overlooking the bay. We were here for dinner with our friend, who was visiting us from Scottsdale, AZ. We were seated at a nice table among the palm trees, because the section with the tables overlooking the bay was closed. Our table had a slight view of the bay through the palm trees. I enjoyed my two big bamboo cocktails with Seacrets coconut rum, Seacrets gold rum and Seacrets spiced rum with a Seacrets blend of fruit juices. I also enjoyed my usual blackened rare 6 ounce local yellowfin tuna steak sandwich served on a kaiser roll with pepper parmesan on the side for $25. Blackened adds another $2. My sandwich was served with fries, lettuce, tomato and a pickle. Service here was very good as usual. We agreed we will continue to return here for lunch or dinner. read more

For my first time visiting Ocean City, Seacrets was the perfect introduction. I came with my coworker after our work conference finished in Salisbury. Even though the nightclub areas were closed until the weekends, there was still plenty to take in at the restaurant. The live music, multiple bars, scenic walking areas through plants and flowers were only matched by the impeccable ocean views. We asked for a table by the water, and I couldn't stop staring in amazement. Hearing the waves crash and the sights and sounds of seagulls flying by had me feeling like I was laying on the beach. We both ordered the Bahama Mama, which featured Seacrets spiced rum, coconut and golo rum, pina colada, grenadine and pineapple juice. I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. The jerk chicken cheesesteak was a huge hit! The melted cheese, jerk chicken, and Seacrets spicy jerk marinade made for a mouth watering sandwich. It was a little confusing on where the club part was (I don't think we ever went in as we were always outside) and how ordering worked in certain areas, but we managed it and stayed for several hours. From social media research beforehand, this seems like the bar to be at in Ocean City. I saw all these clips that it could be janky and that wasn't my experience; especially going around Saturday at 8pm. We paid a cover to get in (the earlier you go, the less the cover is I think. It was $15 per person when I arrived). The bar is massive but beautiful. The outdoor seating area makes you feel like you're in the tropics and for late night folks, they have food that's easily available (like pretzels and pizza). They had so many different areas that you can get multiple vibes in one night. I loved the live band they had. We had the opportunity to visit this place just for a cocktail, thinking the place was going to be boring since it's winter. My husband and I found a spot at the bar and were so impressed by the entire place; the ambiance, the vibes, the service and of course the bar and a SUPER special bartender, Moira. Moira took her time explaining what was going on, what happens during the summer, describing the cocktails and giving many recommendations. She has been one of our Top 5 bartenders and we travel a lot. The drinks were great; we order some jerk chicken tenders as an appetizer since we decided to hang out for more than one drink. Seacrets has been a local staple and a favorite of my family for decades. You can't beat the atmosphere--located right on the water with a beautiful view and live music. You can even sit in the water and get served Seacrets' famous frozen cocktails. The Crab Toast is not only my favorite item on the Seacrets menu, but it's also one of my favorite dishes in all of OCMD. I'm gluten free, so I get it on the cauliflower crust. It's absolutely delicious. The jerk chicken is also a favorite of mine. The staff (and "Peace Police") are wonderful at Seacrets. They're no drama and keep Seacrets an oasis, but they also keep customers safe. They're the perfect balance. Seacrets is not just a great daytime place, but also so much fun for the nightlife. I've been coming here for over 10 years. It's always a must stop in when visiting OC. The bartenders I had while visiting during this trip was Diop and Kirk - they were awesome. I had other bartenders as well but wasn't able to catch their name. The overall staff is pretty good. Five stars for an awesome spot with the coolest atmosphere ever! It reminds me of Guanabanas in Jupiter, Florida (if you know, you know!). They have tons of different bars so it's generally easy to get served if you're willing to walk around. Service is fast and attentive, so what more could you want? The view and vibe are both totally unmatched in Ocean City. They ship in all these palm trees to create the optimal ambiance and it really shows. For drinks, I loved the Pain in De Ass, which was a mix of the pina colada and the rum runner. My husband got the electric lemonade which was really tart and a little too sweet for me. Also loved the jerk shrimp. There are definitely people who are only here to black out, but there are other people who are just there to have a good time without blacking out. I like coming here for a drink and then spending time soaking up the vibe! read more
