I've been using this service for over a year now and it was fine, routing service, so when I suspected termites, I had them send a tech to survey & provide treatment options. The remediation was kinda pricey, but I liked the non-chemical options & wanted to keep my pest control all together with one company. At the year mark, they returned to refill the termite bait stations. Or that's what I thought they did, except my roommates let me know the tech walked around the backyard and was only here for a few minutes. I checked the bait stations, and they hadn't been disturbed - the grass was still growing over the edges. Then I get the bill for the service, for $215! I called the company to let them know I was unsatisfied, and they sent another tech over. I KNOW the first guy didn't take care of the bait stations, because the second tech took almost an hour, and showed me which ones he'd refilled, and where he'd had to dig a new one. He also pointed out where he'd had to move things (dog house, etc) to access the ports. So this tells me - the first guy DID NOT do his job. I paid the bill, although I was disappointed no one from the company contacted me to discuss this serious breach of customer service. This experience makes me question the integrity of the services offered - I don't trust them to be in my space anymore. When I called to cancel, the CS let me know it'd be $200 to cancel. I get it - it's in the contract I signed. But my question is - how can you hold me to the contract when you yourself are not adhering to the services you say you'll provide? I may just bite the bullet and pay it anyway, because at least then I know I'm getting what I paid for. read more

Google Review EcoShields Pest Solutions Austin TX has treated my 90 year old parents home in Marble Falls twice in 45 days. My dad sent a check as payment for the last treatment. After the last treatment, my elderly mom has killed 2 live stinging scorpions, one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. They have killed several live black wire worms in the living room. They have lived in this house for over 7 years and have never before found a live bug. They have always had their home treated by local pest control firms. I don't know what you treat with but it obviously doesn't work in their house. My dad was told by the owner that he could cancel at any time. There was no mention of a cancellation charge. The stress this has caused has not been helpful to my elderly parents. This is not how my elderly parents should be treated. read more

This business should be avoided. Technician lied to me and claimed his service would solve my mosquito problem. When I later saw the service I purchased in writing, it clearly did not and I cancelled the contract. Then he claimed he had already sprayed my house and I owed $200. but I know he did not because I had a phone call message from the company saying they were unable to spray because I had a pet in the backyard. They have refused to refund my money. What a terrible way to run business. If they had been honest and forthright I might well have signed long-term contract. Now I am advising anyone and everyone to not do business with them. read more

We've been very pleased with Ecoshield! The team has always been responsive and helpful when we've called. We recently had an issue with springtails, and they helped us get rid of them completely. EcoShield does door to door sales with the line that they were just working on your neighbor's house which makes me automatically suspicious but they offered to clean the cobwebs under my eaves and around windows which other pest companies don't do so that got me. Two techs came the next day to spray the outside and clean the cobwebs. I was suspicious because even though the second guy was carrying around a spray can, nothing was wet. Then I went online and saw that other people had issues with Techs not actually treating. Thankfully I was within the 72 hour contract cancellation and was able to cancel over the phone even though it says you need to mail, hand deliver or telegram (like it's 1890) it in writing. I paid for the first service since they did come out; it was a very expensive cob web cleaning. If you want natural pest control try ChemFree or Aztec; their products work great. read more

They take shortcuts and lie about the service they complete. We have given them the benefit of doubt, but it became a routine issue of them not spraying our entire yard. They would not spray our backyard and would not inform us (but always charged us) and the only reason we know is because we have security cameras. I highly recommend not using them and if you are to monitor (unfortunately) for quality control and completion of agreed service. I will not be using Ecoshield ever again. read more

Local service (Austin Texas) was as agreed. Customer service (which I assume to be national) gave me incorrect information regarding options to terminate the agreement. Even though the agent I spoke to today said he had been let go due to disseminating bad information, she refused to honor his statements. Beware of these scammers. They send young guys to pitch sales. They promise so many things and get you signed up the contract for 12 months. After 2 services nothing changed and we see more bugs , insects and ants in our backyard. The cherry on top is they will charge you for $300 for cancellation. Stay away and do not let their sales representatives to come near your door. They also dare to send another sales person after canceling the contract. The sales person agreed that the service wasn't done properly/correctly. I have this recorded on ring camera. But they would still want to charge me the cancellation fee . I had another big name company for a year and kept telling them about little ants getting in the house. They would roll their eyes and come in and put a plastic bait trap our for them. Nope, zero help. I changed out to Ecoshield. They found 11 ant colonies on my property and took care of them. Not a single ant again. Luke was very polite to ask if we needed anything and knocked again when done. We are very happy customers. read more

Shady. This company seems highly unethical, and I would not recommend. Julian V, the route manager, came to my door and tried to sell me on pest service. After I declined, because we are on a very good pest service with another company (and I am SO glad now that I did NOT switch to EcoShield!), he did get me to sign up for a mosquito treatment, which he specifically said was a "one-time" service. After reading a few negative reviews here, I decided to look into my account page with them, and sure enough, it looks like he set me up for a MONTHLY service. On top of that, he promised a "party treatment" which is the only reason I agreed to even pay for the one-time service treatment. Following the treatment, I've tried emailing, texting, and calling no less than 5 times, and I have not heard back from Julian V or ANYONE at EcoShield. I'm very disappointed to say the least, and I'll be working directly through my credit card company to protect me if EcoShield turns out to be a shady company. Lastly, in regards to their mosquito treatment, I would NOT recommend. At least from the front yard, the amount of mosquitoes appears to be about the same -- and they just sprayed only 3 days ago. Cannot get a hold of anyone at EcoShield. I've tried their "corporate office" which then redirected me to their "local office" which did not pick up, and corporate said they would "leave a note" for the local office. Goodness. Scam scam scam! They hard sell you, talk fast, brush over the contract stuff, and then you're stuck. Good luck trying to cancel. I'm on my 3rd call to confirm my cancellation and each time they say "you have to have one more service and then we'll cancel, but call back to confirm"....and then when you call back to confirm, you need "one more service" or "pay $200+" to get out of your contract. I've asked to speak with a supervisor multiple times, but they're never available. Currently waiting for a call back (again) this time. read more

I really did not want to write this review. But after fighting them for 6 months its called for I would avoid this company completely. Despite having a "no solicitation" sign I got approached at my home. However, I made the exception because my home needed pest control and was starting to look into hiring some help. Punch line - extremely expensive, whatever they did, did not work at all. I Received countless amount of unsolicited phone calls and emails asking for a ridiculous cancel fee. All in they charged me over $500 for a total of 2 services that DID NOT WORK. and you can count on endless phone calls and no one can seem to help. AVOID AVOID AVOID. A $7 dollar bottle of chemicals is WAY better than my experience. I am open to updating my review if they would do the right thing and refund my payment and stop harassing me for a cancel fee. read more
